People, you have to look a certain way in order to be a commercially successful musician. How sad. I love Ariana, but if she didn't look the way she does, she'd be a no name singer too.
Actually Emma did point it out in an episode. She told Will that Amber was like the quarterback or something like that. Use to hit the high notes for shock and awe. Think it was Mattress episode.
The fact that no one is talking about Alex (Unique) is depressing to me. Like, come on! How many guys in the world can do things like this 7:44 ?? He's so underrated it hurts. I wish he had been part of the original cast. The show went downhill, people never really got into the new characters/cast and lots of talents were slept on.
We all knew Chris could sing those high notes, but damn, Darren! It’s mostly in just that one song, but he kills those notes! Also high praise to Matthew and Adam for the same!
A * one is died by overdosing, one is in prison for child pornography and the other one beat up her hubby and is waiting for her well deserved trial, that's what you missed on glee
It’s sad how Amber and Alex’s ranges and vocal abilities were just as good (and arguably even better) to Leah’s but she always had the lead and was always crowned as the best singer. They deserved better.
there's no need to argue - they WERE better than her by a long shot but Ryan Murphy had a clear favouritism to Lea and didn't care if everyone knew - as long as she was always the centre of attention, i don't think he cared - and I'm sure Lea herself made sure of it too.
@@bettysbirb3935 yeah, obviously... I'm not saying she shouldn't have gotten the most songs I'm saying that there were better singers than her who should've gotten a lot more than what they did
Of the five singers who hit the highest notes (Amber Riley, Darren Criss, Cory Monteith, Lea Michelle, Alex Newell), three were male actors. That's impressive.
I think Amber is the most diverse belter. She can belt clearly, with rasp, or with a growl, and hold the note for dear life. And every note in this video she is hitting.
I feel like it's not very fair to rank Darren Criss with the other ones because he's a guy and I know Alex is a guy too but he played the role of unique who was a girl.
Keegen O'Meara to be fair, notes like that are hard to hit with any sort of word enunciation unless it’s a quick note then back down to a more human range. Lol
I mean I sing 1st sup and it is hard when they go PrOnOuNcE yOuR LeTtErS oN ThAt F5!!!!! So most of them aren't going to be a real word. Take the E6 from phantom of the opera, you couldn't physically say anything but AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
@@Clara-uw2lb Yea lol like when ur in the top of the 5th octave or on the 6th octave you're just forced to just stay with open mouth vowels(except for So hyang, she slays in the higher scales of 5th octave and still manages to support and say words in the note)
@@rhainjeus2519 Yeah in choir we were singing this song and there was a part where we had to really pronounce the words on the 5th octave and it was so hard that most of the first sopranos had to drop to sing the second soprano line. Now that is a comfortable range for me but really enunciating was sooooo difficult.
@@Clara-uw2lb Well pronouncing on the higher scales of 5th octave needs a ridiculous amount of training,so yea the soprano's would have a hard time in pronouncing the words
Even thought I don't like Rachel as a person, I can't deny how talented she is Also, my top three best singers (imo) are: 1) Mercedes 2) Santana 3) Rachel
I really think Blaine should be in that top 3. In my opinion, he should be in second place. It is extremely hard for some guys to sing the way he does, and he does it flawlessly every single time he sings. He is not like most of the guys on the cast who can only sing within certain limits. He is also one of the only people on the show to sing live more than once (total of 4 or 5 times). Plus he actually never intended to be a singer which is saying something.
The max note I can hit live is G#5 I don't know my highest I tried many notes but the highest note I can hit an A5 just tested it a few days ago I'm an 11 years old male
1:23 got me in my emotions, I don't watch Glee but that note + run + man's look on his face make this scene so emotional to me They're all extremely good singers 👏
A couple notes were pitched up, I recognized the channel is Fox Italy or something like that. I don't know why, but they pitched everything up. Halo is an A5 and As Long As You're There is an E5. It doesn't make them any less impressive though lol
12 year old me was not good at picking usernames technique is also Amber....do u know how much vocal ability u need to have to keep sustaining all those damn high notes she did
Lea Michele is an amazing talent, and I’ve adored her albums since Glee ended, but this compilation went absolutely to Amber Riley. That voice, those pipes, her terrific stamina...she’s a beast.
