what Burt is saying is perfectly reasonable. he's not homophobic and he never has been. he's setting the same kind of boundaries for Kurt that he set for Finn
I get Kurt sometimes has to pull the “is it cause I’m gay” card out but I think Burt was just being a typical dad like if you have a boy/girl in your room you have to keep the door open or like if they stay the night they have to sleep on the couch
lol this comes back to bite Kurt in the next episode haha. Burt brings home the pamphlets to talk and Kurt didn't want to. you got to love the relationship the two of them had. a dad who is clueless in some regards, but does try his best to love, respect, and stand up for his son. and he was fair. he would not let Finn sleep with a girl in the house so it is not just him being homophobic (which the show showed many times he was not)
I couldn't help but laugh at the end when Kurt essentially asked his dad to prepare for the day when Kurt asks him about sex. I don't know why but it was funny. Hesitant Kurt is cute.
Kurt was a nightmare this episode. First he's pissed at Blaine for figuring out his sexuality and wondering if hes bi. Then he acts like his dad is being homophobic by asking him not to have sleepovers with boys.
