They wasted Demi’s talent on this show. Adam was incredible like I knew he would be I just wish we got to hear Demi sing more because she has a powerhouse voice. I would have loved a duet between her and Adam. I’m sure it would have sounded amazing to have two powerful voices together

Yes! I commented above and was trying to remember "Barracuda." I could see it in my head but could not for the life of me remember what song it was. I still listen to that one regularly! He's so great, and she often does really well when she breaks out of musical theater mode.

I actually think the opposite, I think Naya just doesn't have the innocence that this song demands. To be honest, even Taylor doesn't have that innocence in her tone anymore, it;s just what happens once your voice matures

Interesting. I think she has too much edge in her voice that Taylor didn't have which takes away from the gentleness of the song. This isn't a scream it heartfelt song but more a tell a story kind of song

@@elliephantom Sorry, I have to laugh, you are putting so much into a cutesy dance move. They all were dancing around happy to be together, and you are putting all the glee lore into one song. This was season 4 where Lea campaigned to have Naya in the NY plot and had less screen time and songs than any other season. This was also before Cory died, and before they had their fall-out. But OMG the audacity to say Lea enjoyed the spotlight cause Cory died is sick. She literally was wasting away to nothing and still has a hard time speaking about him. Really stop acting like you have the facts of what really happened BTS much seems like head canon...... This however was just about her being cutesy which the fact remains she was cutesy in other songs too

@@elliephantom Dude, you are basing a lot of your analysis of this scene on things that happened after the scene. Rachel was being cutesy, it wasn't enough to hate on imo. ...... Dude they got along at times too and spent time together off set even enough so that Lea campaigned for her to be in the NY plot. Dude Naya's dad is not a reliable source, he teases fans about having news, isn't in the loop on her charity events and gets mad at people and the family easily, etc. Dude, Lea's only did one interview of substance with Ellen, the others were a handful of times that got reiterated/repeated or rehashed in to other publications. Not every article written about her/them was new or direct, from her it was just rehashed and pieced together. She even had a stipulation not to ask questions about him at some point. So stop the narrative, she enjoyed it or used it. If she was going to use it, she would have released her album as planned in the fall instead of pushing it back. Dude, that documentary was trash, that is why none of the main cast, recurring cast and guest cast and 99% of the crew wanted nothing to do with it. Kate Hudson also gave Lea her home to stay in after Cory died, so she did not have to deal with the press and could have some privacy. Plus, Kate and her family went to see Lea in Funny Girl. JUST BECAUSE SOME RUMORS ARE TRUE DOES NOT MEAN ALL RUMORS ARE TRUE. Lea can't control the press and how they attach her name to Cory but of course they do in because she is also famous his family is not. Weird that any of this is even being discussed when my OG statement was about the song/scene and reminding the content maker that Rachel was cutesy at times, so weird and frankly unnecessary. And lastly, his name is Cory not Corey, dude.

@@Degrasman_Maddog She was always my favorite character. Not once did she ever apologize for who she was. Every other character had their confidence waiver as a plot line it seems, which is great and leads to the great moral lessons Glee was made to teach, but Santana was more aspirational.

I agree with you except for Gloria. If you are comparing the original singer solely to Lea, I concur that it is a tie. Both are very good. If you include Naya and Adam, I feel that Glee version easily wins.
