I was low key mad about how the writers ended things with Brody and Rachel. We never find out what happens to Brody and they had some serious vocal chemistry. They only gave us four songs, and Dean and Lea sounded amazing together. He should have been in the show longer for this reason. Jesse treated Rachel way worse than Brody and was brought back numerous times as Jonathan and Lea's voices sound fantastic together. Brody should have been given the same treatment
I feel you! This is the one storyline that always bugs me. I honestly liked Brody a lot. I liked how this was the first time a guy was falling for Rachel and not the other way around. Rachel and Finn were endgame but he hurt her multiple times. He was also always trying to hide his feelings for her because he was popular. Jesse was straight up mean. He pretended to like her and only to cause her pain because of him and Rachel’s mother. The way Jesse approached her was just horrible. Her story with Sam was really odd too. I remember in one episode she said something about how she almost had a thing for him because Sam reminded her of Finn. I think they were just trying to fill in that missing gap for her. Anyways, Brody was way different from all the other guys. He was new and she needed something new fresh to start. He made her feel confident with herself and that is something a girl needs. He chased after her and even admitted that he liked her. I think he genuinely loved her but obviously his job got in the way of their relationship. Not only his job but Rachel lying to him too. However, if they hadn’t messed up his storyline, I would have liked to see him in season 5. It would have been nice to get to know Brody more and maybe they might have possibly ended their storyline way better.

I don’t think they should sacrifice the storyline for vocal chemistry personally. I think Rachel gave Jesse more of a chance than Brody because by the time Brody came along she was mature enough to break up with him. I admit the slut shaming was bad, but he lied to her. It would be bad for Rachel’s character development to stay together with him.
looking back, this breakup was actually more painful than i remembered because they were both in the wrong. they had great chemistry, musically and romantically.

I've never really get why they treated Brody like that, either Rachel or the writers. I mean, if I discovered that someone I care about has to sell his/her own body just to be able to study in the same school as me, I would do everything I can to help him/her, not just shaming him/her and running away. But well, it wasn't the only time they just brushed something disturbing out of the picture because they didn't know how to deal with it (you know, like eating disorder, child abuse, and all these happy little things that don't count that much).
right? like i get brody shouldnt have lied about it but he was doing what he had to in order to go to nyada. rachel had everything payed for her so of course she wouldnt understand. brody did NOT deserve to have her ex boyfriend travel just to beat him up, especially because its not his business. its a shame that this plotline was just used as an an excuse to villainize him because hes not finn, it couldve been done so much better. brody was made out to be an awful person when in reality he was struggling
i think the bigger deal should’ve been him lying to her about it rather than him being a male prostitute. even using a condom, he was still at risk of things like herpes, genital warts, syphilis, and mpox and doing it with rachel and not telling her the truth put her at risk too.

Ok... First of all, I love the song and the duet was amazing. Second... Maybe it's an unpopular opinion but I DID like Brody. He was always honest with Rachel about his feelings. He never lied to her, except about his work (and it's understandable why he was ashamed). But the relationship, apart of that, was good, honest and stable. Something very different from his relationship with Finn, for example. Also, what happened to Finn? He only traveled to New York to punch Brody and tell him stay away from his future wife? That seemed scary and obsessive to me. Sorry for my english.

this song didn’t get the recognition it deserved. I saw a comment a bit ago talking about Rachel and Brodys connection, and I went on with their point, because yes Brody was very underrated, only being part of glee for a very short time. And Finn, god that made me think he went physco wasting money to go to New York yet in the end only punching Brody and leaving? Man up, Rachel isn’t your future wife, and the toxicity between them is way too much. Brody might have been very... well.. (you get the point), but he treated Rachel like an actual woman when she was around him. They seemed so happy together, and understanding that Brody did what he was doing as a way to help pay for his college tuition. In the end, this song is amazing, they did an amazing job. Definitely one of my favourite part of season 4 and also I think they have so much chemistry and when u hear leas voice it as if you haven’t heard anything amazing before and the high notes 😍 gives me chills but I think after Finn died sam and Rachel should of been end game xx
NO sam and rachel together is shit. They weren't even properly dated plus sam belongs with mercedes. Jesse and rachel ending together makes perfect sense since it's been established since season 1 plus they understand each other. Also the fact that lea and Jon are best friends in rl makes it better

Okay tho I loved them together. Rachel and Finn where actually so toxic together. And I think she had finally found a good relationship with Brody. Like a healthy happy one. But everyone loved Finchell so of course they’re gonna put them together. Like I like Finn and Rachel, but together they brought out the worse.
Yeah you're totally right. Finchel always broke up after like 5 seconds they were dating. I think they should've been just friends for a while if they wanted to create a Healthy and stable relationship. I mean they were constantly arguing and cheating on each other (also I'm a Samchel stan so that give another reason lolololol).
Same here! I absolutely loved Rachel and Brody. Rachel was always the type to follow a boy like Finn or get hurt like Jesse. Brody was genuinely interested in her and I loved how he chased her from the moment he met her. He obviously had his flaws (his job, sleeping with Cassandra and lying to Rachel). However, he admitted he loved her. I wished they had made end up together at the end of season 6. It would of been nice to see him come back.
@@rinairenia8407 I think it was more her then it was him which caused the relationship to really end. I think she admitted to Brody that he was pretty much a rebound and it was to make Finn jealous which kinda sucked
Milan King I remember her telling that to him in this episode. I can’t imagine how it must have hurt him but I think it hurt her too. I mean if she didn’t really like him why did she cry when he left? I don’t know. Maybe if Ryan Murphy didn’t do him so dirty, we would have had a clear ending between these two. I just hate that he was written off so poorly. He had the potiential to be such a good new character to the show. I feel like everything between them at the beginning was so nice. He made her feel confident and find her new self. He was also very honest about his feelings for her and didn’t try to hide them or anything. I just wish that we had gotten a better closure for him. His ending sucked so bad because we never heard anything about him ever again. I think if he had continued into season 5 maybe others would have liked him. Brody should have had a better storyline and a better ending.

I didn't even notice that this was sung in glee, as if, I can't believe this flew over the top of my head. I must have watched glee like 7 times threw out lock-down and I don't remember this song.
This performance is really good, a fresh take on a song that everyone knows and has heard a million times on the radio. The writers really did Brody dirty though, yes he had secrets but he was not a bad person, i love santana but sending Finn over to beat up Brody just because he is a gigolo was very fucked up. I would have liked to see Brody again in season 5 of 6
