Alright, Blaine Anderson. Time to change things up. Last year was all about letting the Seniors shine. But this year? It’s your turn. I LOVE HIM SO MUCH !!!
@@Talkone0 Dude, this comment is six years old. I was 18 when I wrote this. I am happy to inform you that I, as a trans+ person, have thoroughly moved on from both Harry Potter and Glee
@@Efryd I know it's a comment from six years ago. Actually I thought you wouldn't answer. It is nice to know you changed thought the years for good. Ps: I used to comment similar things when I was younger :)
It's funny that many people are saying how they like Lorde's version better when to be honest I didn't know she put this song out in the first place until I listened to it and then remembered lol Anyways, this version of the song is the cover of the original by Tears For Fears not Lorde. What Lorde did was for a soundtrack which was very fitting for the movie it was for. Why would they sing the Lorde version when the mood of the scene wasn't suppose to be sad. Don't get me wrong, I like Lorde's version but it wasn't suppose to be from her version. Instead of saying Lorde's is better or they ruined the song, listen to the original to understand why Glee did it this way. Also, if this song is such crap then why use another group's song for a soundtrack, or be put in a version that many people are liking instead of the original? This song must have done something for people to listen to it not matter the version.
Welcome to your life There's no turning back Even while we sleep We will find You acting on your best behavior Turn your back on mother nature Everybody wants to rule the world It's my own desire It's my own remorse Help me to decide Help me make the most Of freedom and of pleasure Nothing ever lasts forever Everybody wants to rule the world
I still think he should've transferred back to dalton in the dynamic duets episode cuz it would've added a great twist to the story cuz he would be "corrupted by the dark side" haha
+22yjrobinluvr2 this is pretty good, Lorde's "dark" version is terrible, the first verse or so is ok, but the rest of the song just doesn't work in her style. The best version is still the original by Tears for Fears
Lyrics: "Everybody Wants To Rule The World" Welcome to your life There's no turning back Even while we sleep We will find you Acting on your best behavior Turn your back on mother nature Everybody wants to rule the world It's my own design It's my own remorse Help me to decide Help me make the most Of freedom and of pleasure Nothing ever lasts forever Everybody wants to rule the world There's a room where the light won't find you Holding hands while the walls come tumbling down When they do I'll be right behind you So glad we've almost made it So sad they had to fade it Everybody wants to rule the world I can't stand this indecision Married with a lack of vision Everybody wants to rule the... Say that you'll never never never never need it One headline why believe it? Everybody wants to rule the world All for freedom and for pleasure Nothing ever lasts forever Everybody wants to rule the world
As a general rule, I usually prefer the Glee version to any other cover available of just about every song, but I have to suggest that if you liked Darren's cover you should check out the cover by Ninja Sex Party!! I wouldn't necessarily say it's superior, but if I had to pick one to listen to I'd pick NSP's. :)

i listen to glee version first and at first i thought the song is about success and to be top of the world just like blaine intended to... but then i realize the original version actually talking about war...
