Finn wasn’t purposely trying to out her. He didn’t know people were listening. And don’t pretend Santana didn’t threaten to do that to Dave in this same episode.
Sat karofaky I'm David and not all David are douchebags asshole I'm gay myself out very proud very open so don't put me in a category with that David say karofasky
I feel like Karofsky really was trying to turn over a new leaf and had goodness in his heart. Everyone is deserving of forgiveness and a second chance.
@@G1Grimlock94 Well, he reformed and that's all that matters. He turned over a new leaf. And ironically in the next season, Dave actually tries to kill himself when everyone was bullying him for being gay after previously threatening Kurt to kill him.
I commented on this in the other video, but I like Paul. He is trying hard to have faith in his son. He doesn't get what David is going through, but he does understand what it is like to be a homophobic teen and regret his ignorance.
Can we talk about the fact that even though david made kurts life a living hell he still kept his secret and all he wants is to educate him so he knows the damage that people like him do. Not revenge or anything. Kurt is the best human ❤
Damn burts a great dad... and Kurt is so sweet for David too! Like “you don’t have to come out but you need to be educated” Kurt is so sweet for helping him🥺❤️💫🏳️🌈
Is it really helping him if it’s by force though? It’s clear Karofsky didn’t *want* educated on the subject. He wasn’t ready. But Kurt had the upper hand and used it to push him. Which isn’t as bad as outing but still not exactly fair.
@@Book_Dragon2562 I don't think Kurt was wrong in wanting to educate someone, but when that person doesn't want to change there's no reason to force it on him. Outing is something awful and Kurt as a gay kid knew that and that's why he said he wouldn't do it. Glee isn't exactly realistic to how things would be, but they never tried to be
@@babygurleatsshickennuggits4201 Was it fair that he bullied him for years? Was it fair that Dave threatened to kill him? No. You don't have to change when you are not ready but as soon as you start hurting people with your behaviour like Karofsky did it is efffing time. Even though he wasn't completely ready Dave needed the wake up call right then and there.
I thought it was an interesting choice to make David's dad a bit sympathetic and relatable. Not totally, but enough that he's interesting and seems human.
"I'am both repulsed and impressed by her lady Macbethian ways. A Latina Eve Harrington .....okay if your going to be gay, you simply must know who that is. " 😂😂 I absolutely love Kurt
this is the one time i actually respected mr shue as a teacher, he stood back until he needed to and he put the focus back onto kurts emotions and not karovsky’s motives
This is probably overlooked in this scene, but Daniel Roebuck, who is playing Karofskys dad is such a good actor. He's one of those dudes that shows up across genres all the time. He was in a couple episodes of Grimm, a walking dead webisode, Glee... and my personal favourite voices a character in the jedi fallen order games. Just thought I'd give him some credit, cause he plays alot of minor roles. Glad to see in the past few years he's gotten bigger ones!
I get that Kurt missed McKinley but I wouldn’t have left Dalton, expensive or not. Hell, I wouldn’t have believed nor sat in the same room as Karofsky.
Kurt not warbler never wanted to be a warbler why would Kurt want to be Blaine's pip the warblers r nothing but wealthy stuck up snobs including Blaine
@@micha9907 it's true Blaine and the pips I'm not even sure if Blaine loved Kurt cause when Kurt bulk himself up and was a star at nyada Kurt was sex object Blaine didn't like any of it it's like he prefer Kurt to be a delicate flower for blaine to protect
My favorite part was when Kurt said to everyone just the parents and teacher and a principle and i loved Kurt and Dave speak alone that is my favorite part of the scene. And now i can say this when Kurt doesn't know what is going on and Kurt wants Dave tells the truth ? And i am on Kurt side and he knows what is going on !!! And P.S. i love Chris Colfer so so much ?
I can't even laugh at this irony. It's incredibly unspeakable that this poor kid got driven to that. No human should be made to hate THEMSELVES that much. No human should have to endure that level of hate. And kids of all walks of life wind up facing that. Being driven to suicide is deplorable. I'm glad Glee covered this arc and displays just how horrible and ridiculously dangerous it is - when it should not be!! - to be out-ed before they're ready. The whole cast of Glee was amazing, but Max Adler was phenomenal with this roll, and he's another self-made actor. He got in the door the hard way ...and MADE IT! MAJOR KUDOS MAX. And thank you for stepping up for this arc.
Daniel Roebuck plays David's father. Back in the 90's, he was on shows like "Matlock" and "Nash Bridges" and he was in "The Fugitive" which Jane Lynch was also in.
most bullies become bullies because their insecure and they feel that if they have to knock other's down that they'll feel better about themselves and take their power back from whoever took it from them
Although sue mistreated the kids when she was there as a principal, whenever a kid came to her with a serious problem like this one she fixed it immediately
Jacob Dunbar She would also out Dave if he didn't follow through with her plans. Which almost pales in comparison to the other times where she had sex with Finn just to hurt Rachel or gave Finn and Quinn a DISEASE out of boredom. Or how she planned to use Brittany's stupidity against her by becoming Prom Queen and making her break up with Artie for her. But you know, "The only straight I am is straight up bitch."
@Callie Santana took pride in fucking everyone's lives up on Sue's orders or not. Regardless of Finn and Quinn cheating, Santana put them in the hospital because it was entertaining. She was the most vile character on Glee wholeheartedly.
Callie listen i like santana but she’s terrible. so are most characters in glee? you can like them but don’t pretend santana’s some angel and finn and quinn had some karmic retribution for cheating like they’re the only ones who did that. did you not watch the show? santana literally convinces brittany to cheat on artie by telling her it’s not cheating because the plumbing’s different lmao
Callie if I remember correctly Santana didn’t sleep with Finn you mess with Rachel, she was with Jessie at that time, sue ordered the Cheerios to date younger like madona did so Brittany told her to go with Finn since Santana couldn’t find a younger guy and his birthday was like a month after hers, that time she wasn’t being vile, with the whole Finn and Quinn cheating yeah it was vile but so it was what Quinn and Finn were doing she outed them but let’s not try to find the better good in two wrongs, at the end of the day almost every character in glee did something awful but Santana never played an angel she admit it “ only straight I am straight up bitch”
I think the reason (which may be quite obvious lol) that Karofsky was bullying Kurt so badly is because Kurt represented a part of himself he didn’t like. This is the cause in so many tv shows where the closeted ‘tough’ guy bullys the gay guy because he actually likes him. Not sure if it’s a very accurate troupe tho to real life. However Kurt never deserved that and it was awful what he went through. Kurt may not have been the most macho but he was brave and tough and not afraid to be himself which is very admiring. Haha I kind of went on a rant here but I just think Kurt is a great character and it’s interesting an interesting plot line
I hated David at the beginning but then when people found out that he was gay and he tried to kill himself I felt so bad he had a lot of character development
yeah it’s almost like the point of that episode was for finn to realize that was wrong and that the situation was worse than he realized, and it ended with kurt and finn never having a single problem with each other again in the entire show. that’d be crazy
While everyone says Karofsky was the biggest bully at McKinley High School and he definitely had a lot of terrifying moments (especially the part of threatening to kill Kurt if he revealed his secret of being gay to the school), I honestly think that Azimio was a much bigger bully and was arguably worse than Karofsky. Azimio led the football team (sans New Direction members) into tossing various flavors of slushies at Artie Abrams even after he said he has moral standards about assaulting handicapped people which led a completely helpless Artie being soaked in multiple flavors of slushies, he persuaded Karofsky into tearing Finn's football jacket, he antagonized Finn about being too girly in Glee club when Ken was the football coach, he had Puck tossed into a porta-potty for trying to recruit the team into Glee club, he called both Kurt and Tina freaks and pushed them into lockers (even though they did look a little weird walking around school like that), he harassed a kid into giving up his pants, and officially shunned Karofsky once he found out he was gay. What do you all say?
What I never understood was how Dave was still willing to harass and terrify Kurt after scaring him away from McKinley. That didn't activate his conscience to see how far he'd gone? And I'm not just referring to him confronting Kurt and Blaine in the previous episode, but in this scene, he's technically not sorry, right? He's just doing all this to protect his secret from Santana, right? Oh, I also never understood why Paul believed his son threatened to kill Kurt, and yet still let him go back to the school where Kurt was (up until he left, of course). That's like letting a serial killer out of jail in only a few years.
Amber Fierstein He meant Carol, Finn's mom. *SPOILERS* Kurt had a crush on Finn, so he had Burt and Carol talk at Parent-Staff night... Then Carol and Burt get married.
