@@jubilationbillingslea5476 yea that is true but also on Rachel’s part it’s so self centered about her just quoting glee club just because she got the solo instead of her. Like at least be supportive for Tina for getting it at most not make a big fuss over a song
@@stargirIizzy yeah i used to hate rachel but now i’m impartial. I’m not saying she isn’t annoying because she is. Especially in early season 1 and 2 and with the whole play thing in season 3. But she’s not a bad person. She’s just not used to being told no or being a team player and due to Mr Shue boosting her ego, she never outgrew her old ways. In season 5, it actually costs her the Fanny role because she will always take a bigger opportunity or role regardless of the consequences. And when Tina got the solo, she was obnoxious and instead of Shue teaching her a lesson and letting her fail, he begged her to come back and told her she was the best singer. Therefore, I blame, Mr Shue, her parents, her old dance coach/singing coach, Finn, and essentially anyone else that constantly fed her ego. I’m not saying you can’t complement Rachel but it caused her to become selfish. So Rachel is a product of her environment. She is still responsible for her actions, though. Thank you for coming to my TedTalk.
@@jubilationbillingslea5476 Another point to add onto is when Cassandra (Even though I really dislike her) was mean to Rachel it was kind of good for her to realize “Hey, I’m not the best in the world and I can still improve”
Mr 👟 was def racist or at least just some type of bigoted. Everytime a minority complained he was like “You’re crazy” or “that’s not true” but if it were Finn or Rachel “hey no problem you’ll be singing lead”
Yeah, I don't know if it's a (step)brother always hates his sibs' boyfriends thing, a "I hate anyone richer than me, even if they're perfectly nice and decent" thing, or a "SHIT, he's so good that he doesn't need favoritism to gain solos and go neck to neck with me on male solos!" bit. Regardless, he's a nasty piece of shit towards Blaine for no reason, even when the latter makes perfectly valid points and is trying to help him calm everyone down.
Jared Gooding finn admits he was jealous of Blaine because He was better than him that’s reason why he was treating him like bitch it’s still no excuse though
I just don’t know what Finn’s problem with Blaine because just maybe Blaine might have feelings for Rachel because some of you guys seen the episode of Blame it on the alcohol when Blaine and Rachel kissed and I totally agree with you 100%
The Catholic Latina whenever me and my sisters watch Glee, whenever Rachel came on screen, Mr. Schue came on screen, Finn came on screen, or Finchel was acting all lovey dovey, we all groaned and hoped for the better.
*Anna Parks* the jowls are the flesh of the lower cheek, especially if it's drooping. It happens as you age. As for airbrush, it's common in showbusiness to alter a photographic image using this method, in order to hide or remove flaws/imperfections. Kurt was asking if Rachel had removed her jowls via airbrush on her campaign posters. He was being catty and calling her ugly and haggard.
Yeah well she acted the same way in season 2 when Kurt told everyone he was transferring to Dalton Academy! All she cared about was the fact that Kurt was now their competition.
Honestly I think that Rachel doesn't like worrying about people who's gonna leave the group because it's not her problem and fault. what's there to be sad about it when you aren't the one causing problems?
0:21 Great point, Mike Chang, a fact that Mr Schue clearly never admitted as Mercedes said for two years, he neglected to let her shine at the competitions and gave nearly everything to Rachel Berry.
ikr but when was this Mike Chang when tina lashed out on rachel for basically getting everything and he called rachel one of a kind like thats so out of character of mike to do that to tina
@@AngelaNicoleAArndt he didn't defend Tina and the others when he and all the others didn't get solos. I get that he was trying to make Tina understand that the seniors need their moment on the stage. "Tough love" being an Asian trait. I don't intend on being racist and I'm an Asian myself.
Honestly I hate and love Finn at the same time, but HOW does he put up with Rachel? She definitely has her nice moments, and her voice is amazing, but man! She's really annoying.
Yes I would say look at the second half of first season and the second season. He was rude to her a lot of times tbh. He only wanted her when Jesse came back
I agree I honestly really really really hate Rachel. Lea Michele really ruined glee for me because I cannot stop thinking about how obnoxious and rude she was on set. Like there were more talented singers on that show that deserved to shine and be in the spotlight. I also have a love/hate relationship with Finn. I love Cory! But I’m sorry someone that outs a gay or lesbian person is a fucked up person. He was also all about the team, but really it was “Rachel you shine more than anyone else in that room” like no!
@Beauty please stop with that main character bullshit, WILL is the MAIN CHARACTER, there’s no reason why the show has an entire club of talented singers but only two of them get to sing. It’s frustrating.
finn and rachel only cared about team unity and all that lovey dovey crap if it helped them otherwise they didn't care about anyone but themselves they are trash and rachel should not have had a new york story they should have dumped her and focused on the new kids of season 4 and then had them join with the new kids of season 6 to become a real team and glee club
The writers should have come up with new pairings as well in season 4. The New York story is OK. It's Rachel who is so so bloody annoying wannabe diva from hell. Tina was right about her in season 2 when Rachel sent Sunshine to the crackhouse. In season 3, Rachel tried to "bribe" Tina about the solos. Quinn , Brittany and Santana would have wanted to slap Rachel if they were shown the money. Rachel doubted Sugar Motta in season 3 episode 1
0:28 this is a great point because artie says "it would have damaged my integrity as an artist" but everyone in emma's counseling room silently agreed that mercedes was better, including rachel. they just didn't give mercedes the part because it would hurt rachel's feelings, just like mercedes said, so idk why artie is lying right here and now when he knows the truth.
Ej Scrivens same, even though they are basically the best singers they always have a duo song in every competition. It really gets me annoyed. Then when they don’t get a song together they get all upset when no one else gets a chance to be in the spotlight
Continuing her presidencial campaign against Kurt knowing that he might lose his opportunity to get in college and "They can't cancel MY musical" were the reasons I really started hating Rachel. Up to that point, her crazy diva moments were mostly played for comedy, but she still did some really annoying and selfish things. But from this point on, it started getting really bad... 1:14 was really cute of Lea, though lol
Everything is mostly his fault. You can’t always put two people in the spotlight and think there wouldn’t be tension in the group. It’s so annoying how shocked he is when students or Sue call him out too.
Rachel saying "They can't cancel MY musical", Finn being snippy towards Blaine, and Mr. Schue treating Mercedes' exit as an afterthought is the most annoying thing here. I also didn't like Artie saying that casting Mercedes as Maria would've "damaged his integrity as an artist". Love how Quinn stuck up for Mercedes and flat out blamed Schue
This is one of the times that I really hated Mr. Shu. He was too conceited to realize that he would always rely on Rachel way too much, basically putting all of his eggs in the same basket again and again, and how he really did give Mercedes the short end of the stick almost ALL THE TIME! 😲
one of the reasons I couldn't ship Finchel was because whenever they were together they always acted like they were better than everyone else e.g. 2x09 scene (Mr Shoe was partly to blame for that tho)*
Pianist with Attitude CJ Lynn David everybody wants to see my name but they don't know how to say by the way did you ever left me at the field she listen will come my fisherman
I dont like how Rachel,Finn and Mr shue actes in this scene and also Mr shue thinks its alright to just replace mercedes, if I was Mr shue or anyone in that room I would've did something to get mercedes back because she was one of the strongest singers and plus she never got a solo everything went to rachel and it was clearly true that he favors Rachel because he just gives her a solo without even asking someone to try out for one like for example Kurt,Tina,Santana, and Quinn.(btw if I was artie I would've gave the role of maria to Mercedes, I kind of hated him in this scene.)
This is all mr shues fault he is a teacher and he is supposed to be giving attention to all members of the club but because of favoritism these kids have started fighting each other to be the best and I thought glee club was supposed to be fun for kids to be themselves and mr shue is ripping that dream apart by dividing these kids and treating them differently marking them eat each other alive.
I hated how they never appreciated Mercedes and mr schue bumsucked rachel. In this episode and stuff I really hated Will Rachel artie and finn (Finn less)
I love this show so much. Tbh it tears me down when I see people say who’s here in 2020 or 2021 because we never left. Another thing is that Finn ( Cory ) shouldn’t have done what he did but it was the big brother inside of him not wanting to see Kurt get hurt.
mercedes leaving talk rachel and kurt mad at each other about the election finn and blaine tension finn shading santana the amount of drama in just one scene... this show is insane
0:40 A singer Finn? Did you just call Mercedes "a singer"? And for the record Mr Shue, maybe if you took gave the other members like Mercedes just a little bit of respect she'd want to stay.
Rachel is a lousy sport since season 1. Remember after the first act where the new directions performed Last Name she came last minute and joined. Lucky for her she knew the words. I liked Quinn and Mike pairing up in Somebody to Love season 1
Rachel has been a lousy sport since season 1. Remember the part after New Directions performance of Last Name, she volunteered to be an "understudy" for the second act. Poor things Quinn and Brittany ended up at the back. I liked Quinn and Mike's pairing during Somebody to Love performance. Luckily she knew the words to the song or not they would all have given her hell.
Mr. Shue should have listened to his students. He only ever seemed to mentor Rachel and sometimes Finn. Teachers can’t do that. If you only mentor one student then you’ve already failed
This scene is so messy 😭 blaming Artie for Mercedes quitting, Finn trying to be inspirational but then being rude to Blaine, Kurt and Rachel’s friendship now ruined , Rachel being dramatic asf, Quinn calling out Mr Schue after he’d done so a few episodes earlier…
I now agree with Sue that Mr. Sue has relationship with students.. and Artie says he couldn’t cast Maria as Mercedes but he casts a brunette as sandy??
I’m sorry but isn’t Maria from Puerto Rico? So how is it okay for Rachel to play her but then Rachel has a go at Santana 2 seasons later when she brings up that fanny was a Jew?
i used to love rachel, so much even i wanted to be as good as her, but now that i grow up, what the hell i was thinking??!!! She´s so selfish and disrespectful
Season 3 was fire, everyone desperate to get something to get to go to college, sad that the fandom don't understand this and thinks that this is all about "Rachel being annoying again", "Mr. Schue being a horrible teacher" etc
@@andrehill4266 I see Mercedes being really selfish to be honest. Of course I understand that sometimes Mr. Schue was hard on her, but most of the time she was really selfish
@@ventisimps4059she was definitely selfish for pointing out to Mr.Shue how he treats her & the other members (even Sue jumped in his ass for his favoritism & treatments), how they only used her to belt out notes when she was more than capable of solos (as well as Kurt & Blaine), how she did what was best for her & Mr.shue treated her as replaceabl…. Def was selfish 😅🤦🏾♀️🙄
Why is everyone but Tina talking about Mercedes talent and now her value as an actual person and someone who helped found glee club as a whole (and yet, never got to sing a whole song for a competition. I think)
if i was there i would have smack rachel, finn, and Mr shue so hard they wouldn't wake up until they FULLY AND PERMANENTLY realized what jerks they are to everyone else and then ask ms holly holiday to sub for the glee club
Are you a fucking idiot? Rachel is the biggest bitch in the whole series. And that's saying that she's more bitchy than Santana. Mercedes earned that role 'cause she was better. But she turned it down because she was done with everyone's shit. Got it, bitch? I hope so.
FoxHybridGaming if she was really better than they would've just given her the whole thing lol She didn't earn jack shit she parked and barked and expected an award for it. She should've just taken the offer of sharing the role with Rachel
She was done with everyone's shit. She didn't want to accept that they had it double-casted. She wanted that solo but when she didn't get it, she got ticked. And honestly, I would too.
I agree with Quinn, Schue has such high standards for the kids where in reality he should lower them by quite a lot cuz every single one of those kids are just as, if not more talented than him 💀 (also didn’t like Finn in this, he was a bit of a hypocrite and you can just smell the fragile masculinity on him as he realises a gay guy can amount up to him)
