I had the pleasure of seeing him at the Newport Folk Festival last year. I don't think there was a dry eye in the house after he played "Mercy." One of the best moments of my life!

Funny how one can randomly come across things on the internet they didn't know minutes before they'd be looking at / reading about / listening to. I happened to come across mention on a website of Mic Christopher, who I've never heard of before so I was interested to know more about him. That led me to a link about him and Glen Hansard, whose name I recollect from something but I couldn't recall who he is, although I did know he's a musician. That led me to this video! What a lovely, talented and very interesting guy he is - and I always love that Irish lilt which is so wonderful to listen to. The man could read a boring article from the Financial Times to a hysterically crying baby and be able to soothe it to sleep with his lovely voice!

Love his songs. Had a chance to meet him on Grafton St in Dublin just after he had finished playing with the lovely young buskers. He is an incredible musician and a human being.

I thought I'll Be You, Be Me is a bit weird the first time I heard it. Now I can't stop listening to it.

Best way to end the week... 9:ish with Glenn, fresh bedding- sniff sniff, water and Xanax emmmmm. Background gaming go on in the other room, life isn’t always perfect. Having more enjoyment watching this than last Thursday night live show and that was lots of money and couldn’t wait when it was over. A different artist, I just wasn’t in the ear/head game. Once in 2003 I was studyung in Rockwell College and I heard Glen first - it was on RTE acoustic sessions in an ancient church - and I went positively crazy) about The Frames, Bell X1... Wish You hundred + years of inspiration - and visit Ukraine one day for new impressions. Hope I won't miss that day to hold Your hand, maestro!

The new Album is awesome .. cant stop listening to it .. My Journey as a Concert Photographer basically starts with a Show of Glen @ Tonhalle Düsseldorf back in 2017 ... that was a real honor for me and the pictures i was able to take this particular evening opened many doors for me since then .. i guess he had and will touch the souls of plenty of people in the future .. cause he is obviously a really nice human being and an absolutely outstanding and awesome musician ....

I flew to Philadelphia PA to see Glen from Kingston Ontario and then saw him a week later in Toronto... my favorite :) I can hardly wait to see him in Toronto again, and wow, wouldn't it be wonderful to go to a concert in Dublin :)
