This may feel like an odd choice, but this was one of the songs I chose for my mom's funeral. This song is uplifting, yet has such a bittersweet vibe that it just felt right. I recently found an article where Glen Hansard described this song as ""simply a well wish to a friend, to someone who's been finding it hard to see the goodness in their lives." Now I'm especially glad I chose it, as that was kind of how I felt at the time. I was saying goodbye and wishing her well in her new spiritual journey.
Sometimes you hear a song and just move on. Well, I heard this song and it moved me. My son just got offered a great new job yesterday and I sent this song to him as a congrats and kudos.
Through summers long and winters coldMay you always have someone good to hold,And may good fortune wait on every bend,And may your winning streak,May it never end So, roll the dice, boy, ‘cause my money’s on you,Take my advice now and put your money down too,Because there's something in the eye you can’t pretend,And may your winning streak,May it never end And may the signOf the Southern CrossBe some comfort to you when you're lost,And may the devil's evil eyePass you by Well, it’s not for glory, I tell you true,That I do these things I do for you,But for a promise I made now I must defend,And may your winning streak,May it never end And may the sign of the crossBe some comfort when you're lost,Help you when you're all broke down,May the spirit of good brethrenTurn you around And may the devil’s evil eyePass you right by,Don’t you look back my friend,And may the sisters of good charityTake you in Through summers long and winters coldMay you always have someone good to hold,And may good fortune wait on every bend,And may your winning streak,May it never end May your winning streak,May it never end

6 in a row. Brilliant watching the Dubs singing this song together. May your winning streak never end. I wish Clarke, Vaughan, and parsons a very good future . It was an honour to watch you play.
Wonderful Song ! Love it ! It's a great tune, with excellent lyrics, and Glen sings it beautifully ! Marvellous Video ! It is very well made, really suits the music, and is a top class production ! Many thanks for sharing this fabulous upload ! 5*+ Shared on Google+
Damn, and I was just thinking this guy already made his best material. Shame on myself for being wrong. Can't wait for the concert in Brussels in a couple weeks, I'm really stoked now.
A remarkable song with a remarkable message. This song was introduced to me by Ryan Arnold of WXRT radio Chicago tonight. Let the binary wood warm the mantle and fortify the cast.
sross66 It does sound inspired by Prine's "All the Best", but there's nothing wrong with that. There is no such thing as original music since jazz died.
@sharon are you joking??? Inspired by? You obviously have no idea what you're talking about. There's a difference between being inspired by a song/artist and blatantly ripping them off....... And your "statement" about jazz further proves my point of your idiocracy on several levels.
