Glen gave a presentation on Friday which was really inspirational. Sorry about the quality and handheldedness. I was sitting pretty far back and had to zoom in for these shots.

Stunning work. I love how very alive Glen makes him look. The eyes are the best part. I have got to work on how I draw eyes...those are wonderful (windows to the soul of the Beast yes? :)

notice how he didn't explain the placement of his lines--- top artists like him have an intuitive feeling of design and line placement.

Well, he's not dead is he? He just left Disney. So the guy can still possibly work with Glen Keane, and maybe work for Disney some day, just not at the same time. And why would you laugh or "lmao" at somebody else's rather nice and harmless dream crashing? Seems like a bit of an asshole thing to do....but maybe there is some other explanation.

@oopaulorafael He did supervise it, he was the animation director, and he told all the animators to "do it their own way and to fix it later" I think Tangled overall was superbly animated, and would've been in 2D or 3D.

I am in awe of Glen Keane. Every one of his characters is wonderful. Quick survey to geek out: Favorite Glen Keane characters? This list pretty much begins and ends with Beast, but I'll also show love for Marahute.

omg i cant belive it! im fucking freaking out! at him drawing and im not even there how did you keep your calm im seriously like fucken freaking out at the amazingness calarts im trying for that instead!

@msneverquit So if one wishes to get into Calarts, they just have to be able to do semi-detailed sketches? I'm confused... :|

I can't believe he scribbled out a character in less than 5 minutes! It would have taken me like two hours to do something like that! Damn! I need to practice.

@lovetvshows true girls cant draw, well except for claire wendling and kinu nishimura. those are the only 2 i know of though

Glen is the best!! He rivals only Marc Davis in terms of one of the best charcater animators that Disney has to offer.

Look at his pencil lines...the familiar animator's pencil stroke! Glen Keane is AMAZING.

Is that just a soft pencil or is it some type of charcoal or grease pencil?

Not usually. I suspect it's usually it's an amazing amount of work.
