Gentlemen, i head the argument a couple of months ago in the liquor store, The gentleman was a very big fan of Springbank 10-year-old and I told him I will take Glen Scotia 15 You're old for $75 anytime over $120 plus Springbank 10-year-old, he was extremely upset. There's a huge following for certain campbelltown whiskey but this one and 18-year-old exceptional and one more I have to mention one of my favorites before 2022. Victorianna.

The GS15 need a lot of time in the glass, atleast 30 mins and a good splash of water. Have patience and it will be a dream pour. So much flavour!

My second bottle of GS15 didn't wow me as much at first but as it dwindles it does seem to redeem itself. Always going to be a moody malt for when everything else just doesn't gel that night but that's its charm. I feel the same with all Campbelltown's.

Can I just say that you guys produce the best reviews. I love all your amazing opinions. I'm so sad that you have limited the podcasts. You're my go to on a review for scotch.

I had one years ago (old label) and it was so good that I ordered some more bottles (2016). Still some unopend. They were 45 Euros back then. Great whisky, even greater price. Victoriana back then was about the same price range. Haven't tried the new 15 and probably will not. Thank you for the open words!

Oxygen definitely does the GS 15 yo well imho. The last bottle I had, I wasn't impressed at all after uncorking and having the first few drams of it over the course of a few weeks. So I decided to put it back in the cabinet and let it stay there for.... an undisclosed period of time. Then after approx. a year "untouched", I really came to like it. It was just a different whisky when having been allowed to breathe in the cabinet for quite a while. I'm not saying this is an fact about the GS 15, but I've spoken to other whisky afficionados with the exact same experience. So the advice is, let it rest and get back to it a year or 2 from now. Edit: Just adding another thought... after the first few drams, no way that I would buy another bottle for my stash. After connecting with it after the "one year breathing/resting" period... I bought another bottle straightaway. #justsaying Cheers guys!

Same story as with most distilleries, had this 15 years old many years ago, it was simply brilliant, since then it seems a lot less..........just one little advise when it comes to Glen Scotia, go INDEPENDENT distillery and cask strength!! Thumbs up!!

I had a bottle of this about 6 years ago. It had a strong effervescent quality. It did have some mineral and slightly sour notes, but for me, that bottle was awesome.

Hi Guys, Love the review! .... I have a worrying suspicion that maybe less older casks added. ..just my 2 bobs worth. . I had 2 back in 2019 , plus the Victoriana...Absolutely lovely stuff. But I scored the 15 yr higher. I still have another 2 bottles (bought shortly after) in the cupboard. I haven't tried the latest (rebranded) ones yet... Also, prices have jumped down here in Aus. There are plenty of others still to try.... Ha Ha! thanks again, AL

This funk I describe as “sweaty underwear”… once you get that, there’s no going back 😂

Aged in ex-bourbon American Oak barrels. Paid $80 a couple of years ago. Worth it! You try the Glen Scotia Campbeltown Malt Festival Annual releases.

My backup bottle is dated 2018, bought in 2021 for $67, so I'm a happy guy. I will always argue that if you have to drink a 46% quintessential scotch,...GS 15 has it all going on. And yes, oxygen and time make a very large improvement. I always think of it as the best bottle to have for a "standard" (whatever that means) The argument is GS 15 or Clynelish 14. Diageo coloring vs Non-Springbank funk I think the Campbelltown characteristic is the lively inconsistency. This GS15, with both bourbon and sherry casks should be the best of everything. It's $80 by me, $90???? That's a bit much. Tomatin 18 is a fantastic pour at $90, unfortunately it's $110 by me.

Thank you for the low score, so the price won't go up any higher. It already went up from $79 to $99 in my area. Since you guys have no clue about a good Scotch, let me tell you "it is a damn good Scotch :)". I just open a 2 year old bottle, and it is delicious!

I just noticed today that the GS 10 and 15 have been significantly discounted recently at the major liquor store chain in my area (Chicago-metro). From $80 to $60 on the 15 yr and from $70 to $45 on the 10 year. Not sure if there's any deeper meaning on the price drop.

Come back to bottle in a week or two and see if it’s changed. I find many disjointed whiskies become more harmonious with a lot of aeration.

Good job Nice review guys . I think you were kind of comparing it to Victoriana which is probably le best of GScotia It’s a Campbeltown and a good light funky 15 good but not as good as the Victoriana ( in my opinion) we can get it at a lower price in Canada (80$us)it helps me linking it a bit more 😉

3 well dressed men..and a WTF. But a good whisky that it seems didn't stand out for you guys. Cheers either way. And hope bad bottle vs the new GS 15's not being as good as they used to be.

Very much a shame. I have always loved Glen Scotia especially the 15 and for the old price i was finding it at. This is a new rebranding and seems like a changed distillate. I only knew the old lightly peated 15 year old (Loch Lomond 12 levels) . Glossy black box, glossy gold lettering and red "classic campbeltown malt" on box and bottle and a bottle of 10 year old heavily peated I'm not in a rush to open if the distillery has changed something and I'm thinking it's the lack of peat.

My most recent bottle of the 15 isn’t good. Also, the Victoriana is the most overrated scotch I’ve ever had. Borderline bad, but it’s decent with water.

Old 15 was bad for me, but the new one is undrinkable!!! Sorry Glen Scotia but your juice is very bad.
