Every fall, our family spends an incredible weekend in Glenwood Springs, CO. This year, The Hotel Glenwood Springs was our launching pad for our family vacation as we spent a day at the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park as well as a day at the Glenwood Hot Spring Pool. Just a short drive from Denver, an annual trip to Glenwood has quickly become a family tradition.

Well I live there (used to that is, lived there from 2005ish to 2020) I still live in the Garfield County but just farther away from Glenwood. My old house was actually up that mountain, you could see it from the gondola at the highest part before trees and hills/mountains cover everything. You may have seen the large field along some houses that’s my old neighborhood 😄

Absolutely LOVE glenwood springs! even better when you get to spend a day at Sunlight Mountain Resort, just snowboard down fresh powder in the oak trees! amazing place!

We have not skied there yet! We would love to, living in Colorado our kids get the EPIC pass free so we generally hit up those resorts like Breckenridge, Beaver Creek, and Keystone.

Visiting Glenwood Springs has become an annual tradition for our family. We can't wait to visit again this fall! Any advise for "can't miss" destinations or restaurants is always appreciated. BTW - We love Mattress Firm. Bought our current mattress set there and have been getting amazing sleep since. We may be in the market for a mattress foundation/base soon for our guest room soon. We would love any advise you have!

My fiancé and I were planning on taking a similar trip and vlogging ourselves. Question for the glen wood caverns. Did you guys use a head mount with a go pro? Or chest mount? Not sure what will be permitted on rides.

There is so much to do here, however we have not visited since Covid, so we are not sure what is still open. The amusement park at the top of the hill is a blast, especially for teens and kiddos older than 6. Even if you do not want to use the park attractions, you may be able to take the gondola and just walk around. You should also try to see if the cave tours at the top of the park are open. They are truly amazing to walk through. We generally love to take a day trip to Aspen and walk around that mountain town as well. Lastly, if you can get a reservation at Hanging Lake hike, we have heard it is amazing.

Hey there! Prior to COVID we went every fall, around October. The weather can change and be 75 one day and then snow the next. Its an awesome time to see the leaves change as well.

I have everything booked to go the last week of October. And I am completely lost because I don’t know what clothing to pack. 😬 I really do not want to do any snow activities. Once day I want to do the ATV mountain riding.

@@rzzy313 So that is definitely a time when it could snow or it could be 70-80s.if you are flying in, just really watch the weather report for the area. Even if it doesn't snow during the day, it will get cold at night. Shoes, pants, and medium jacket weather. In Colorado we layer up all year. We have warm coats in the car throughout the year, there may be a cold hail storm in summer and a jacket is necessary. It could also be 75 in December. You are going to have a blast.

Thank you! I will for sure take jackets. And I have been watching the weather since now lol I don’t mind if it’s cold or a little snow but I really don’t want it to ruin my activities. For sure one day we are going to the Greenwood caverns park and the next day I wanted to do atv in the mountains. Thanks for the advice!

This was Fall of 2019, fall of 2020 was the first year that we did not go on a fall break trip in years. We are praying that next year things will start to get back to normal.
