In this episode, we look into an animal that many Singaporeans don't even know exists in our local forests! A local gliding expert, probably as enigmatic as it is elusive-the Malayan Colugo.
Here are some great resources if you want to learn more about the colugo:

Disclaimer!
In the video we mentioned that male and female colugos tended to have different coloured coats based on gender. Though this is true most of the time, in some cases rather rarely, red-coated individuals can be seen carrying young. Not enough is known about colugos yet to understand if these are in fact red-coated females or males helping to carry young. Hence sexual dimorphism, though common, has not yet been confirmed at the time of releasing this video (May 21, 2021). We chose to include the info and use the words "tend to be" to mean that most could be differentiated by their colour, (based on observations in the past that many red-coated individuals possessed male genitalia [*B. Stafford]), also as a means to highlight the family at the end.
However we understand that this can be misleading as the proper scientific confirmation has not yet been published to prove that fact.
Constructive feedback like this helps us when making future videos and we will do our best to make sure we do not post info that might seem misleading in the future!
