I'm just getting slaughtered by its fire breath when it flies up. Can't run away from it because the horse isn't fast enough. I swear, Astrel was 10× easier. This is ridiculous

@@connorbartley4415 I have the same problem as TheUnderDog. We (or at least I) have no problem with the fire attack where Adula Sprays fire while flying over the area. I have a problem when Adula flys up and sprays fire down while standing still in the air. Like he said cant run away, Torrent is to slow.

@@connorbartley4415 Not that fire attack. One of the other ones. It's a quick fire attack when he flies upward. You can't ride away from it, you can't dodge towards it, you can't dodge away, you can't dodge left or right. Can't jump it, can't go under it. It's unavoidable unless you happen to be right behind something right as he begins his attack.

You can. 1- If its flying and spraying fire, go directly left. 2- If its spraying to its feet run away in a straightline, aoe is small you will be safe. 3-If its spraying towards you on ground just run left again. misses everything but yes if done slow can catch you. You are using the pouch for Torrent right? This allows you to hold triangle+direction button for immediate mounting

@@strawhatmucci7086 well my problem is that there's just not enough space to avoid the breath attack. I always hit a rock or rabbit which cuts my speed, get stuck and die. I can't do anything in this arena unlike the other glinstone dragon fight next to the academy.

I beat this guy in the lamest way possible. I summoned a tanky spirit, then I didn't go back in the cathedral, but I did stay on the cathedral stairs and the landing, where there are pillars that like rocks will block the fire and crystal, but not the sword. However, while up on the stairs I found that I could dodge roll and not get hit by the sword. I just allocated my 10 flasks to 9 FP and literally pebbled him to death. Took 20min but he's dead. I tried cooler fighting for many tries but couldnt get him down.

Or as a decent mage you can just spam it with Rock sling from the Cathedral entrance while your mimic ash distracts it from the level below. Quite easy took me one try.

He also seems to have an additional new fire attack that I don't believe any other dragon had. I know this because that's what keeps killing me, where the other dragons were simpler. He flies up and quickly unleashes a fire attack right below him. I believe it to be impossible to dodge, unless you're right behind something when he initiates the attack.

@@SweetJohnnyCage I can't refute that, but I don't feel it's true. I fought many dragons up to then, and it's only when fighting Adula that this move comes up? Not only that, but it used this supposedly "rare" move over and over again? I guess I was very unlucky. Killed it anyway, though.

This dragon is super weak to bleed damage, like bloody slash ashes of war. If you’re trying to kill this dragon, I would recommend using bloody slash.

I'm a mage. Kept getting killed behind the rocks. Ran into the cathedral and it went to the side. I literally took it out with Crystal Pebble going up the broken pillar and shooting down at it.. I tried other spells like rock sling and comet but they burn up my FP so it took a few trys.

Use the I-frames for getting off your horse when not moving to doge the sword attack as well as the crystal breath.

a small tip for fighting , especially on the back of the mule, dont use large swords like the one he has. you get 1 swing every 3 or more seconds, where an axe would give a down and up swing, not to mention it would do far more Damage/second. *for your health*

The headshots helped. I was able to beat him by getting a good initial melee beat down when he first spawned, and then I got some good headshots when it was close enough and dropped him, got some more hits in and then he was basically done. thanks for the tips. If I hadn’t seen this video I probably wouldn’t have tried going for the headshots, it seemed risky at first, but seeing (from this video) that there’s a good pay off of landing a few headshots made me give it a try and I got it first try using that strategy. So the aggressiveness helped a lot too. So in total I got it on my second attempt and it was a cinch, whereas my first attempt I got one shotted by the frost move cuz I was just pussyfooting around. So aggressiveness is key I think !

Reporting a glitch - I was exploring the Three Sisters area. All of a sudden I just get a message ”Great Enemy Felled” and 12k runes. Seems like Adula fell off a cliff by itself or something. Can’t find any loot. Let’s see if it respawns in one of the other areas, it isn’t respawning at Three Sisters. Edit: to be clear, it did not run away at half health. I did not even fight it or see it. It just DIED.

This boss disappeared for me when I made it to half of the dragons health, tried to reset the world by going to a nearby Grace, but the dragon didn’t spawn, I never got the reward either. It similar to the other time when a Deathbird despawned in Liurnia lake but this time it said that it’s slain even though it wasn’t. From Software needs to patch that as that’s annoying.

This location isn't the same as where it disappears. That disappearance is scripted and the dragon will not reappear in Three Sisters.

Not entirely true. If you want to do it all on one playthrough a save scum the endings, you 100% can do it. Get yourself into the flame of frenzy ending, and as long as you do all of Millicent's questline prior to defeating Maliketh, you can get yourself out of flame of frenzy at any point after defeating Malenia.

"Just double jump over the sword 4Head" Assuming you'll be able to see him because of the wonky camera, the arc of the sword isn't perfectly flat, it's diagonal. Even if you get lucky and manage to jump over it, the frostbite will still hit you and one-shot most people, as shown even in this video while you were explaining it. "Just get behind the rock formations 4Head" The crystals will literally fly over the rocks. It doesn't matter if you're standing right behind them, crouched, they will still arc over the rocks and blast you. I have died several times exactly like this. Absolutely fuck this boss. This is easily the worst boss I have come across so far; even others that are hard can still be fun and cool, like Astel who comes before this.

Although I can dodge it consistently now, the flame breath attacks always kill me because there's not enough space to run sideways before you hit a rock, slow down and die from the fire. His sword attack I can survive, even as a squishy mage, but it seems so overkill that everything else one shots you especially after literally just fighting astrel. Astrel was rng but this dragon is like trying to win the lottery on a losing ticket. I want to like the fight but this dragon is just a regular overtuned dragon that is almost impossible to dodge. It honestly feels like radahn all over again except without anything cool about it.

This area is on the plateau above the village, there is only one way to get there. You can get there at the very end of Ranni’s questline which at the very least requires beating Radahn and Renna

Yep there’s a lift that takes you there. It’s far into her quest line I read so it’s best to not worry about that area and just keep moving forward with the game until you can even get into nokron

There’s no order in which you have to but there’s an order of magnitude of difficulty you should go to the dragon in Calid for an easy kill and 75k runes, It’ll give you around six dragon hearts and kill all the little dragons in the area it was one of the first things I did for a little level boost to get myself from 20 to 45 the first dragon summon I got was the rot dragon breath incantation, Helped me kill bosses in the early game

I'm pretty sure the sword Adula holds in her teeth is the Darkmoon Greatsword. if so, Adula would be yet another dragon from a soulsborne that is related to the Moonlight GS in addition to Seath the Scaleless (DS1), Oceiros and Midir (DS3) and the Divine Dragon (Sekiro)

im like 87 with 35 vigor and some defensive tailisman with heavy armor, he straight up 60%-80% my health with each hit, the fire breath once it knocks you down you just get a 2nd hit before you even get up lol, dmg meter of it is def high

I get the notice great enemy felled and 12000 runes but I never fought it in was lost in the fog and it lagged a little then I heard a thud and grumble and the dragon disappeared and i didn't get any of the items

I literally killed this guy 3 hours ago… and now I have to fight him again? For the third fucking time? Literally right after I killed a tree sentinel reskin? I’m ok with enemy recycling occasinally but this is just ridiculous.

The easy way to kill the dragon, go inside the church behind the dragon , then use magic to attack, the dragon magic cannot hurt you when you in the church, use sword hit the dragon's eyes after down. 😁
