The community asked for Sans back. They got it, at the cost of Asriel. Then they asked for Asriel back. They got it, at the cost of Sans, but this time, there was no return for him. A soul for a soul. This is the law of equivalent exchange.

Oh my gosh I’m gonna cry. Sans is just looking at you the whole time and I just... wow. The feelings I have while listening to this

This song seems like it would pick up after Betty and Sans’ blaster duel, but instead of immediately turning to dust, Sans pulls himself together, melting body and all, and throws whatever’s left of himself at Betty, desperate to protect his family. Papyrus is split between sending attacks at Betty to help his dying brother and Healing his injured father. Eventually he realizes he can’t do both, and remembering what sans said earlier about how he didn’t have much time left, tearfully focuses on healing Gaster. Meanwhile, Betty isn’t slowing down, but like the pilot of the series, sans is sending smaller and smaller attacks. The screen may cut to his soul breaking apart piece by piece, and so he brings his broken soul out and uses it to power one last Gaster blaster to push Betty back, much like flowey’s last ditch attack in episode 3 that drained the souls he was using. He reminisces on all of the people he knows and knew, ending on Papyrus and Gaster, and with tears in his eyes, his melting form turns to dust as he fires his last blaster. Betty gets hit, but it doesn’t do much, showing that in his death, sans could barely do anything to hurt her. Cut to ascended #4.

It was an honorable act, the act of love, the love of those he wanted to protect, his brother Papyrus and the one that has sacrifice it all for his survival, Gaster. Sans the skeleton, you were a cunning one indeed and so your sacrifice was not in vain. You will be missed, farewell.

when it comes to sans, you have to look in his eyes to really see what hes feeling, but here, its not just his eyes, but he is even starting to frown, and its not just because he's melting from over using his magic reserves, but he looking at what hes protecting, hes also looking into what he thinks their future will be without him, but its that or they perish, and sadly he knows whats got to be sacrificed

The moments before Gaster's sanity finally broke. You can really feel the weight of everything he was subjected to on his shoulders. This perfectly illustrates Sans' final moments, as well as Gaster's stress finally coming crashing down on him.

Amella! I just wanna say, the work put into this is absolutely incredible! It sounds so emotional and I could really imagine a whole scene happening over there. Honestly? It sounds even greater than the original, and it just adds to it that you were able to pull that off from scratch! Good job, and keep it up! 💙

Already 2 Years since this beauty came out. Poor Sans has already been through so much with every reset and genocide, avenging everybody as best he could no matter how useless it was, he fought Frisk. Bringing down their determination to its knees. Sans was a hero, not only sacrificing himself once but twice. He at least avenged everyone he loved, one last time. Its finally raining, isn’t it… Sans?

Imagine if Gaster didn't quickly react at that time and papyrus sacrifice himself to take the blow instead of Gaster. This gives me the vibes of Gaster grieved over the death of his sons. So there, he'll go all out with his life at stake and use the polychromatism till his soul breaks.

I honestly feel so bad for sans, like, wuh he do to deserve such a painful death, bro literally tried to be a last stand for his race as it was killed off, he sacraficed his life for a child that once tried to to kill him (although, asriel wasn't all there as flowey) and then sacraficed his life yet again for his family. Like, dang :(

I REALLY hope that when all extended versions are done Camila adds some extra animation to the episode. Especially with this part, it honestly felt rushed. Like, Sans died, but forget that because its Gaster time! This extended version would allow that to be SO much more smooth and emotional.

I don't know how to describe this one amella. It's very... ethereal? I was typing down my thoughts and the two words I got were "divine" and "glassy." It's quite different from the other parts, and I absolutely love it. Cant wait to see an epilogue extended version if you're doing one. Also, 105 likes and zero dislikes.

This scene was animated in an amazing way. The animation reflects their pain perfectly. First we have Gaster open his eyes and look at Sans melting. And then we have Sans... The way he looks at Papyrus and Gaster in this scene... Even on the verge of death, he's actually only thinking of his family's well-being instead of his own. Pain isn't enough to stop him, as he finds the strength needed to overpower Betty's blasters, of course, at the cost of his own life. But that was bound to happen sooner or later. He told Papyrus earlier he didn't have much time left.

I loved the original track since release, and the extended versions are gonna make it so much better and much longer to listen to such and epic kickass song.
