He wouldn't lol. Overuse of determination without good vessel for it leads to body melting. Sans proven to be a pretty decent vessel for DT, cause he absorbed soul of determination and haven't shown any signs of melting(ik absorbing souls is different thing but still). My point is, Sans wouldn't die if he didn't overuse Determination. If only Gaster prepared for battle a little bit better and told Papyrus about Rhabdophobia. And Papyrus would probably deliver this message to Sans.

@@motivatedman4630Sans was dead anyway. The only thing keeping his atoms together was magic, and the only way he could access his magic was Determination - as he says in ep 7, he doesn't have long either way. Usually, when a monster dies, their atoms split apart from each other fully, creating dust, as their magic disappears the moment their consciousness does - or, in Glitchtale, some time after, as eating human foods has increased monsters' physical mass, hence why they can bleed and take more hits than normal. However, Determination, in trying to hang on past its limits, retains some of the bonds by itself without magic, but it cannot achieve this by itself as it doesn't have enough magical energy by itself. This causes the atoms to act like liquid as they slide across each other, the bonds preventing them from seperating fully but not holding them fixed in place. The lack of energy needed for these bonds to form and stabilise the monster's condition can be regained only by merging with another monster in the same state. Two liquids mixing together into one and becoming viscous enough to retain their shape, but with their minds forced into one consciousness.
