But I just wanted some people to know that it's possible to have seemingly unapropriate reactions to great things, and it's possible that's what's happening. Or like others say, he's in the mall, it might be a prank, he doesn't want to make a scene, etc.

Judging by what I've seen on game shows, I always found people to lose their minds over a larger monetary prize to be a bit of a US American thing. I don't think I have seen people in other countries reacting quite as out of control as contestants on American shows seem to do.
