lol you're probably a wion bot. she's so proud an anglo official wants to talk to her and use her to badmouth another asian country they fear will end their hegemony.
This is how journalism should work, by asking important questions and allowing them to complete their views without interfering, and listening their theories properly....🙏
lol palki is so proud an anglo bureaucrat politician wants to talk to her and use her to badmouth another asian country which they fear will end their hegemony.
it's really very interesting interview. I liked how palki asked important questions and allowed him to answer and complete his views properly. the flow of discourse was nice .I heard whole interview seamlessly
Yes interviewer interrupting in the middle is annoying. Questions were well thought of and not prejudices or generalised. It like she took out the cream in the milk.
he lectured to use a few times ..... he means what he says and never discusses things that he knows nothing or little about! he doesnt leverage a subject matter he doesnt know with one he does.....
he is a Chinese foods and women eater for a long time. what did he learn by studying in China? I learned about Russia very well living a long time in St.Petersburg, Russia and nothing changed my opinion of Russia.
Stumbled upon this interview. Fantastic interviewer and I knew of Kevin Rudd vaguely from old News. Palki Sharma is quite incredible, really sharp and insightful questions but with, how do I put this? Kindness and warmth. Great job all round and I learned a few more bits of Geo Political knowledge/opinion to add to my extensive knowledge.
22:37 FINALLY, someone says it! Thank you Wion, Thank you Palki, Thank YOU Sir Rudd, for this interview. If only more people can pay this video an attention it deserves!
If he was so great, why was he's ass kicked out of he's own party by a woman Julia Gillard 🤔🤣😂 now he can't stop popping up on TV blah blah blah me me me?
@@mira5196 that was just for the show. Our country have massive cyber security attacks from China but we don't want China and the world about the Chinese commotion. In other words nobody needs to know much how except who knows Sir Kevin. I will stop more comments from here on.
@@themistoclespadulla1106 Who are you to silence me from making more comments? It's the truth what I'm saying i don't make up anything. As for Kevin eleven him self and the other one from he's opposition party Malcolm Turnbull he was replaced by Morrison, this two got together to trash people because both were kicked in the ass by their own party TV was for them when covid people diying,we listen to this two crying me me me. Get over it and let the one in power do the job saving lives.
He is one of the group of Prime Ministers who has greedily and treasonously sold Australia off to the Chinese.. not thinking of our futures and taking away our sovereignty and made it easy for a Chinese invasion of Australia.
I enjoyed the interview. Ms Sharma conducted a very good and refreshing interview without debating her subject as so often seen in the American media. Mr. Rudd was allowed the opportunity to answer questions and I enjoyed his candor. His book is probably worth reading.
India's culture of peace and nonviolence has shaped its foreign policy. It always tried to manage relationship with other countries in a peaceful way. No country has ever exercised so much restraint and pursued peaceful diplomatic means to settle all disputes.
That right there is what prime ministers should be like. Clear thinking and ready to change if evidence presents to the contrary. I am not saying he has all the right answers but he brings to the table a well thought out framework to help analyze this issue.
OMG, Mr. Rudd knows his jam. Not once did he redact/adjust his choice of words. He is thoroughly definitive in his thought process and articulating the same. This video will be my benchmark "Analysis of China" video going forward.
I seem to recall his ministry, there may have been two of them as a chain of disasters and a poor imitation of the Disraeli v Gladstone; Howard v Peacock and Heath v Wilson political fight for place in the Rudd v Gilderine battle for the ALP Prime Ministerial position in Australia.I mention classic Tory longrunning duels in comparison as Rudd and Gillard sort of are Labour conservatives, not the sort who would have said the Greens and Communist Party are essentially the position of long term travel for the ALP. Achievements, Kevin gave us the insulation programme and the 12 diesel submarine defence expansion plan. Both comprehensively buried by the Secret squirrels
I'm not sure about benchmark, but it was a good one to add to his many other good ones. He's had several, long, some greater than 1hr speaches, talks, interviews In the last 1yr since his book release. You'll be equally impressed.
I respect his views and think there's a lot of value in his book too. However, realize that he's purposely being very charming. I'm referring to him using "Mother India", that you respected. Realize when somebody, anybody, is feeding you "sweet talk". Do not eat, or be influenced by "sweet talk". It's a taught and developed skill-set to purposely induce a behavior, whether those reasons are selfish or not, or for positive or negative reasons. Just "hold it in your hand", recognize somebody is "sweet talking" you, but don't "eat it". This behavior of towards somebody "sweet talking" you, can also be used when somebody is critical and insulting you too. It's best to not be influenced, but to recognize that they are doing this, "hold it in your hand", but do not "eat it". Continue to think clearly w/o the influential words. Outside of his "Sweet talk" and charming words, he has outstanding views and wisdom that I greatly admire. I watch most every interview he gives. As expected, he's extremely (excessive in my opinion) charming in all of them, but he shares many outstanding views.
It is always a good idea for smaller countries to go the ways of diplomacy and persuade opposite titans from wars. It is best this way. Ya know when the two titans clash everything in the middle will very likely turn to ash.
@@Leshic2 The problem is he wasn't sweet talking nor was he trying to impress. He did not shy away from blaming manmohan singh nor did he commend India's approach to dealing things diplomatically and peacefully. But, sure I understand what you're saying. Charmingness and sweet talking should be taken with a pinch of salt, don't get swayed or submissive by it.
@@saisubhash1 " The problem is he wasn't sweet talking" We'll just have to disagree I guess.. I've watched several of his interviews. For me, (maybe not to everyone) he's always been a standout in his charisma and beautifully worded compliment. He didn't disappoint me here too. He has a great talent with his adjectives. "Mother India" was one of them, when he could have just said "India".
Palki, great interview! Your tone was down and calm. We were even able to see you smiling, which accentuated even-more your beauty 🙂. Your questions were well balanced and Mr. Rudd was giving a very informative Geopolitic situation of all main powers' different mindset and driven interests. Bravo!
An extra ordinary interview... An inflammable issue discussed... An important personality of the world politics... And Palki Sharma at her best as always! Kudos to WION and Palki Sharma for making news sensible!

23:05 Not many people realize this achievement of India. People know that India is the largest democracy, but don't immediately realize the struggle that goes in for a country so diverse, with such a large population, to manage and to pull off the "Democratic Experiment" successfully. India showed the world Unity isn't necessarily born out of Uniformity. Yes, there are problems and friction within communities at times, but these episodes neither last long nor become defining character of this great nation. Irrespective of any classification (religious, regional, ethnic, racial, etc) an Indian is tagged with, most of Indians still consider "Being an Indian" is the one that reflects them the best.
What you mean Indian frictions don't last long, do you think Muslims are safe India today? Indian population dropped 3% in the last 20 years but Hindu population increased 23% in the last 20 years that's a swing of almost 30%. Hindus are killing Muslims and Muslims are running away from India
If Indians think Indian is the best why do we hear Hindu phobia? Aren't Muslims also indians? What about s i n k h? Hindustva doesn't sound very Indian
What a beautiful interview by Palki. Prime minister Rudd knows what he's talking about, he makes sure of that. Very precise and articulated. His intentions about not wanting a war genuinely came out well throughout the interview. Calm and composed sentencing. More people should talk like him👍
A very informative and enjoyable interview. Kevin Rudd is an expert on China, and Palki SHARMA’s expertise in interviews has ensured a wholesome discussion on a wide range of international issues arising out of an aggressive Communist China under Xi Jinping. His opinion on the path China would take regarding Arunachal Pradesh as and when it swallows up Taiwan, needs to be taken seriously in India.
*I thoroughly ENJOY these longer interviews ..... So much is learned about others opinions, and views of world matters* ..... Awesome job, Miss Palki !!!
From the industrial revolution to India separation, British GDP grew 1300%, 13% per year but the India economy only grew 260% or 2.5% per year The British GDP grew from $30 billion to $330 billion The India GDP grew from $120 billion to $315 billion The British economy outgrew India economy by 5x because of the industrial revolution not because of looting India
Kevin Rudd, one of Australia's greatest prime ministers and true champion of the free world, glad to see him prompting his knowledge on the international stage
Kevin was certainly a contender for the UN secretary general. Its certainly a miracle the world was saved from from that fate As a potentially catastrophic appointment to the top job in New York, Rudd possibly rates in the top five of disastorous near selections with Helen Clark, Shirley Williams, David Owen and Doc Evatt.
Wow, what an interview! Just a more calm, composed and civilized conversation! Much respect for both ! He's just read my mind while putting forth his views, felt like I am answering Palki's questions... and I am just a casual observer like all of us WE know the TRUTH !
Meant as a compliment I know, but there’s no need to comment on her appearance at all. We don’t comment on the appearance of intelligent men - even if they are handsome. It’s irrelevant really. Just so you know…
What a conversation? What a level and standard ! Just out standing , This is true journalism , kudos to all of you .One of The best channels in World .
You will not find such a journalist in France 🇫🇷 or European countries now , very smart and listening to the answers without interrupting is counterpart…
A delightful interview. Rudd's respect for India speaks through. He is very tactful in his speech...so much so that he starts describing and uses the word "Mother India" @23:03
I would say this man is incredibly wise and well informed on all things Taiwan 🇹🇼 BUT.. there is also a lot to gain by choosing the TIME and place of a confrontation…
Yes,.. he knows about human rights abuses in China and does not know of similar in Aus Aus regime has done nothing for its citizen Julian Assange. This is most disgusting shameful display of cowardliness, wasalism and avoidance of basic duty.
I really like Palki's interviews, way of speaking, and reporting style. Not only is she beautiful, she's well-spoken, and very intelligent. In this interview, the questions were fair and pointed. She didn't attack him, and allowed him to answer the questions without interruption, and with respect.
Correction needed on wordings as of "Invading Taiwan 🇹🇼 by the China 🇨🇳"..Please do reread history and political documentaries which CLEARLY STATED that Taiwan was & is part of China 🇨🇳..Therefore, how can U invade someone or something it was/is part of your bodybuilding blocking against OUTSIDER INVASION IS MORE ACCURATELY DEFINED..Thank you..🤝🕊🐼..
Extremely enlightening interview. Cordial, challenging and stimulating. It’s hard to find these perspectives in much of the western media. Appreciate this network. 👍🏾

A brilliant and incisive interview.Historical vision narrowed to the present.Kevin Rudd's responses were never borderline, and set the standards of a leader of substance For instance in reference to the Quad 1 failure to take off,Mr Rudd's response was brutal,he was not responsible, world leaders' including PM Manmohan Singh decided it (Quad) should not take off.Overall an interview that will stand out for the sheer substance in such a short duration, mainly because Palki Sharma Upadhyay and Kevin Rudd both, are in my opinion masters in their respective crafts, journalism and politics.
