It's really great to have Yuval in India to clarify many point of Indian perspective on history belief religion and myth of which many pol. leader try to picture to gain power and personal benefit. Truth sets ablaze on certain aspects, by his speech...
Haahaaha.... I am laughing at you right now cz 3000 years ago a baba said "vasudhaiv kutumbakam" the whole world is one family and he said the same thing.... Think twice before you denounce ancient wisdom.
@@ok9gamer65 Well he's undermining today's Babas not ancient wisdom which today's political system/historians/common people have barely any idea about. Even if our ancestors possessed answers to everything we can't trust today's so called babas. And those 'Babas' who really have all that knowledge should spread the word to the world and try to unite and raise serious issues of future which this man Yuval is doing.
I have extreme high regards for Dr. Harari. His book 'Sapiens' is a life changer in the sense that it completely changes your perspective of looking at the world today. And what's amazing is how Dr. Harari' s analysis applies to modern ideologies like economics and nationalism. I'm thankful to India Today for inviting Dr. Harari. To conclude, as an Indian, I really hope that the global environmental threat is taken seriously not just by the governing agencies but also by citizens. Cleaning the environment should become a birth right of every world citizen.
I always find it interesting that the more a person is informed, educated, knowable, and open the more they are peaceful, thoughtful, humble, and have a globalist view of a united humanity that cares about others, our environment, and greater goals. It's what I inspire to be everyday.
Where are the questions about main topic... ? He is not Indian who just wants to talk about his life and meditation skills. The questions you asked is insult to his intelligence. We can gain so much insights from this person about the serious topics like Globalization, Nationalism, Technology n so on.. but our typical host is just interested in stupid questions.
He is the most gifted historian and minds of today's generation. The questions were insultingly stupid. In future please plant some questions in your audience to save face!! This is pathetic.
Sapiens -- I am just a big big fan of this person .... A beautiful perspective of how humankind has evolved... The book is so brilliant and easy to understand, even for a novice like me....
If we strip away all the fancy keywords, and religion-like aspects, Vipasanna is actually simple but important. As for Ramayana and God.... Yeah, irrelevant questions about irrelevant subjects
He wrote great book “the sapien”. He distilled a lot and wrote perfect book. In many of his interviews he says “know yourself “ to make good decisions and not get manipulated. He says meditation helped him in this regard. I would like to add, behavioural psychology is the study , one must read and think deeply how humans make decisions. I am curious, what is harare’s take on behavioural sciences. I personally think, everyone should study behavioural sciences to make atleast reasonable decisions in life. If everyone does the same, we can save the planet, homosapiens and environment also. Atleast all top leaders of the world should study behavioural sciences, to not make stupid and horrible decisions for all humanity. Behavioural sciences study and application can decrease to some extent human stupidity. Had mr Harare studied this behavioural theory?
When groups began to settle in one place there came the need for rules governing the shared access to nature, to the water, timber, plants, animals and other resources necessary to support life. While these rules were early on based on a desire to achieve equality of opportunity, eventually every society succumbs to the creation of a privileged hierarchy based to a large extent on monopoly control over nature, over land. Control over nature results in the concentration of economic and political power, with the landless forced to compete with one another for a subsistence existence. While we see that the percentage of desperately poor people in almost every society has fallen in recent decades, the absolute number of very poor people continues to increase. And so, millions and millions of people accept and endure the worst hardships in an effort to escape from poverty, from oppression and from brutality.
I have never met anyone in India who has ever meditated like one who just recovered from a 3 month coma, or 10 years in solitary confinement in the Himalayan mountains, or prison. But they sure do know how to make money and do your taxes.
Loved the talk, but I was a bit puzzled by his answer about wheat. Would he have said the same thing about domesticated animals like pigs, cows and chickens? Would he have said that they are the ones who domesticated us, the "poor apes" who kill them by the hundreds of millions and billions? I'm pretty sure that he wouldn't have said that, since he's vegan.
@@wayne7594Vruce Sadhguru often promotes his own methods, his meditation "technologies" which makes a lot of people buy his books. He cherry picks scientific studies that support his theories and completely disregards the general contradiction between science and fancified-spirituality
"If a temple brings violence and disharmony to the world, it's a broken temple. What do you need it for?" - Perfect question for current situation in India.
😄 how fascinating to see a different reaction of responses to Mr Hurari. Its a bit of an old vid so I'm guessing either most of the ppl commenting went in with an open mind and no filter . Whats the filter ? Why guilty by association of course, mr hurari is a key figure with the World economic forum lobby group
Except for the fact that japan is not really a peaceful nation. The only real reason why japan hasn't gone on so many wars throughout the decades is because of the peace clause in their constitution that forbids them from doing so. That's why.
So much advertisement, just so distracting ! Please know when to use it and when not to....it takes away from this great speaker :( thank you Mr Harari !
India is a jigsaw puzzle of religion, castes, creeds, castes within hundreds of caste, languages and what not. ! On top of it different states and their various cultural rituals. First we have to come together as Indian then Globalisation. Unfortunately we are still far away to be globalize. !
@@vishnusahani2822 If you like this gay that much...proceed as per your wish...what am I to stop you...do a 10 day Vipassana meditation course....you come to know for yourself what rubbish this fellow is talking ...
Upgrading humans from Homo Sapiens to Homo Deus seems to me to be superfluous. To believe science and technology is the key to higher thinking, higher men, Zarathustra the Godless, is to my mind, and probably to yours too, just another false religion.
When Harari speaks of Religion and Nationalism, He means, Semitic religions, which have one prophet one holy book, where as Sanatana Dharma, is the collective wisdom of the ages, which wished for Vasudaiva Kutumbakam....i.e. whole world is one family and welcomed other s and assimilated all religions.
