Yes... Original "GT106" canisters have been discontinued for about 20 years. Replacing the old valve with a Lindal/En417/screw valve is clearly the way to go. What's the point in keeping the original bell&legs ? They were useful when using an original canister. They serve no purpose on a screw canister. They only add unnecessary weight, and leaks concerns.
