I bagged a new 24 in 2020. Probably one of the last new G24's left to be had. 6" barrel versus the 5.31" on the 35, It's fun to own a unicorn. My son covets it and I told him that he will inherit it one day. I then acquired a G35 MOS gen 4, and put a Storm Lake ported barrel on it. Smooth shooter. The 35 was born out of competition shooting restrictions placed on the 24 due to length, simply put. I found it interesting that the 35 is similar in size to a basic 1911.
