I own both models and carry both models off duty in my rotation. I prefer the 48 for the accuracy, but the 43X for easier concealment from a seated position.
I work Security! I Love Both fire Arms However I carry the 43 because it’s much easier to conceal.. I qualified with Both the 43 and My Sig 226!! My 43 i use as My Backup..
I bought the 48 and then bought a 43x slide . Normally end up carrying the 43x . I do prefer the impulse of the 48 but differences are negligible until I get out past 20 yards
Awesome review and the presenter has a very smooth presentation of the firearms, especially when manipulating the slides. That G48 may be next on my purchase list.
I actually bought a micro dagger. I prefer it over my 43x. It’s mostly a metal thing. I’m not a Glock fan. That’s mostly because so many Glock guys are so stupid about them. The it’s the best and only great gun stuff.. ugh I opted not to get dagger mags. Something about the metal and plastic. I had shield arms mags for the 43x anyhow. But would still go shield arms if I didn’t have them already.
Try the dagger micro. Same gun. Just much cheaper. I like my dagger better. Ive got enough rounds through it and trust it. So I’m gonna sell the 43x. I like the dagger grip angle better.
I know this vid is now over a year old but I just bought a G48 MOS. Love it. I’m not one to mod guns so, with the exception of adding a red dot, I’m keeping it stock.
I own the 43x but I’m kinda thinking I want the 48 also. The 43x looks stupid lol I like it I carry it but it’s looks like why the 48 will be my next I hate the glock 19 cause it’s a brick in my hand but the 48 and the 43x are game changers for me when it comes to glock.
Your video was plain and simple, easy to understand, all I want it to do is shoot,I know Glock is very very reliable,I carry the 48 which is easier to shoot, less recoil ,than my 43 or 43x,the key statement that you said about longer barrel on 48 is more accurate for a person who is not going to shoot 10 billion rounds is correct I am 82 years old and understand that. Thanks ,
G 19 more muscle, more round ,more accurate in distance. Don’t see much difference when carry 43x ,48 or 19 .Humble opinion. I keep it simple also . Great video ty
I just got the G48 MOS last week. I hate the grip/recoil on this Glock more than any other. I have order several upgrades for this and once they all get in I will upgrade. I should have rented before I purchased but didn't have the funds to rent and shoot at the moment and I really needed a smaller gun to protect myself when I am out on the road working.
Also i would like to add that the 43x is better for people with Smaller than average hands. The thinner grip allows for a much easier purchase of the controls. So for women, rent both and see which you like more!
@@shuumai That may be a problem some places of course. I have a 948 Beretta that has two barrels, long 6" and short 4", both carrying matching serials number to the frame. Came from the factory that way :)
@@shuumai I have no idea how it might work. I know several shotguns come with multiple barrel sets. Of course that's with one serialized receiver which is the required part for a SN. My Beretta semi-auto shotguns only have a SN on the receiver that's recorded. The barrels are not serialized. My Beretta O/U shotgun barrels are hand fitted and have the same SN as the receiver. Glock chooses to serialize all 3 parts. I am not certain if the same SN could be used if the pieces are sold as a package deal. The frame is what is required to be serialized here. Maybe why they SN all 3 is because of requirements elsewhere.
Depends on body shape and clothing choice. 19 is the obvious better “gun” but not for all situations. Not ideal for true concealed carry. The shield mag is also not a 100% reliable mag either, I don’t care what they say, so I stick with the 10 rounder and just carry the second In my pocket 😂. Or you could get a mag holster. I understand where you are coming from though. In the winter in NM I can get away with carrying a 19, even my 20 before. But in the summer when it’s just shorts and t shirt. Either48/43x
Can’t say I notice a difference shooting the 43x or any other gun. When it’s fully loaded or the last few rounds. I don’t see the few extra rounds the 43x has. Making a difference in recoil. Now had you said the longer grip makes it easier to hold and manage recoil. I’d agree. Getting my pinky on the grip does help. Also talking about the other safeties. Doesn’t beat the argument of no frame safety. People who complain about no safety. No there are safeties. They want a frame mounted safety. I’d assume you should know that.
I think I have that same G-Shock watch lol. I think the slides and barrels are interchangeable between the 2 models? So you could buy a 43x and a 48 barrel/slide and put it on the 43x. Not sure there is any huge advantage to that but I thought about trying it. Also I bought 3 Shield Arms magazines and their mag release. Initially I had a lot of failures - mostly all FTF's. However I noticed that was on the same box of ammo. I've since tried several other different types of ammo and haven't had a failure yet. I might head to the range here in a bit to test some more, so I probably just doomed myself. :)
Isn't the 43 better than the x with just a magazine with a molded bottom...? One could carry the smaller mag in holster, and have an extra stick for reload, as the footprint of the magazine is quite nothing
In this video she also mentioned the shield still magazines could fit in I met someone at a shooting range that did that they had to spend extra money to get some kind of adapter to go into the squat 48 the problem is you can't use the original magazines anymore you have to stay with the steel ones I think it's just the gimmick and a waste of time otherwise clock would have came out with a 15 shot I always found leaf well enough alone once you fool around replacing things with a Glock GLOCK won't cover the warranty anymore
Sorry to be an a-hole but I had a little bit of a hard time reading your comment. It's 'steel' not 'still' and 'leave' not 'leaf'. Also that's one hell of a run on sentence. Anyway I know I'm being a jerk but I had to stop and try to figure out what you were trying to say. Having said all that I am testing the Shield Arm magazines. When I first got them I started getting a lot of FTF's malfunctions but I noticed that was on the same box of ammo. I've since put a few hundred rounds through of other types of ammo without a single malfunction so far. Think I'm going to go to the range again here in a bit to test some more so I probably doomed myself.
@@TheMikeharris7 "gramma" police commentary aside, it's been 4 months, any updates from either of you fellers? Looking to get g45 and g43x for EDC needs, plan was to run em both completely bone stock, since they would be last resort pieces.. so yeah, let me know.
Take the 43x and put an extended rear sight in it and hang Streamlight TLR-6 light on the front for weight or a DPM recoil system on it and you’ll almost cancel the differences it has with the 48. If you own one of the 80% of accurately molded pistols you can switch to S15 15 round mags. Sadly about 20% of the 43x/48 pistols aren’t reliable with the S15s because the molded mag wells are slightly mis-shapened.
One has a barrel that is shorter than the grip, so is imbalanced and has a shorter sight radius, thus doesn't shoot as well and isn't any more concealable than the other.
@oscara5041 I believe that's only the sig p320 models. That being said, I don't think there's a more reliable gun than a glock so I would pick the glock
Correct. The 320 had a drop discharge issue that was corrected and another issue with it going off un-commanded although there many different individual accounts that only maybe one was substantiated. Others have details that could lead one to believe they are negligent. However enough reports have caused entire departments to stop using them. The 365 series is perfectly safe though. I carry Macro appendix and super pleased with the thin profile and high capacity. Shoots pretty darned accurate and flat.
The 43X from when I shot it I can say. Man, That thing is snappy. I have big strong hands and even for me. That thing is really snappy so you definitely need to get some good training in with it.
@@jacobpetersen5662 You must have the strongest hands in the world. No way any regular person would say the recoil of a micro 9 is Soft. That's one of their few drawbacks. Honest Outlaw even talks about that in his video.
@@theflypilot HAHA! Ironically, .40is my main HD Handgun. I shoot it alot. I've gotten more accustomed to the 43X the more I've shot it but, Yes. Its definitely snappy for the size that it is. I guess thats to be expected but yeah. Its not a problem at all.
I prefer 147 grain jacketed hollow point buffalo bore it's a little spicy but it gets the job done both guns are like a Honda Civic ugly as hell but they run just about anything

Glock 48 much better than the 48x it's about an inch longer it's actually the same size as the Glock 19 except it's probably around 4 or 5 oz lighter this gun's about 26 oz the Glock 26 Gen 5 is about an inch and a half to 2 in shorter but it weighs more weighs about 27 oz so I would suggest check check it out if you could find one these guns sell very fast glucks been around a long time they keep coming out with no ones and better ones your life depends on them don't waste your time and money with the other handguns that are out there that don't do anything for you 🇦🇹💯👍
I think the 43 Built diff the only Glock thas Built Perfectly the handle is not too small or fat, barrell is not long and ugly like 22lrs🤮🤢, its perfectly chubby and not too big its in the middle plus aims better and feels perfect in hands and recoil is perfect plus its still more aggressive than the 40 cal jus not 50 😢
Hi, I have 2 glock 22 gen 3 I conceal carry IWB and are my home defense guns. I use 180 federal tactical law enforcement HST and 180 Speergolddot ammo as my primary. I switch it up. I've rented an AR-15 and shotgun at the range to try but didn't care to much for them. Is glock 22 .40S&W good enough for self defense and home defense? Do I need an AR-15?
I Love Glocks as well However I Hate the Stock Sights!! They are terrible! It’s a pain to buy a New Glock and have to spend an other 160-180 for Trijicons HD Night sights! Very important for a CC gun!!Also the Trijicons give you a longer sight radius..
I would fall Vitim ti the safety Nancies if RU-vid lol. Aslong as you know its a safe gune it doesn't matter if we see thats its safe its not like we can get shot through the tv screen if you point it at the camera.😂
Why does a viewer in a remote location, five months later, care if she's "working with a safe and clear firearm?" Every gun presentation of YT does this. It's silly. If I was in some sort of audience or staff standing nearby when this was actually being made, THEN it'd be relevant. Otherwise, just proceed with the substance.
