I gave away my Shield mags and now use the PSA 15 rounders. I still had malfunctions with the Shield mags so I put the stock mag release back in with the PSA mags and no issues after about 800+ rounds.
Damn, those sights look like a plane could fly into them at any second. I recently had a similar issue with Truglo's. Sometimes buying things from the internet is just great.
Cool video & good stuff for the viewers just a few tips I do suggest whatever you use to tighter the light up with you put some painters tape on it (Whether it be a coin or screwdriver ) As well as putting the painters tape on the slide if you put it in the Pusher or Vice , just a little piece helps a bunch to avoid unwanted nicks or scratches .Another thing is if your Red Dot mounts directly to the slide you probably won't need suppressor height sights
That is good feedback. The only issue I’m gonna have is the diameter of my suppressor actually needs suppressor heights sites on most of my pistols now because of “can” diameter not because of red dots.
those sights are for the RMRcc on the FCD plate to sit lower 1/3. They're tall, but they work great for that. Other sights sit too low with that config.
Got the 43x today and they sold me the wrong flashlight 😂 gotta go get the sub tomorrow. Can't wait to edc it, waiting for my teir 1 concealment appendix holster still also.
I've used a coin to install it, but this light comes with a tool if you don't want to use a coin. It's a small tool in a separate plastic bag, as part of the package.
Do you like sights that tall? I run the lower 1/3 height from night fision and even with the holosun 507k with the adapter plate I can still cowitness. Nice work tho, I retired my 365xl for the 43x with S15 mags as well. No issues on the mags and I'm at 1500 plus rounds now .
Which night fision do you have? I got my 43x before they made an MOS or even had picatinny up front. I'm going to get my slide milled to fit a holosun 507 and taller sights, but I want lower 1/3. I run a gemtech lunar 9, and I don't really care if the irons see over the suppressor. As long as the red dot sees over the suppressor, I'm good. Also, which adapter plate are you using? Since I'm having mine milled, I think I should be able to mount directly to the slide, as long as the right screw is a little shorter so that it doesn't interfere with the extractor. I might end up needing to use an adapter plate (forgot what manufacturer makes the plate) if the dot is obscured by the suppressor. Did your plate bring the red dot up much? Or was it negligible? Is it just the glock MOS plate?
@@GunsmithBeard Put the stock plastics back on man. Cheap, easily replaceable, perfect 1/4 cowitness with the defender and personally I think the rear goal post is helpful in finding the dot quickly under stress. Assuming you slaved the dot like I did. Not sure how much that would matter on a longer distance zero.
I do think it’s 1 million times better than the Glock 43, it makes more sense! But it all depends on the person and their needs and what fits the best.
Dang brother…… Swampfox supports your channel and you advertise a VORTEX DEFENDER and not Swampfox Sentinel? It fits directly on the glock 43x with no plate needed and you can co witness with factory height sights, I never was a fan of them tall sights on a pistol that small
Question guys, never messed with aftermarket sights, but was thinking of upgrading a few guns I have. Do all the rear sights slide off like that on most guns??
You’re making a huge mistake putting that mag in there even if you got the steel mag release. You’re going to ruin that gun. The vortex is a good choice though. Excellent customer service.
These magazines have a strong love hate relationship with Glock owners. It’s funny how SIG owners jumped on the P365 series and they run steel max in a polymer frame with a steel slide, zero issues. And to be honest, there’s a lot of guns running steel mags and polymer frames like CZ firearms, FN, Springfield, Smith & Wesson… the list goes on and on. In all fairness, I think Glock should’ve always had steel mags instead of polymer mags.
