I have both. Love them both. I have the G43 also. With owning all 3 and shooting all 3, you can't go wrong with any choice. I lean towards the sig, however, just simply bc it fits in my pocket easier. These are simply amazing guns

Half the people say that they are reliable and the other half say that they are unreliable, not a risk I’m willing to take on my concealed carry weapon especially considering how much of a hassle it is to buy them since they are never in stock unfortunately, I’m running stock until the reviews start coming out about the Palmetto 15 round, I’m really hoping they are reliable

Bought the p365 right after Christmas. Wanted to wait for all the bugs to get fixed. Hickok45 bought 2 for Christmas so I guess it was safe. Within a week or so I find out about the 43x. I panicked. But now I see the specs. I want to carry with the smallest pistol with most amount of rounds without changing the configuration from the manufacturer. Grip length is identical to my g19. So if I wanted to carry the 43x I would just carry the g19 and have 5 extra rounds. People will say yeah but you get better control with the longer grip. Fine. I bought the p365 12 round mag. It seems to be no longer than the g43x and I have 2 extra rounds. And I have to tell you, that trigger on the p365 is pretty spot on coming straight from the factory. Better than the glocks factory trigger in my opinion of course. So I am actually saving money with p365. I dont have to get a trigger job and I dont have to get nite sights for the p365. So actually the p365 is less expensive to own. To me the g43x and g48 falls in the area that I am not interested in. I really dont see any reason to own the 43x or g48 unless you live in an ammo restricted area. Great video by the way. You did good.

@GrayGhostDog1
@GrayGhostDog1 5 лет назад
Fair assessment, but I have to say that you don't have to do any trigger mods to a Glock if don't want to... IMHO, it's not necessary and especially not on Gen 5 iterations. G43X can be had with 2 different night sights available from the factory. I prefer to EDC a flush-fitting magazine, so the P365 12-rounder would be utilized off my body for backup... 12-rounder has a slight little play when inserted into the P365, but it is very well done. I think I could add the G43X into a carry rotation... G43X : late-Fall/Winter/early-Spring... P365: late-Spring/Summer/early-Fall...
@uga83joe
@uga83joe 5 лет назад
@@GrayGhostDog1 I agree with your opinion for the trigger job on the Glock. But some still say hey it needs to be lighted up a bit. With normal range time a few dry fires the trigger does smooth out and does lighted up a tad bit. But those polymer sights I have to change out. And that is easily another 70 bucks added to the glock. I get mine installed at Glock Inc here in Smyrna Ga. They will add it on and fire two rounds to make sure the sights are aligned and they will do a once over on pistol. They are only 30m from me. My gen5 g19 and g26 had the nite sights installed and Glock went ahead and replaced both slide lock springs or something right then and there. Evidently they were having some kind of issues with the Gen5 slide lock or spring. My p365 when I do decide to CCW it I will carry with the flat base plate and will have the 12 round mag handy. Center console and such. Maybe in my pocket I just dont know yet. But with the 12 round mag it is still shorter in length grip then the 43x with the 10 round mags. By quarter inch.
@uga83joe
@uga83joe 5 лет назад
Jay T. OMG that play in the 12 rounder! I am so glad you mentioned that. I have 3 12 round mags and all three has that play. It functions fine but that play....I will insert the mag and grip the pistol and the first thing I feel is that stupid play. Hopefully I'll get used to it...HaHa!

This channel is awesome. Great, topical, and informative videos. You don’t have to fast forward through two minutes of chatter and promotions, it’s just the facts. The one thing I wish y’all did was live-fire impressions. Table top reviews are great for dimensions and comparisons, but it’s hard to know how you’ll like a gun until you shoot it. I’d love to see the straight-forward approach you use in a tabletop review in a live fire video.

I love my g43x. My first gun purchase, so I wouldn’t really consider myself a “glock guy”. That being said, the 365 was my next choice. I tried them both out at the range and really liked the glock over the sig, due to; the grouping on the target, the feel of it in my hand, and for me, the trigger pull. I am by no means a gun expert, and I’m sure it was not the best assessment of a firearm, yet ultimately decided my purchase. When it come down to it, it’s really all about personal preference! I was a Mod2 series and CZ fan, yesterday I got to choose between P365 and the G43X- P365: Mag release seems hard to engage and need to adjust thumb(for a very small gun) Glock43X: much more flush and has a good purchase on the grip. No brainer. I picked the Glock43X, you pay $100 less so you have that option to upgrade the sights with your savings. The Glock just feels better and I’m not a fan of other glocks.
@CavemanCulinary
@CavemanCulinary 2 года назад
I’m a Sig guy and I just went through this choice this past week. Believe it or not, I bought the Glock. Reason for me was that the Sig was just a little too small and the ergonomics of the Glock just felt better. Sig needs another option in sub compact that is between the small conceal and the compact.

I think Glock's rigid adherence to their tradition of polymer cladding their magazines is hurting them in this case. It worked fine in the case of a 9mm or 40 service pistol, but if you're aiming for concealability, an all steel magazine can be more space efficient.

I purchased my Sig p365 in late December for $500. I have over 2k rounds through it. Not one problem. You get so much more for your money with the Sig. The sights are better, the capacity is better for it's size, the grips are better and you get a rail. Sorry. But the 365 is just a better weapon and deal. I use the Mantis System at home. That rail comes in handy. My wife didn't get why I wanted the p365. Until I purchased it then held my EDC next to the p365 and turned off the lights. The 365 sights were the only sights you could see. Not to mention it's much more comfortable to carry. IMO the 365 is the best EDC.

Good video and tabletop review. I just bought the P365 because for the most part I have to carry deep concealed. My EDC was a Ruger LCP2, for that reason. The P365 is really not much larger than the LCP2, but you get 10+1 vs. 6+1 in a similar sized package, PLUS it is 9mm Luger vs. .380 ACP. Big difference there. I have never really been that impressed by the Glock offerings, but I prefer real sights vs. plastic sights, and standard night sights is a definite plus in my opinion. I can't wait to get to the range to "break-in" the P365. I do like the trigger safety on the glock, but I think overall I will be very happy with my purchase. Oh yes, I also prefer the more aggressive grip texture on the P365. The Glock feels too smooth to me and would require a grip enhancement for me to be comfortable with it.
@randomguy5284
@randomguy5284 5 лет назад
I think the p365 is in a different category compared to the 43x. The p365 is more of a micro compact that can hold 10+1, 9mm which is impressive. The 43x is more in the same category as the Shield, Walther PPS, Springfield XDS, and Glock 26. Which this market has been done 10 years ago. You can't compare the p365 and 43x just because it holds 10+1. I don't know why people keep posting these videos comparing the two. They're not the same.

@@jakemartin828 yes, I know the glock 26 is a true double stack and the 43x is a single stack. If you want to get technical, the p365 is a one and a half stack. That is how they fit 10 in that small mag, the same size mag as the 43, which you said the 43 is a "single stack". I wanted to be a Glock Guy, so I purchased the 48 which came with Ameriglo night sights stock. Loved the look and the grip when holding it. Loved the simplicity and reliable pedigree. However, at the range I wasn’t fond of the squishy Glock trigger and control felt just “okay”. For concealment it was a little uncomfortable in my opinion, being six feet, 200 lbs. So I felt there was something else that could quench my thirst. I looked into the very well know P365 and the majority of the reviews seemed to favor the micro compact Sig. Went back to the range today and shot the 48 again, it felt better but wasn’t greasing my pole the way I wanted. Went outside to the case a couple times to feel the P365 and finally bought it. Instantly I started grouping tighter and control was just what I wanted. All in a smaller package and for less $$$. I wanted to be a Glock Guy, I really did. Maybe I didn’t give the 48 the chance it deserved but my vote goes with the Sig 365 hands down. Smaller package, better trigger, better stock sights, better grip, better price. Change my mind.

I own a G-43X and LOVE IT. Great feel and shootability. Its a GREAT CCW as well for IWB carry. With the newer SHIELD ARMS magazine for the 43X, I now can carry FIFTEEN ( 15 ) rounds in a flush mount mag. THAT is a GAME CHANGER. Shield is making these 15 rd mags as fast as they can and still can't keep up with demand. They also make a 20 round mag ( 5 round extension ) for the 43X as well Perfect for your spare. I have BOTH a Lasermax Internal Guide Rod Green Laser on it AND a Holosun 507K red dot optic ( Hey TWO IS BETTER THAN ONE !!! ). So I have night sights, laser sights, and red dot all on a 15 rd flush mount, VERY concealable 9mm pistol with GLOCK RELIABILITY. NICE !!! but But BUT I can't hide that pistol in my pocket and certainly, some situations dictate just that. a Pocket Pistol. For that purpose I've been using a Ruger LCP II with a Lasermax Green trigger guard laser with Grip Sense. Purrrrrfect little mouse gun in .380 caliber. VERY lethal with 7 rounds and shoot from the hip capability. I rate that pistol, that setup, as PERFECT in that caliber, size, shootability. Its a bit snappy but NOT bad at all and with a bit of range practice, VERY controllable, especially keeping in mind its going to be fired from less that 10 yards away and with the laser, its a tack driver. but But BUT, I've given up 9mm stopping power and 15 round capacity all for SIZE. Not anymore. The Sig P-365 is a true pocket gun !!! Its also a great IWB or OWB micro-compact pistol. The new SIG Tac-Pac comes thru with THREE 12 round mags which fill my large hands just perfectly and SIG sells a 15 round extended mag for a spare mag. The P-365 also comes thru with a rail which will accept a picatinny slide-over ( Recover Tactical on Amazon ) and that allows for lasers, lights, coffee maker, toaster oven, and laser light combos. So now I own both pistols and although very similar, the P-365's smaller size and "pocketability" makes a welcome addition to the herd. It's a GAME CHANGER for CERTAIN. Side Note >>> ALL the original firing pin bugs have been fully worked out. Changed the composition of the metals, made then less brittle, problem resolved.

I am a Glock fan now... because I was a Sig fan first. I owned a P229R that I bought in 2006, and within the first 2 years, the extractor broke. People chalked it up to Sig having metallurgy issues at the time, but I stopped carrying it and switched to a Springfield XD-M. Then I bought a Sig 556xi, which is a gas piston variant of the AR platform. It worked alright, but was not very reliable, and in the time that I owned it (years), they never released the promised caliber conversion kits for it. Then the P320 came along, and I thought, finally, that Sig had brought out a decent striker-fired designed. It turned out to not be drop safe, and Sig knew about it all along, because they repaired the issue in M17 before shipping to the military. Even when confronted on the issue, Sig says that it is not the fault of their trigger design, and they offer a "free, voluntary trigger upgrade" to avoid admitting that they needed to recall the gun. A major police department in my area forced all of the officers who carried the P320 to get the voluntary upgrade, including having Sig themselves come and do the updates on site. Of course, next comes the P365, which had a documented history of sheering of the tip of its own striker due to another faulty design. Why anyone who give their money to a crappy corporation that is more concerned with giving out unreliable guns in a cash grab than producing a quality product is beyond me. All I know is this: in all the time that i have carried and used firearms professionally, no one I have come across has ever had to retire a Glock due to a reliability issue. You are free to buy and carry whatever gun you want, but if my life depends on it, it's going to be a Glock.

I own the p365 and I love it. I really do think the 43x is a great gun and I'm probably going to buy one just to have. But for anyone who's on the fence between picking one verse the other and making their decision on the reviews that pertain to the grip, keep in mind, the p365 and p365XL (longer grip and slide model) are interchangeable. I always felt the standard p365 handle was too short but I ordered the XL lower and swapped it out, it made a massive difference in length which can help people avoid purchasing pinky extensions for their mags. In my opinion the p365 with the XL lower puts it above the glock 43X overall. I think the p365 is more comfortable to holster and better fit for concealment. The trigger on p365 out of the box is far superior. However, I do think the mag release on the glocks are quicker and smoother than the sigs.

I got my wife the 365. She loves it. I have the Glock 26. It conceals great. I was hoping the 43 x would be closer to the sig in size. I'll just stick with my 26.

Those dimensional differences seem small on paper, but when you conceal carry them you really feel the difference. It's called a 365 for a reason, you can and will carry it because it's so easy you hardly notice it.

Glock should have came out with a 24-7 and redesign their magazine to compete with Sig they drop the ball once again. I actually thought that Glock would come out with the same type of staggered magazine... but they didn't. I'll stick with my glock 42 with the extended magazine that gives me 8 + 1
@stoneageidaho
@stoneageidaho 5 лет назад
@@gemboy4307ful apparently getting 10 rounds in a magazine that small is harder than it seems. I believe sig patented their design. Hopefully other gun makers can do something similar, competition is a good thing. I've owned most of the little guns and really love the p365.

The only problem with sigs magic mag is it costs 40-50$ per mag, that's a huge problem for me, and easily makes up for the cost difference between the glock and the sig for me. I'd love to own a 365, but I'd probably carry a 43x more often, I love a full grip
@stoneageidaho
@stoneageidaho 5 лет назад
@@hylianknight3 I paid $46.89 for an extra 12 Rd mag. It certainly hurt a bit, considering a Glock 33 Rd mag is less. But, it's a metal mag that gives you 12+1 in a pocket pistol, nothing else does that. The grip feels fantastic and comfortable. That's why commotion is good, if someone else pulls is off then prices should fall

I own both of these pistols, and until yesterday was a long time G43 owner as well. I like them both and think they each fill a different niche. I think for IWB carry, it’s a toss up but I give the nod to the Glock because the full grip allows for an easier draw. I don’t really think the extra grip length is much of a factor for me, but time will tell , I may change my mind after having more carry time with each. I think where the Sig advantage will really shine will be for pocket carry. I prefer IWB, but did successfully pocket carry the G43 quite a bit. I will now use the 365 for that role when needed. I admit I am unapologetically a Glock “fan boy”, but I have no problem trying other platforms as well, and this Sig May indeed be a winner, if it continues to be reliable and doesn’t break.

Interesting review. I best keep my g43 with a hyve+1 mag extension for edc. I like the balanced weight, concealment and grip comfort better than the 365 or 43x. As for ammo count, if 7+1 rounds is not enough practice more gun control, i.e. target acquisition, accuracy, and shooter discipline. After all 2 more rounds is not needed if the first round counts. Keep practicing & Happy Shooting...friends _Gun Fan Boy

I am a glock fan, I have several. The 23, 43, 17, and the 21. That being said, the 365 is just better than the 43 in every way. The 43x is just a longer grip and with that length I would just carry my 23 and have more rounds and a larger caliber. The sig is hands down my favorite conceal carry

Jacob Ceparano I suppose you could if you wanted to buy another magazine after the purchase of the gun. My 365 though has a capacity of 13 in a MUCH smaller footprint. It’s a trade off but if your goal is concealment then the 365 is still ahead.

Excellent video on the Glock 43x and the Sig p365 I say to try both of them out they're both good guns I know Sig made some changes the new ones out opposed to be excellent so is the new Glock the 43x has the same magazines as the Glock 48 so you have 10 shots it's just the barrels and then shorter but that's up to you 💯👍

I feel the same and the way I fixed that is to always use the +1 base plate on the G43 and the +2 on the G26. Some other guns only provide the extra bit of grip and tail to the grip without the extra round, but they all make drawing your weapon twice as easy. I keep the flat base plate in my pocket for back up.

On August 23, 2019 I went to a gun store in Brea California to check out the Sig 365. The clerk assured me without even asking, the problems in the current guns are not subject to the issues suffered by the earlier models. He pointed out that this particular gun was manufactured in June 2019 well after the problems had been sorted out. The clerk told me the trigger was very soft as compared to a Glock. He invited me to dry fire the gun which I did, one time. It was so light that it actually caused me some concern for a carry gun. But I never fired again because the slide seized up solid, immovable. The clerk tried to force the slide open manually but couldn’t do it. I asked him what happened he said “it must be defective.” I realize this is an anecdotal story, one gun out of thousands but no matter how cool it is there’s no way I’m gonna be able able to trust my life with the 365 until Sig gets a handle on its issues. I know they say it has a .008 failure rate, but that doesn’t mean much if it fails when you need it.

I got it as a trade in for my OG Smith and Wesson M&P Shield and a Gen 1 Diamondback DB9 and paid $130. Late reply, but for others: Most of the safety mechanisms, in both guns, are internal. But the Glock has one additional safety, which is a lever built into the trigger (you can see it depresses when you put a finger on the trigger). There's no manual safety switch on either gun.

I have owned Glocks and Sigs both for years. I love my p365. You can't go wrong with either. I hate seeing fan boys that say Glocks are good and Sigs junk, and vice versa. They are both good makers and probably two of the best handgun makers on the planet, along with H&K. So try em out and get what fits your hands and liking the best. Nothing wrong with listening to opinions but if you make a decision without doing your due diligence then you are pretty foolish. With that being said, I carry my Sig p365 every day. It is ultra concealable and actually the most comfortable CC pistol I have ever carried. Mine was born April 11, 2021 and has no primer drag problems with the firing pin that the earlier models had.

@nevek46
@nevek46 4 года назад
Now that it's over 1 yr since you made this comparison, have you revisited each gun to see if you still have the same opinion? I am leaning towards the Sig P365 (or possibly P365XL) because of how it feels in my hand and the larger capacity mags. At this point I have not had the opportunity to shoot any of the models I'm looking at and can only go on how they fit/feel in my hand. I've watched SO MANY video reviews of various guns, and the more current reviews are giving very high marks to the Sig P365 and seem to be saying the original issues are no longer valid. What are your feelings regarding the current status of the P365 and whether or not Sig has fixed the reliability issues from a few years ago? The guns I'm currently considering are: Sig Sauer P365 Sig Sauer P365XL Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 2.0 Glock 43 Glock 43X Taurus G2C Taurus G3C I grew up w/ a cop for a father, so I have always felt very comfortable around guns, and never had any issues w/ shooting guns that had a lot of kick, so I don't think recoil will be a huge deciding factor. However, I have not shot anything for probably 25-30yrs. Looking for something very easily concealed, comfortable for a fatter guy to hide/carry (a point few reviewers seem to cover), and something that I can have some fun occasionally range shooting but competent/reliable if I ever find myself in the unfortunate circumstance of needing to protect myself. Your tho'ts/suggestions??

I’m not no Glock hater at all I own more Glocks than sigs I only own one sig and the P365 is it and I didn’t want to like it vs Glock 43 but it’s just better idc what people say mine has functioned flawless out the box with factory oil on it. It’s smaller which is absolutely crazy especially especially since it’s even double stack clips in it. So small I couldn’t carry and put my life on the line with it so I had to shoot it and it’s very very nice. The trigger is better handles well and has better factory sights being even night sights that’s really good. It’s the king of concealing with capacity and micro compact. Feels better in hand also. The only edge I give Glock is that it shoots much faster but not where it matters to me. But anyways I’m all in on the P365 over Glock 43x 43 and 42. Just way more pricey when it comes to spare clips it gets ridiculous!

With the 43 you have the ability to carry a shorter grip if you need to with the standard mags or go almost as long as the 43x with a mag extension. With the 43x you are static at 10 rounds. Thoughts? I'm on the market for one of them. Many thanks!
