The point is... Glock gave all the 19 shooters a huge gift by building this pistol... To those interested in really learning how to shoot a pistol with excellent trigger control..this pistol can't be beat..It's light weight accentuates everything you do wrong pulling the trigger..I find my example of this weapon of excellent quality..reliability and superb accuracy..
@@Beerbellybo his point is, this is a training tool. Unless you have unlimited resources this allows you to have basically unlimited trigger time with a gun that is identical to the Glock 19 (other than weight). If you carry sig the sig version would be better. However that fun isn’t a direct replica of the big boy versions.
And here we are 2 years later, 18 and 25 round magazines available, like most Glocks, upgrades and accessories to tweak it to the particular users likes and needs. Unlike other manufacturers, Glock works constantly and with very little failure from the gun itself. Glocks famous for going bang... Everytime in all conditions. That's the "perfection" we love about Glock. While I love ALL guns that go pew pew . Glock will always reign supreme.
My G44 has been flawless for me. People complain about issues, but I've shot three of them and had no malfunctions which is insane for a 22. I love mine.
I'm almost sure this was designed for Europe, not the US. The 10 round mag (most 22 competition shooting is done with 5 or 6 rounds loaded), the optional metric threaded barrel (suppressors are illegal in several eu countries), the fact it doesn't like bulk ammo (which we seldom use in Europe), the pricing which is spot on compared to other 22's in Europe, it is manufactured in Austria for the Euro market, and the fact that most countries force you to shoot 22 for a while before being allowed larger calibers (thus making it an "entry" into Glock shooting...chances are you will buy a Glock 17, 19 or 34 when you are allowed to shoot 9mm).
I CC a Sig P365. I would not carry my Glock 44 for personal defense, but it is my go-to gun right now for range shooting. I'm guarding my 9mm ammo like gold, but feel just fine burning through 100 rounds of .22lr. It's also an excellent gun for teaching children (I have 2) how to shoot. My daughter won't even try shooting my 9mm at the moment, but has no problem with a .22lr. BTW, my Glock has had no failures-to-feed. I have had 2 failures-to-fire, but it was ammo related. The shell casings had clear firing pin marks on the rim. I replaced the sights with Ameriglo sights and attached a Streamlight TLR-7 just for fun. It is one fun gun.
Before the election on November I had amazed a lot of .22 mags and ammo. My 9mm sat while the 44 was at the range and being trained with. It’s my trainer for my CC firearm. Works well and it’s reliable with 36-40 grain bullets. The promag 18 round mags surprisingly work great in the 2 I have.
I think it all comes down to ammo cost and availability..I have had fun last year being able to get 1000 rounds of Minimags and having it as an option for self defense..Good video!
it has ONE purpose its a trainer gun pure and simple its a exact copy of the glock 19, its a fantastic tool for training even more so now 9mm is $1 a round, and a great gun for small animals, people jist need to realize its a .22lr pistol and it wont run like a normal glock it needs to be cleaned every couple hundred rounds with a bore snake, and if you use aftermarket mags you have to load the mags carefully because its rimefire ammo
Glock should have made a smaller version of the 42 in 22lr they would have sold a TON everyone that owns a glock would have bought one for a micro pocket pistol or just as a novelty item for fun ...
Rule #1 Read! The Owners Manual pages 12 and 26. Clean and Lubricate before you fire the first round. Then clean and lubricate after every 100 rounds. .22 rimfire ammunition leaves a lot of fouling material. Read the manual and don't complain about poor performance. Take special care loading the magazines. That threaded barrel is silly 👎
Conceal carry?......Hell NO! Its great range toy that's it. If you are going to carry a 22lr, carry an 8-10 revolver or a semi with more than 10 round. Walther PPQ-22 hold 12+1 the Taurus tx22 holds 16+1, the kel-tec p17 holds 16+1, the Baretta M9 22 holds 15+1 just to mention a few and these are cheaper and come with threaded barrels
