Glock 81 Military:/"field" Knife - unboxing first impressions and comparisons 

Priced around $37-$40 now. I remember buying a black 78 and a tan 81 for about $27 each about 6-7 years ago. Nice to see they are still fairly priced.

I prefer the 78, I have two, and I will get more. For the price this knife is the best and quite underrated. I have stripped the coating on mine and sharpened the clip point. It's so light that you can barely feel it's there, but it's tough and if you lose it or forced to abandon it, it won't make a hole into your budget. Good video, stay sharp.

i have both knives also - you will not be disappointed - they are practically indestructible - they are a bargain at three times the price - the cap hides a bayonet mounting hole and the so called bottle opener is another mounting position for the bayonet mount - forget the price - that is meaningless - i dont know how they can make this quality at this price - this knife is actually current military issued to real soldiers

I believe these GLOCK KNIVES are made of 1055 Carbon "Spring tempered" steel at Rockwell 55 to 57 Hardness. Spring Temper to allow knife blade to flex rather than breaking.

I think the blade steel is 1060 mid carbon, I'm going to buy the black one to have as a combo with my Glock19.

Hello..some good friend wrote about 1055 carbon steel...a little mistake...because in wikipedia(glock 81 wikipedia) it is written SAE 1095 steel,which means 1095 carbon spring steel...thickness 5 milimetres and HRC 55..Have a good time🙂🖐️

Got the 81 and bent the tip very easily, and came blunt as a butter knife, nothing compared to kabars 1095 cro-van in my opinion.

You can beat this thing to def in the field.
