A quick comparison on the Glock performance trigger to an OEM polished Glock trigger. Both have dot connectors and both have roughly a 3.5lb trigger pull. Is it really worth the upgrade?
It depends what you're looking for out of a trigger. I personally don't like it but I know many who swear by the upgraded GPT. It will lighten and improve the break. Reset is weak and if you shoot a lot, the GTP requires more maintenance than the stock OEM trigger. The maintenance isn't that bad but it's just something to consider.
I switched it back out. A good polish on an OEM trigger has the same lb break. The reset feels funny like there's resistance on the slide when going back into battery. I didn't like it honestly. Not worth it imho. Some people like it. It wasn't for me.
Need help I purchased this Glock performance trigger for my Glock 26 Gen 5 and noticed when taking down my Glock the back plate will make contact with the metal piece that holds the firing pin is this normal
no it doesnt do it on my g17 but does on my g45. i bought a second one and it doesnt cycle through like it does with a stock trigger. if i press check the slide doesnt cycle back with a push .
They break pretty much exactly the same. The actual trigger pull is subjectivity better on the GPT but the reset is substantially worse. I personally think the Glock Performance Trigger isn't worth the price.
I see in the comments you don't see an improvement with the GPT. You didn't oil it in the video. Do you think it would help if you oiled it per the directions?
