Bought my Glock 17 Gen 2 in 1992 making this year it's 30th anniversary. Living in "Gun Friendly" Arizona; my G17 has been with me every day either concealed or on my hip. I shoot a lot and have put over 30,000 rounds down range over the years with this magnificent firearm, with only a handful of failures. It does not like Blazer Alloy case ammo... It fires it fine but the casings eject right into my forehead! LOL. I also have an Italian manufactured Beretta 92F that I purchased the day after seeing the movie Lethal Weapon back in 1987. I never carried this weapon much, as it is heavy and causes undo sweat and discomfort in the heat of AZ. The Beretta is the most beautiful sidearm in the world (in my humble opinion), and my beautiful example is in a custom glass case in my home office. Both sidearms are incredible, and I don't think you can go wrong with either. The only real difference in mine is weight and grip angle. Back in the day, Glock was very unique with it's laid-back grip angle, which for me is perfect. Sorry for the novel; but I am in love with both! Cheers
My dad bought his Glock17 gen 2 back in 1990 for around $589.99 after taxes & he still has it to this day. At the time he wasn't expecting much from a polymer pistol & he was quickly amazed by it & ended up being his favorite.
It’s unfortunate you weren’t able to carry your Beretta. I too believe it is one of the most beautiful handguns ever made and operates just as beautifully. I’m currently carrying a 92fs AIWB as I sit in my car typing this. I use a comfort concealment belt and often wear Nike jogging pants or basketball shorts and have been nothing but comfortable carrying my Beretta . I am a pretty large frame guy who dresses a bit baggy so concealment has been no issue for me. Sometimes with the way the gun fits my hand and I’m able to conceal it I feel as though it’s the perfect gun for me.
I would trust my life on either gun but personally I've always liked the Beretta. the feeling of metal in the hand feels good and I like the open top slide . plus they are so damn easy to field strip
I own Beretta 92FS Compact and Glock19 Gen3, I carry Glock19 to go out, but I will keeps touch and hold Beretta when I'm at home, Glock as a tool, Beretta as art.
@@cannabisconnoisseurchannel4887 its a kind of " I dont know where i am pointing to" problem,at least for me,thats why i prefer a Beretta 92fs!!!Salute!!!
@@cannabisconnoisseurchannel4887 Biggest problem and fear I have with polymer is limp wrist malfunction. Every polymer pistol have this but some have less some have more but glock suck in this. In self defense situation you shooting in weird angle with 1 hand or with lose grip, you will have it malfunction and you're dead. Seen many police body cam shootings where cops had their glocks malfunction in intense situations
Both are great guns and very dependable. However I pick the Beretta 92 due to my father and uncle training and teaching myself the basics of Handgun Handling with one, the ease of field stripping and cleaning one, and finally in my opinion "The Cool Factor" of one I.E. Lethal Weapon, Die Hard, The Resident Evil Games ETC. In general I like both Handguns equally but the 92 is King to me.
Unless ya live in NJ or another state that's anti-2A. All our mags are limited to 10 rounds. The mag limits are unconstitutional are hopefully will be overturned!
I bought a Beretta92FS back in 1998 & it was the so accurate out of the box then I sold it in 09 & bought a Glock19 then a few months ago I bought another Beretta92FS but it's not very accurate it hits about 10" low. Does anyone know what could be wrong?
@@megapumped7021 I already installed a Wilson Combat battle sight .290 height & now it hits dead on though it was a b-word to remove the factory rear sight it almost seemed like it was welded on. I'm just confused as to why the new one hit so low & the older one from the 1990s hit spot on. I asked the dealer I bought it from & he said a lot of people have complained about this too but didn't know what the cause was & suggested replacing the rear sight with a slightly taller one.
Weird question coming from a gamer xD.I have never touched a gun in my life but always wondered when i saw the characteristics of the two pistols in games. On most FPS games i have played, the beretta has slightly more recoil than the glock. Is this true in comparsion to real life from your experience?
@@Eternapalms i understand beretta has more internal parts making it theoretically "less reliable" , but if its maintained properly, do you think its as reliable as a glock? really i want the gun that will for sure shoot and not jam, and i know glocks renowned for that, but i figured if the beretta was properly cleaned and babied, wouldnt it run flawlessly too like a glock? im leaning towards beretta due to heavier weight so itll have less recoil, but reliabiilty is the most important factor to me.
@bobsnittle3793 if you want the most reliable pistol out there, I'd say get a CZ-75b. Overall though you can expect to shoot thousands of rounds through both beretta and glock without a malfunction. Beretta do need to be maintained more, and for maximum reliability use 124g ammo, as the recoil spring can sometimes need to be broken in on a new beretta and 115g ammo won't always cycle properly. You'll also need bigger hands for beretta. Glock is super reliable just rememeber to wathch out for limp writing, it REALLY affects glocks ability to cycle properly if you have a weak wrist. Girls tend to malfunction their glocks often for example. Hope I helped
@bobsnittle3793 The Beretta 92 and sig p266 are the two most reliable pistols on the market. Glock is not on the list. Glock is reliable but not the most reliable you can buy.
I have a Glock 17 and an m9 I like both of them but I use the Glock more it's easier take down it's lighter but the main reason is it's the cheaper one and I had to use it to qualify for a job so I can work with it. if the Russians come then I'll take the m9 as my side arm I probably like it a little better I just use the Glock more.
Maybe the frame will, but with the Beretta's locking block I'm not so sure. Maybe with the enhanced newer versions it wouldn't matter as much. Or if you replace recoil springs after certain round counts, both pistols may outlive any owner with normal use.
Nice video and review. Thank you. As Italian, and (did you guess?) Beretta owner, I'm proud of the quality and reliability of this wonderful gun. It shoots where you want and never fails. I'm in love with it. But I also own a Glock 17. Why? Because I recognize its value, and the superb quality of the materials and components. I also enjoy shooting with it and I trust it. IMO, at a short distance (5-8 meters) Glock is accurate as the Beretta, while it tends to be a bit too erratic after 16-18 meters. A bit, I said, and IMO. These two guns are both the expression of a very very high quality objects.
I had the Glock 17 for several years and hated shooting it. Tried the Beretta 92 FS and A1 last week-end and loved it. Guess i will go for the 92x performance.
My old man was a licensed firearm dealer in California back in the 70/80s before the republican president decided to put heavy restrictions in California because he hated the black panthers anyways long story short both are great guns I can’t just dog Glock but ! Glock hasn’t bin around long enough to have a reputation like beretta, glock came out in the 80s if I’m aware, they were a very big terrorism gun at the time cause they were easy to conceal and cause it’s made out of plastic so terrorists can get them thru planes.Comparing a 92FS and a Glock get ready cause I’m going to tell everyone ! A glock can’t compare to a 92FS mechanically cause one is being fired by a hammer and the Glock is being fired by a firing pin generally a cheaper part vs a hammer that is a 100 times more reliable.Glock also doesn’t have a safety witch is completely crazy for me to see the government allow it, yes I know it’s on the trigger but still ! Anyone can still fire it any child can grab it and fire it. Also possible they can fire being dropped on the ground. Do I hate Glock ? Ehh not really but they are all over the streets so they do make a good throw away 😂 you’ll never find a beretta in the hood for sale cause most of the smart gangsters no to keep it 😂 I feel like glocks are to pricey 600/700$ is to much for a plastic gun with no safety that uses a firing pin in my opinion. The only thing I like about my Glock 26 is that it’s super small and lightweight. A lot less then beretta . Now the beretta nano vs the Glock 26 is something you can definitely talk about ! Both are very similar.
Humm interesting debate. Oh wait, you can get the new Beretta APX A1 which is striker fired like a Glock but with a better trigger, better sights, better ergonomics, interchangeable chassis and do it for less money. Don't get me wrong love my Glocks BUT the new Beretta and a few other manufactures have surpassed Glocks "perfection". Yes, granted you can get any holster ever made for a Glock...but in my opinion that's the only advantage Glock has over the new Beretta and some of the other manufactures. I'd like Glock to come out with something "new" and by "new" that's not adding finger grooves, or no finger grooves, backstraps or colors.....New idea.
Me personally the only thing I don't like about any of the Beretta handgun models except for the latest Striker fire, is the exposed and uncovered slide that doesn't cover the barrel, it just seems to bother me for some reason, in my opinion that's a crappy and error design for the slide.
I have a 92x and I love it it’s big and kinda heavy but it’s a wonderful shooting pistol it’s just better made over the glock. I have owned a few glocks over the years and I carry a 43x still. There both reliable don’t get me wrong the beretta is just a lot smoother and it feels like a tank. Price is a big part in my book glocks are relatively cheap and if god forbid I have to use it it’s going to be taken from me as evidence. I would rather lose the glock. It’s like saying I have a Honda Civic and a corvette I’d rather crash the Honda over the vet. They both run fine ones just nicer and cost more.
Home defense imma use a magnum, but when I’m out and about imma use a Barretta and for sport classic mauser luger like the one from RE4 cause of the look
I'm surprised this is even a topic. It's Beretta 100%. You don't need to do anything to a Beretta right out of the box they are more accurate than the glock.. they last longer.. they are more reliable the longevity is much better.. and the Beretta has been manufacturing Firearms literally for 500 years. You can beat the piss out of a Beretta and it will come back for more. Do that with a Glock and watch what happens.
The benefit of the Glock is it's easy to shoot, the negative is it's easy to shoot. One is much more likely to have a negligent discharge with the Glock than with the Beretta do to the Berettas double action first shot.
With the Beretta 92, you probably only have to change the springs at certain high round counts and the locking block too, only if you neglect to replace the recoil spring. And if you have one of the official Beretta upgraded locking blocks, it might matter a little less.
Did you write an article as well? For I read the first one which popped up after searching "x vs y" and this either quotes some lines verbatim or us the same script. Good anyway.
@@lukesmith981 that makes zero sense my guy. Preferring no safety isn’t a thing since nobody is forced to ever active the safety even if they have one 😂😂😂😂
Şahsen ben kendi görüşüm olarak beretta derim ..yahu aşığım beretta teknolojik ve mühendislik çalışmasına...yaratıcı mühendisler ışıklar içinde yatsın..onları daima hatırlayacağız ve onlara müteşekkir kalacağız..🇹🇷👋🇮🇹❤️🇮🇹 BERETTA...Bir aşk hikâyesi gibidir...
The Glock 17 has only 10+1? Hmm that’s the first time I’ve heard that. Retro-fitted is pronounced differently than you pronounced as well. I recommend you find a new line of work.
Owned both, fired at least 20k rounds with the 🇮🇹 jammed prolly about 10 ten times only… the 🇦🇹 one it was f crap ahahahahha 8/9 times every 50 shots wtf man, Glock is the same, pretty everyone else besides Beretta are like that wtf…. Stuck to Beretta sinc
beretta fail safe would trust with my life weapon.....glock.,,,jamming piles of S...took a brand new 19x to the range today...jammed multiple times ....if it would have been a real life scene id be dead from its failures...beretta never jammed ...glock was a 600$ waste
I'm guessing because the lower ranks are getting the old guns, high ranks the new. M9 has been a service pistol for a long time for my country and I presume that to be the same for many others like yours. I guess the glocks are new. Striker fired is fresh while double/single action is classical.
@@mojobabyyeah4997 i realize that but that's not what he said though. He said the glock has a capacity of 10 plus one. The standard glock mag holds 17. The video never mentions state laws.
