"Cause underwater no one sees a teary eye" It's always so cool to see you enhance your rhymes with these weird circumstances in which the characters live
At first I wondered why he was singing a country song of all things, but then I realized this was a song made to appeal to Sandy, who is a heavily country girl.
Yeah if it was just diss tracks all the time i feel like it would get old. This whole narrative Glorb has created and the variety it comes with is so cool.
Honestly drill tracks are cringe af. The concept of trying so hard to sound tough/cool is inherently childish to me, and the repetitive themes get old real quick. I love the spongebob parodies, but I wish the IRL stuff would be on BravoTV instead of masquerading as music.
Something I noticed is that this is the first time Sandy doesn’t use the hyper-sexualized model. Spongeopp is the only one who sees her like an actual person.
ngl at first i was rooting for spongebob and the crab crew but after thye killed plankton's wife and roasted her by her grave and now spongebob going through hard ship I'm kind of rooting for plankton the writing is amazing this got me over here switching sides.
The Glorboverse is full of life, diverse and beautiful. Behind the hard talk in the streets are real people with hopes, dreams, and families. This is WAY better than another drill track - it makes the conflict between the KKK and Dankton more real, more important, so that the drill shit later hits that much harder
It’s about jaundice from liver failure beyond being a yellow sponge. I have no doubt of that with Glorbs lyrical genius. There’s a lot of double meanings in most songs and I don’t think this is an exception.
This is beautiful. The way spongebob plays his nose like a flute in part of the song, the lyrics and melody, it's all beautiful. Glorb really shows that he can write really good songs in general, not just rap. I've seen other creators on youtube make spongebob country music, but this might be the best one I've ever heard
And the video is fantastic! Beyond the song breaks for actual dialogue and whatnot, the details on their own are amazing! Like, Plankton and Karen placing a $1M bounty on SpongeOpp’s head in a cowboy-fashion, Spongeopp drinking his pain away at the Salty Spitoon, and subsequently going on a police chase while on a seahorse. It’s all so well done. My favourite is the ending. Sponge 🧽 going back into Bikini Bottom with all the darkness and violence brewing up again builds so much anticipation. I can’t wait for the next instalment!
As a 31 year old southern dude from Texas, I'm not sure if I'm more proud or ashamed of how many times I've listened to this banger. From the lean to the cowboy hats, this is classic Texas. Sandy would be proud. Thanks Glorb =D
I hated country for a long time too i thought, then i realized i just hate "stadium country"(bo Burnham does a parody called panderin that summed up my hatred really well) anyways as i found either older or less mainstream country with more real lyrics i grew to love the genre, keep your mind open is all im saying. Sometimes its not the genre overall just the piece youre aware of @@dumbbumsc5329
"And i say I'm fine, cause underwater no one sees a teary eye" is a deep and great line, Glorb is really evolving quickly and I think he's not known enough for the talent of his work
“All I do is real shit I don’t do no sad rap” SpongeOpp’s character development has been consistent and amazing to watch, he’s bee through the trap and done his own share of killing but that brush with death, combined with Sandy leaving bought a new perspective for him
In one attempt, Karen got: Squidy crying for the ambulance. Krabs building underground bunkers. Sandy going back on “the baddest bitches live in a bubble underwater.” Sponge singing country Truly a hall of fame resume
Man I thought Glorb wouldn’t be able to improve upon the softer songs, but for some reason This. Shit. Hits. Unironically improved so much after Sadkini and Glorb was actually able to pull off a softer song while it still being in character and enjoyable to listen to.
Amazing how dynamic of a character spongeopp is, in the song Eugene he said "cus I'm only doing real shit, I don't do no sad raps" . But stuck between a rock and a hard place, spongeopp learns to lean on those he needs. Powerful.
What the hell. I don't know if Glorb does everything, but regardless, we are seriously taking for granted this awesome content that comes weekly, with animations, fire lyrics, catchy beats, like, holy, how is Glorb able to release so much high-quality art within days?!
I really hope Glorb ends up becoming a big artist in the future. He has so much talent and the fact that he’s changing genres for this is just amazing.
This song isnt even a meme. This song hits harder than any song in modern days. This is art in highest form. Im going through some shit right now and this song helps.
So, funnily enough this song came out right after my fiance of 4 years left me. I was at a stupidly low point, but this absolute BANGER got something in me man. Like everyone else says "And i say I'm fine, cause underwater no one sees a teary eye" really hit me deep. Glorb is a fucking genius.
The fact that Glorb can do everything from drill raps and diss tracks to fucking country music is amazing. Glorb I truly feel like you have some amazing talent for music and I could see you becoming something truly incredible.
It’s almost ironic. My best friend friend showed me this. He thought it was absolutely hilarious. He’s gone now. We buried him half a year ago and now I’m crying to this after finally listening to it again. Gangsters do cry even to the ridiculous shit. Life has a good sense of humor
My man really just ignored a bullet wound and even changed genres for his girl. He never mocked her, in any way also (Not like Dankton calling Karen "Bitch") Mad respect to sponge
Been here since STD and I gotta say, I've loved seeing how your production and creativity evolve with every track. Spongebob joke universe aside, this stuff is awesome.
Like how- Glorb effortlessly has call backs, references, funny jokes, hard lines, emotional cords and everything! This is one of my favorite projects I’ve EVER seen on RU-vid and this includes big RU-vidrs like Markiplier’s in space project or Ranboos Generation Loss. Keep growing and god you never miss Glorb, bless
Glorb is actually an amazing songwriter and producer its not just diss tracks this guy can write anything and it will sound fire i love the story arc so far and how all this senseless violence is actually taking a toll i cant wait to see where this goes
The craziest thing about all of this is how this went from a Mr. Krabs AI diss track to being this full-fledged story about Gang wars destroying Bikini bottom and it's still going. SOMEONE GET THIS MAN AN GRAMMY AND AN EMMY
I have no idea how this guy (or team) can take a silly concept and execute it beautifully but also do it in different genres of music. That shows how skilled this guy (or team) is. Love the music keep up the great work! ❤
Its actually sooo refreshing to have actual good music consistently by an artist. I'm unironically impressed. Past the dumb spongebob stuff, there's legit an actual passionate crew it feels and i love it.
at the end of the day, these are all meme songs. but that doesn’t stop them from sounding amazing. this song legitimately makes me feel shit even though spongebob is singing it
Oh my god. This is legitimately one of if not the best country songs I've ever heard, and spongebob doing the flute thing with his nose is incredibly clever. Amazing job Glorb 💕👍✨
Man, ever since the drive-by at the Chum Bucket, everything has changed, but there’s no turning back now. This is the life they brought upon themselves.
This shit slaps so hard, it’s crazy how you can go from a mass robot genocide revenge song to a somber song about Sandy leaving SpongeBob. Kudos to you man, kudos
"when the sheriff's at my door I'm always hoping that it's you" "I can escape the law but it's your love I can't outrun" bro why is this this the sweetest shit I've ever heard
God, that NO ONE GETS ME EXCEPT YOU SANDY AH AA AH part gets me every time. You show the nuances of what makes a solid track, solid. Dynamics, giving ~just enough~ for each part. It never gets old, your progressions are always so interesting and just always sound "right", yet still not contrived...all of your tracks are perfectly crafted earworms. When I first got into this Glorb project, I was like...oh, another Sponge meme thing (no disrespect to you or the Sponge) - but at this point, I'm a legitimate god damn fan of yours and this project. I think I'm at least 50k of these almost 250k plays.
I may not find joy in much in my life. But i find joy in opening spotify and youtube everyday and searching for glorb to see if he dropped something new. The references, the genres, the fact that it was a part of my childhood and glorb put it into to some fire 🔥 music amazes me i live for it
I feel like this trend of experimenting with other genres could just keep going. I’d love to see Savage Dankton drop a track with metal tones; to show his true villain arc. Or Squidwok do a rap track with a jazz fusion twist. Could really expand on the sound of this universe. Also Flying Dutchman track when?
i forgot which song it is. i believe its killcam but spongebob has a lot of references to metal and rock music and bands. like some bars have metal stuff and hes verses have rock and metal undertones
As a 31 year old southern dude from Texas, I'm not sure if I'm more proud or ashamed of how many times I've listened to this banger. From the lean to the cowboy hats, this is classic Texas. Sandy would be proud. Thanks Glorb =D YEA HAW
Damn this shit hits hard ❤ ...kinda ironic, I think in "Eugene" (or in "Kill Cam") Spongebob said he doesn't do sad raps/songs, and yet here he is, dropping tears.
Bro has no business making songs this good. Crazy how an independent RU-vidr can pump out songs faster AND better than major production companies and with an engaging storyline.
I have no proof but I am very sure and have seen other people suspect that this isn’t just one dude but a team of professional song makers that also do work on mainstream music
This is truly the peak of human achievement, the plateau of pastiche, and the summit of human's artistic and technological development. It's the most glorious, unadulterated piece of absolute perfection I have ever seen in my goddamn life and I cannot thank you enough for how much I love this remarkable piece of media.
