I believe the respect should be directed to God, not a platform. It's not about works or outward appearance but about the heart in which you come before God with. His appearance actually symbolizes Freedom to me, He's uninhibited in his praise to the Lord
I have a problem with platform people wearing t-shirts on the platform for a service. You are a leader, in leadership. Need to respect the platform and God house. If your on the platform, it is a privledge, show some respect. I have been on the platform playing for 30 years, I have always worn atleast a dress shirt, if not a tie, with my shirt tucked in. I guess I am old school, but the platform needs respect!
So the bible says come as you are and give your best praise. He never said where silken robes and ties and suits but come to me with spite and clean heart. Christ came and gave us an exact example and he himself did not wear the fanciest of cloths nor did he say come to me dressed a certain way although he could have worn the finest he came as he was as the father told us. 30 years on a platform should be aware of this. No wonder people spend more time in clubs than church. Update sir.
This has always been a huge issue with church folk. We get so caught up in the natural and forget about the supernatural. What constitutes respect? Style of clothing? Really! Time changes...adjust #ijs
