AsuraShin he fell badly on that leg from the right hander. It loosened up his knee and that's a torn inner tendon of the knee from the lateral motions and abuse suffered afterward. Definitely not all one thing
Why does every announcer try say to get in a brawl with Petrosyan? All that seems to do is give Petrosyan tons of openings to land his short economically powerful punches.
+Joseph Kelley Well cuz they can you can get on the "inside" with him and with a lot of luck you might land a punch or so :p but most likeely you aren't gonna win ofc, it does give you a very very small chance maybe ;) I wanna see a rematch with Andy Ristie, the only one in fact to really beat him, that one other loss he had in Thailand was a joke, that wasn't even a great fighter and Giorgio would kick his ass hard if they fought again. This guy is p4p just the very best in kickboxing, over all times, its incredible, beatiful to watch!
It mightve been from the knockdown when he collapsed all his weight onto his leg. Anyone who's dropped into a squat or folded into their knees quickly knows it's uncomfortable to say the least.
I don't know shit about kick boxing but I'm just getting into it but what would happen if allistair ovreem faced one of these guys. does their technique and speed save them or would they get instantly demolished?
Well there is not really too many examples of massive weight miss-matches in combat sport. Petrosyan you'd have to give a very very slim chance to as his defence is impeccable. But to put it into perspective, it would be the same as Mayweather fighting Deontay Wilder... or Connor Mcgreggor vs Overeem in mma.
Hollenbeck is a funny dude he want to thai box in K-1 rules with Giorgio Petrosyan by clinching and elbowing ... he doesnt know that if that was muay thai rules Petrosyan would have make him his girlfriend
