From his record and this fight it appears all he really lacks is power . He landed solid and often but his style is missing the strong finishing punch or kick . He rarely had a hard counter or strong finishing hook . His kicks connected but lacked the pop of hard follow through . He is afraid to over commit. No risk,no reward . It is a fine line. Keep the setup combo but when the opening is there blast that strait right or sit down on that hook a bit . Drive a liver shot up and in or finish with a body kick that thumps and gets the judges attention. Do you risk getting countered yep so plan for the counter . Just my opinion from what I saw in this fight.
@@scottrichardson1014 If I had to add just one thing to his game it would be a world class teep. Of course that is one of the hardest things to develop.
Chadd Joutsen Absolutely a strong teep is like a hard jab it will give you distances and time to reset and or attack . Good Muay Thai fighters work off the teep constantly throwing their opponents off rhythm . I came from a boxing background then started MT . I had to train my mind to throw kicks in combinations . Once I began to think of them like punches I was able to work them in more natural. I’m sure if you start with MT or other styles it’s easier to let them flow.
At some point and soon Sugden’s camp needs to work on his power . He has only two knockouts . His style simply needs power , speed volume and accuracy are there . He lacks the power to back up his opponents. He may out work them and out land them but he will continue to loose decisions on points if his opponents appear to have even a little power in the eyes of the judges. It may be unfair in today’s pro sports but it is a fact . You can beat a man 3 rounds and loose if you’re opponents can land a few flashy power shots weather they are truly effective or not they score because they are obvious and eye catching. You could argue that Sugden got robed and maybe be justified. With a few power shots landed and some low kicks he would have run away with this fight. Best of luck to him in the future. Ten Pow got the win with less work. Some times it pays to know the game not just the sport.
Stat is so wrong. Bailey’s punches landed in air or on gloves of Ten Pow most of time and hadno effectiveness in whole fight but were still counted. Look at TT’s face so you know. TT won 3 reds clearly.
Very close fight I had it for sugden but not by much, so I can't be too unhappy with the decision. I do feel the judges did favor Ten Pow more than deserved though. This was a very good fight, so now I wanna see a rematch and preferably in France or similar nutural country so neither man can claim home field advantage or have that as an excuse for a loss.
this decision is rigged af.. should have been at least a split decision.. glory isn´t the best in making the right calls.. I want to go back to the good old K-1days.. being from the netherlands we always brought top class fighters to the game
Je suis fan de kick boxing et de boxe thai Je trouve les decisions des juges assez douteuses pour ce combat sugden, lorawn rsa, anissa meksen et sitichai gregorian😞😞😞😞😞
