For sure, the size and power difference was definitely a factor, Kobayashi was champion in a lower division (115lbs), and pretty sure she could go back to 105lbs. It was her first step up in weight to fight at 125lbs I think. Kana "Silverwolf" Morimoto would have been a far far bigger challenge but again she is a 115lber. Very few Japanese female fighters above 115lbs. Clinch rules a bit different from K1 and the final count was strange, fight called with 3 seconds left and count stopped at 4? Waved off when she stood up already? Is there a limit to number of knockdowns in Glory or something? With her heart she deserved to see it to the end.
Because it's a touch sensitive moment and a great honour and respect,to your opponent, which she just "crushed".But also her opponent was very touched by this expression.
Amazing performance of pure warriors. She really wants to fight Tiffany again. Whether she wins or loses to Tiffany again, Tiffany is an amazing fighter to go up against and gain much experience from.
Tiffany my girl, love to watch her fight. She is very good at what she does. I got alot of respect for that woman. Keep on punch'n sweetheart we love you out here.👍👍
Nice knockdown by a knee to the liver after 13:22, and the final TKO by a spinning back kick to the liver of Kobayashi after 22:16. Thanks for sharing this.
Didnt like the quick count tho.. like i get it but you can see she was hurt (ofcourse) in the liver by the way she flinched just after it happened. So its an unfair advantage for Tiffany
@@piet8334 Manazo Kobayashi was never going to win but the stoppage was strange, ref waved it off as she stood up in 4 seconds? With a few seconds left in round.
As a 4th Degree Black Belt in Tae-Kwon-Do myself, I can see all the hard work you have put into your style of Martial Arts Tiffany, you, as far as I am concerned have to be the best pound-for-pound fighter/artist. At least you are the best that has the will and drive to place yourself in the ring and prove yourself and your art. Good job once again you little hellion.
4th degree is awesome. I'm thinking about learning a martial art even though I'm middle aged. I live with a mental condition and I feel it can help me. I have no idea which one to follow. Any advice?
I'm half-way through. Kobayashi is technically outclassed, but man, she has guts. Doesn't stop. AFTERNOTE (after seeing the whole thing): Does anyone know whether Tiffany's distance control and lightning fast lead roundhouse to the head comes from Karate or kickboxing? I think that when her right cross pre-empted Kobayashi's lead jab, it came from kickboxing.
Hats off to Kobayashi she has heart of a true warrior!! This is the first Tiffany fight I have seen...WOW what a beast!! She's exiting to watch for sure those liver shots my gawd!!
What for a fight! Tiffany, you are the Greatest! So amazing, to see your development in the last years. And you work hart for the Glory, we all can see it.
Van Soest put on a clinic but Kobayashi had the warrior spirit. She kept coming and trying to win to the very end. You can't teach that kind of mentality, it's something you have or you don't, in my opinion.
You can call all the bomb squad's you want but when this Time Bomb is in the building you better just back up & watch the most Xplosive fighter in combat sports. Please keep her busy like she asked ...& Congratulations to Tiffany : Push, Pull, Strive. I have been waiting to see another fight. "Tiffany is like wine she gets better with time". 911- Bomb Squad ABORT !!!
This was one of the worst beatings I’ve seen in a while. I think if they do more crow promotional events, they’re going to show how Japanese kickboxing leagues can’t compete on an international level. Most of the leagues don’t pull any foreign talent, and they fight under the strictest kickboxing rule set. The lack of clinch experience really showed.
"a beautiful knee to the head" ??? So when women do it to themselves everything is hunky dory, but when a guy does it to a girl he goes to prison for years? Strange world we live in.
I know you might actually be joking in your original post, but just in case, here it is: If it happens in the ring between two professional fighters, it's legit. If it happens outside of that it's a crime.
