My father drove over the selma bridge. My 96 year old grandmother marched. Her daughter marched. Her sister and brothers marched. Her aunt marched. God bless everyone!
Who’s Watching in 2020 ?Rip ahmaud Aubrey 🥺🕊🙏🏾 RIP emmet till 🥺🕊🙏🏾 RIP Martin Luther king 🤴🏾🥺🕊🙏🏾 RIP Harriet Tubman 🥺🕊🙏🏾 RIP to anyone who because of racism 🥺🥺 this really needs to stop 😭.
I'm black and I'm 11 but I understand to much and I want this all to end cause it's a free country but it's only free for white still blacks like me are still behind
I hope our current events today makes it the land that your proud to be from. I'm sorry you felt like this at 11. We need to do better for you and everyone that this is affecting. Keep your chin up. We will get there.
Many of us white people are also held back in many ways. I've never had anyone hate me for my skin color, but I've been hated for other reasons. Some people have it tougher than others, black and white. Think peace, not rage. Remember God promises to those who overcome. The world says the people with not much to overcome are lucky. God says He will bless the socks off of people who are true overcomers.
This song is so powerful! These days for many younger people (me included) it`s hard to imagine what Afro-American people had to go through in the past to get the rights & freedoms, which we take for granted and what courage they had, to fight for them!
I needed to hear this due to all of the stuff going on in 2020. Black lives matter ! We will get our glory and justice. Crazy how 1965-2020 things haven’t changed.
This song was always here but the fact that racism gets worse every day like kids just dying these day doesn’t make sense WE ARE ALL THE SAME BLACK LIVES MATTER
Who's watching today January 28th 2023? Seen "Selma" again and again heard this "Glory" at the end. In remembering that nothing much has been better with police violence or Rasism... RIP Martin Luther King. RIP Tyre Nichols. #TyreNichols
Over half a century later and we are still having the same conversation.... It breaks my heart!!!! How long must people keep on dying? How long must people continue to suffer the same racial injustices?.... #BLACKLIVESMATTER People marched for this over 50 years ago! And when you think about all the advancements we've made in science, medicine, technology, yet so little has changed with things like basic humanity!!!!! We need to do better!!! Proud African. My black brothers and sisters in America....we stand with you. You are not alone.✊🏿✊🏿✊🏿
I am thankful and grateful for all, black and white, who marched, protested and fought for equality and justice for all. Sadly some of this reminds me of Ferguson. Yes, I was there and saw every angle and while some allowed their frustration and anger to get the best of them and those criminals who took of the chaos and tensions, DO NOT BE MISLED. Something evil and sinister breathes loudly in St. Louis, a familiar spirit named racism and hate.
As the batons of hatred and the shouts of racism were struck hard against them, those strong few stood firm and rose once more to march for their rights of Freedom and Equality. They showed that the journey for Civil Rights is a dangerous and frightful walk but one that is just. They represented the living embodiment of our nations creed. They had cuts and bruises and broken bones but still they stood and marched. They did not give into fear but faced it and walked past it with peace and love in their hearts. Those who are the peace warriors of the Civil Rights movement shall be forever remember that our nation is a strong one. That no matter the opposition or trouble that we may face, even in domestic struggle, there will always be those who will march to show the entire nation, that we will not give into fear in the face of hatred and racism when our Freedom and Rights as Americans are challenged. They inspire the nation to stand with them together and with the Grace of God and the loving people of this country, Freedom shall ring from every mountain top, every hill and mole hill, from every house and church and hamlet in all corners of this nation, Freedom shall ring! And it will burn large and loud in the hearts of all Americans! God bless the activists of the Civil Rights movement! God bless America and her people!

Speaking from the heart, my father's family is from Selma, Alabama. I lived in Selma for over 15 years and I knew eventually that they would make a great movie about my city. I am happy that they did but I am also so sad that it took so long for it to be made. I loved the movie and I am so glad that it spoke the truth about what went on there and is still going on today. Thank you John Legend and Common for making this song..... POWERFUL MUSIC
This video and song is so moving and empowering it makes me tear up everytime that just goes to show stand up for what U believe it. And take a stand so amazing I feel very strongly about this
What gave me goosebumps about the story of Selma is some of the white people who did not sell out to their privilege but stood in solidarity (and even died) with us in the fight for equality. When I see the racial integration in the marches, during the '60s, my heart just warms up.
I'm black and I went to see the Selma Bridge and I couldn't help but feel overwhelmed because what Martin Luther King and the rest of the African American Population just went through just to have rights. every human should have the same rights as everybody else no matter their race or gender.
It is not just the song that is touching it is the things that These people did for us I promise you this if that hadn’t happened I would never have been born
When they make movies like this it is too bad they can't include more celebrities, cause the ones they leave out feel suffer from a loss of connection and become vulnerable to the other side. We are a family, but when everyone is not invited to the table, those left out are open to the enemy. Something this powerful should strive to include us all.
this is so sad to watch this it make me sad and whats goin on now, makes it even more sad :( RIP george floyd eric garner trayvon martin sandra bland and many ore goes on:( RIP to many
Powerful now as when I heard first in the theatre when I went to see it on MLK Day this year. I believe the glory will come. The fight is not over. #blacklivesmatter

I stand to be corrected. Glory will never come one day as long as rich and poor exist. We all need to create a loving minded fair honest humanity. bless this song and movie
Amen!!! ✊🤗😀💞 Thank You Lord Jesus 👑 Glory Hallelujah!!! 🙌🙌🙌 To God be the glory for the great things He has done. 🙌🤗😀💞 #BLACKLIVESMATTER #DEMANDJUSTICE
I hope this movie and song opens our eyes, minds and hearts to equality. Presently I feel we are still living in the dark ages and change need to come. I request one and all lets stand up for equality.
Seeing this movie was the Best thing I could've done. Seeing my 12 years daughter cry put something on my Heart. "This movie is our History I said" she said yes it is mom.. It is very important to teach our children the history and let the know never regret who we are!!!!!!
We could be one. We should be one. We can be one; if we choose to be one. None of this has to happen, it's all in the choices we make. So please choose to love each human being the way you would want to be loved. The more you fight against us, is the more we will bond, and rise up stronger than ever. Don't be intimidated by our chocolate skin, It is a symbol of our love strength. If you stand with us, you will be just as strong.❤️
“Let There Be Light!” ~In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend... But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God... who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.~ Dear America, I am just one more voice in a whirlwind of thunderous echoes; and though these pleas might fall on deaf ears let all who have ears hear, Amen! America, it is obvious that we are in a state of grief. We are living through a pandemic that has claimed the lives of over [200],000 souls; and while we debate basic commonsense precautions, the death toll climbs along with its mental toll on our medical community. We have millions upon millions of households jobless and panic-stricken because they can’t make ends meet; meanwhile we all try and cope with our new normal being apart and away from the comfort of loved ones. The stitches from this country’s centuries-long racial wounds have burst wide; and while tears and blood stains our communities, we can no longer deny the injustices we have yet to overcome. We have all heard those heart-wrenching wails from migrant children ripped from their mothers’ bosom out of pure malice; and while immigrant families have been vilified and hate crimes rise, we must never become numb to the cruelties we bear witness. Moreover, we are in the middle of a presidential election, and the chaos swirling around us is just overwhelming. God granted mankind freewill and thus we’re imperfect; which makes us vulnerable and easily influenced, especially in the wrong hands. Moreso these days, there is an all-out campaign acutely targeted at exploiting our open-wounds to drive us farther apart solely to further personal political agendas. And while modern technology is a blessing, especially during a pandemic; it is also a blackhole making it easy to get sucked in and tangled up in its dark webs. It will get more and more difficult to see things clearly; and we’ll question who to trust and what to believe. Scripture warns of a time when even God’s elect could be led astray by a master manipulator. Now more than ever we must utilize our God-gifted light; which is powered by our sixth sense, our conscience. God has always been with us beloved brothers and sisters, and absolutely nothing is impossible with God! America, we must come together for the greatest mission. We have the chance to change course, but it takes all of us; no man left behind, everyone aboard the ark this time. This election transcends political party affiliations; let us send a resounding message to the darkness once and for all and vote Pro-Light. United we will be the light that shines across oceans and continents and wraps around the whole world. America is a work-in-progress which is what makes her beautiful; and we must never give up on the promise to make her comparable for all her children. Whichever side of history your ancestors were on, let us be the generation to right those wrongs and to liberate the oppressed. We have the opportunity of all-lifetimes to shelve the past and begin anew... let us light the way by making America Bright! May the grace and love of Jesus Christ light the world; whose compassion paid the ultimate price for all our sins. Amen! ~And now these three remain: faith, hope and love; but the greatest of these is Love~
