Yea I'm Belgian too and De Bonte wasn't famous tho he was rly good. But it was so unclear what happened to him. No real signs of suicide but not of murder either, so was very weird..
Valtellini is such a clean fighter. Never seems to make unnecessary movements, his technique is always on point, always executes a well thought out gameplan, it's a beautiful thing to see.
More like hard AF lol.. Like boxing is hard too but in kickboxing you'll have more injuries with using your legs, knees, or for example catching a leg or knee to the face. It's a hard sport, I started kickboxing at 1st but if I'd be still young I'd go for a boxing carreer, boxing is much more popular widely & so u can earn a lot more money too if u make it. Kickboxing had some high times about 15yr ago, but it went down again. Only the best fighter can really live off the sport. And if you have to combine this with a job every day, the hours of training, it's real hard.
Wow this it's my first time watching Marc de Bonte...a true warrior and amazing fight IQ extremely good fighter..just saw the comments that he passed away...true lose for this sport
Round 1 Scored even Round 2 Scored even (but lets say Joe gets is for the more effective combinations Round 3 Joe's Round 4 Marc Round 5 Marc So here is a tie.. Most people conclude Joe had the first round aswell but I cant see why, both had effective strikes and did equal damage. Now here is my opinion, Marc dominated round 4-5 so strong that he really outclassed Joe there, while Joe won round 2-3 but not as convincingly as Marc did his rounds. Looking damage wise there is no doubt who won there. And as Glory rules say that in a Tie, a champion always gets slight advantage I can say that Marc was actually robbed and should have won this fight
great fight to watch for taller fighters to counter a stronger, shorter opponent...minus that high kick Marc really fought a great fight...RIP Mr. De Bonte
Holy crap I was shocked when I read that the Belgian fighter died. His case is very strange. There has been an alarming amount of young male drowning cases in the last few years. Look up the Bristol Drownings, also the smiley face murder theory.
steady2wheels I think Holzken will destroy de bonte. De Bonte is slow to retract his right after throwing it. Holzken will time that and Nieky's left hook is devastating. Also de bonte seems to keep his arms high exposing his body and Holzken has the best liver shot of any fighter alive I'd argue. But it's a fight anything can happen so who knows. De Bonte is tall and uses his knees well and Holzken does like a peek-a-boo guard so he could get caught. Would be a good fight to watch.
Valtellini, il migliore. Più tecnico, preciso, più costante. l'altro fighter (sempre bravo) in pratica ha fatto vedere una sola tecnica efficace grazie anche alla sua altezza secondo me.
I really like joseph but i think marc got robbed. Jv had round 1,2 29-28.. 3rd round was pretty even.. 4, 5 marc had him beat. I think it should of been 30-28 marc round 4-5.
TheBattery00 Round 3 even?!? WTF?!? I guess you didn't see the head kick that almost KO'd Marc? Not to mention the pressure and conbos Joe was landing. You need to stick to watching Boxing with the other morons who couldn't judge a beauty pageant.... "round 3 was even" BAHAHAHAH Thats like me saying Joe won round 4....
No, it was Glory Last Man Standing a ppv event that started right after Glory 17 it happened in June 2014. It was one of the best Saturday's of my life it was like 5 to 7 hours of kickboxing in one day.
If it was a Muay Thai fight, De Bonte might have won it. Perhaps Glory should prioritize scores of the final 2 rounds in championship fights. Kind of sucks to see a fighter win by dominating for the first 3 rounds and then hanging back or get gassed for the last 2.
TheDevilsNJ I didn't say Valtelinni lost this fight, nor should the first 3 not count. But the winner should be the one who ends up on top at the final bell - my opinion (and how Muay Thai bouts pick their winner).
***** thats a very flawed way of scoring a fight in my opinion. Each round should hold the same weight. Put yourself in Joes shoes and imagine they gave the other guy the W after you clearly dominated 3 and a half rounds out of 5..
TheDevilsNJ De Bonte won rounds 4 & 5, finished strongly. In Muay Thai scoring, the first 2 don't count as much as the last 3. Doesn't matter who started strong, it's who finishes the fight.
***** Gassed the last two rounds?!? Joe was wining the 4th round until he got Kneed in the face with under 30 secs left, so hows that being gassed?!? Yes Joe got beat in the final round, but maybe we should take into consideration that Marc has 9X more fights than Joe. Give Joe another 45 more fights and he'd destroy Marc hands down.Joe knew he won the first 3 rounds, so why take unecessary risk in the 4th & 5th rounds, while the only way he could lose was getting finished. That's called figthing smart. Not to mention Joe was easily winning round 4 until the last 30 secs, and the 5th round was Marc's. 3 and 2/3 rounds for Joe, while Marc won 1 &1/3 rounds. Yet Marc should have won the fight?!? waitWHAT?!?
So tough to watch a clearly concussed fighter just trying to hang on in the ring. Do combat sports have neutral doctors and concussion protocols like -- can't believe I'm saying this -- the NFL? Joe should NEVER have been allowed to continue...
