Healthy Anti-Inflammatory Smoothie:
• 1 cup frozen mango
• 1 cup frozen pineapple
• 1 banana
• 5 strawberries (cup in quarters)
• 3 small slices of ginger
• 3 small slices of turmeric
• 4 mint leaves
• ½ lime
• 1/2 QT coconut water
Nutrition Info:
🧡 Turmeric contains a medicinal compound called cur cumin; which aids in preventing heart disease by improving the function of the endothelium (lining of blood vessels)
🧡 Turmeric is rich in phytonutrients that may protect the body by neutralizing free radicals (pollution, sunlight) and shielding the cells from damage
🫚 Studies show that ginger is most effective when it comes to treating pregnancy-related nausea
🫚 Ginger contains antioxidants and bioactive compounds that can interfere with inflammatory responses that occur in the brain. This may help prevent cognitive decline, and prevent degenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s disease, and multiple sclerosis.
🍍 Pineapple is high in Vitamin C, fiber, potassium, Vitamin B6 and magnesium. Vitamin C is essential for immune health, iron absorption, and growth and development.
🍍 Pineapple contains an anti-inflammatory property called bromelain. This property may reduce the inflammation, swelling, bruising, and pain that often occur after surgery, including dental and skin procedures. It may also speed muscle recovery after strenuous exercise by reducing inflammation around the damaged muscle tissue.
