An exciting game in the Black Lion. Played at the 4ncl team event in London. * Facebook - / gingergmchess * Twitter - ginger_gm * Website - www.gingergm.com * Twitch channel - www.twitch.tv/gingergm
Bd8 is one of this moves that are very hard to see, yet obvious once shown. Simon and Yasser Seirawan are the only GMs on youtube that i know who dont't shy away from showing games they lost. That's a sign of cool in my book. Bloody good game anyway!
Richpiper here; I have learned a great deal from you sir. I've bought and learned your Killer Dutch DVDs, and your French Defense DVDs. Excellent work from you Simon!. I am currently going through your Classical Dutch course on Chessable - a good follow-up to the older Killer Dutch. As a 69 year old patzer, I need quick learning skills so I can go out as a candidate master. I will be buying your Black Lion course on Chessable when it comes out - can't wait (I'm running out of time here). Keep doing what you're doing Sir, you do a really stellar job!
Hi Simon, I loved your video because you easily explained your ideas and thoughts. I feel I got better after watching a lot of your videos like "longer chess games". That's why I hope you will continue this type of series which are also very entertaining. I learnt a lot thanks to you. Thanks for reading me and have a good day.
I'm so sorry that happened to you Simon. There are so many thieves and selfish people in this world. They will get theirs. I have been screwed over so many times I got used to it. I 8just got a great job last week. I plan to help you as much as I can. I love your analysis videos and all your videos brother. Thank you for taking the time to share everything with us. Have a great day. Peace and blessing to you and yours mr. Williams. -Joe
I think that your analysis videos are total GOLD ... anybody who doesn't appreciate them is a little silly IMHO. As I said on FB earlier in the week (Matt Pereira) I am SOOO looking forward to your Black Lion course on Chessable. Interested to see how many other 1.?? it can be played against ....
5:35 I play the Hanham variation of the Philidor and this is the position I go for because my favourite opening is the King's Indian. I've never before seen it from this kind of move order in any game other than one of mine, so thanks for the validation.
You’re right Simon, its not about the amount of views only. I think this type of videos attracts players which are actively trying to improve, and willing to invest in video courses and playing tournaments, as opposed to the more casual blitz fan that will probably never invest in courses 👍👍
It sounds like one of those really bad days where nothing is going your way. Losing the match, someone hacksaw's your car up, you get stranded in the middle of nowhere for 3hrs and your phone's dead. My god how did you get through all that? I had one of those days recently, some asshat decided to puncture both tires on my bike. Those days really just suck.
that sucks about the car, teenagers threw a rock at my car and shattered the glass. People have no respect for others property. It's a shame. Great game, tough L
One friendly advice: When you are taking a picture, don't stand at the end of the line, unless you're already married. If you aren't, and standing at the end, you will get married very very hard. Maybe stay single forever.
1:38 "So my opponent played e4 here, and I thought well, I'm gonna play the Black Lion." I just found that funny and wanted to bookmark it. Ok fuck it. Just gonna book mark some other funny moments too. 3:40 - The bloody fly. 18:15 - Logitech kills Simon.
