Wasn't sure if I wanted to mention this after a long time watching because I'm never looking for a pity party or a poor me, with that being said I just wanted to thank you guys for what you do, years ago I was diagnosed with a medical condition that threw my life for a loop and altered everything that I love. I've golfed since I was 9 (37 now) and 7 years ago marks that day that I could no longer golf or play sports because of my condition. Watching you all fills a void and I thought it would be cool to let you all know that what you do is more than just playing golf. Keep doing what you do and again thank you.
@@kingfishing5058 "this hole is wide open, but it gets nice and tight down there" I just made that up kind of but that's the type of shit these guys say.
really appreciate the red circle to see where the ball lands on these. If shot tracers are too much work for a video those are an excellent compromise.
@@swgz600 you need to have a nice enough camera I believe to get that resolution. That’s my guess, it is very hard to see a ping pong sized ball flying through the air on video ya know 🤷🏽♂️
As I said on Micah's channel when they did the same format(18 holes of stroke play).....finally!!! Not a big fan of 3,6,9 hole matches and also always being match play. I want to see what everyone can do over a full round and scoring every shot. Good stuff.
gosh these videos are amazing! you guys kill it every time! i started watching you guys around this time last year and im beyond happy how successful you guys have become. y’all deserve it!
The red circles around the ball is such a game changer. Its been there for a minute now but had to comment, makes the videos so much better in the absence of tracers which im sure are such a pain in the ass to do.
They’re probably using key frames to move the circle ⭕️ manually each frame. Pretty quick edit trick for sure. Biggest PITA with tracers is that the software still sucks, and you end up plotting the ball each frame . They def take a while to do but I still do it.
I love the fact you guys play on these imperfect golf course, never a complaint about conditions or anything, just shows how you don’t always need the best and nicest stuff to have a great time. Keep it up guys
@@khooleo I’m gunna give him the benefit of the doubt and say he’s played here before and knows how bad it usually is. But bear creek looks like it’s in great condition rn
Just throwing this out there. Shot tracers are amazing for the videos. Understandable if you can’t do it everytime. Love the content, watched everything you guys have done. Peace and love!
I’m glad you casually mention “drop a like” because I get so involved with the golf, I forget I should do that to help the algorithm and your monetary. As always, anything with my 2 favorite positive GG Maniacs has great content.
haha, the minute I started watching this I thought about what I like about golf, and the course that is 5 minutes from me (which is not the best course) and realized, at least it's nice and quiet out there. 2 fucking jet planes at all times....no. That's not the type of environment I want to golf in I don't care how good the course is.
i swear everytime i watch one of you guys new videos it makes me feel like i can just go out and golf par but then get like double and tripple bogies lol
Very nice guys…I like how they r doin some maintenance to the place…where I play at is goin down hill it’s still a great course but man would sure be nice to put lil more money in it…keep it up guys
Garrett I would like to suggest a putting tip. When putting try saying tic on your backstroke and toc on your forward stroke. I found it keeps your stroke in sink. It may take a bit of practice. I have been doing it so long it has become natural. Use on greenside chips also. Also keep in mind your putter is the pendulum of a grandfather clock. Back and forth. Same speed back same speed forward. Same distance back same distance forward. And saying tic toc keeps the bad thoughts away. Hey can`t hurt to try it. No you don`t say tic toc out loud. To yourself lol
Yea that was ridiculous in your video with Claire I don't think she missed one putt! lol but great video man love what you and the boys are doing..... hopefully some of my boys can play yall sometime!!
I like the 18 hole videos (9 on each others channel) Squeezing in 6 holes before sunset is fine, but it's arbitrary and comes across as content chasing. If you, Grant and Tig played 18 holes together, playing 2 balls each, you could do 3 1v1 18 hole matches. Garrett vs Grant, Grant vs Tig, and Garrett vs Tig. A good value vs time spent. 2 videos for each of your channels.
I just got my Q-zip! I thought the quality looked good on the videos, but I’m impressed by the quality in person. Can’t wait for another drop so I can get a polo.
Garret my man !! Sand ... That's what, appears to have, kept your put right of the hole. My I GRANT you the best of luck next Saturday ;) P.S. LOVE the fudge oitta the X-Files music ... Made me think about how hot Skully was ;p
Tip for G. For a severe downhill putt as in hole #6 hit the ball with the toe side of the putter. That dulls the shot & slows the ball down on a downhill putt. Trust me that works.
Have an idea for a video: Sabotage. Both of you caddy for each other, and only your buddy can give you the distance to the pin. He can either be truthful or lie about the distance, and using your on-course intuition you can trust the number or go with your gut. Match play.
Garrett, when facing a down hill putt, where you cannot stop it, play the ball off the toe and play a little more break. If you play the ball off the sweet spot, it is hard to stop the roll. The idea is a toe hit is almost like a miss hit which will allow the ball to stop quicker?
Just thought I would share this. I am a below average golfer, who is in the middle of lessons. I shoot in the high 80's, never broke 80. On Labor Day, I went to my wife's cousins house for the weekend, and we went golfing. I decided to talk my shot into existence, like you guys do when explaining each shot before you hit it. I still played poorly, but I noticed I was a lot more comfortable while playing. And I actually hit a lot more shots the way I was wanting, than I normally would. I had 4 pars in a row, which is unheard of for me. I'd like to challenge anyone who reads this to try it, and let me know how it goes. I would be interested to see some responses. I think it helps getting away from thinking of the bad hits.
I can’t wait for Garret to get putting help. Maybe do a couple push drills to get the putter head through the ball. The stab stroke really makes my heart hurt. The rest though, I’d punch a baby for their games. Any part of if would help me tremendously
dude is it the water good good guys are drinking??? i swear their yardages are getting insane. first it was just tig. but now garrett, matt, lately grant and even steve are super long! i think you guys need to do a long drive amongst yourselves in competition conditions (ala bryson on his vid)
Garret or somone else if you see this can you tell me where you find like those big bags of just tons of golf balls, it would be much appreciated pls and thank you
Maybe I'm a small percentage but I enjoy the circles as much or more than the tracers. Maybe on awesome ball flights or some crazy wind a tracer is top but the circle more than does it for me 99% of the time. Besides to me the drive is the most boring part of golf or watching golf anyways lol also I'm prob in the small % of that feeling. Iron and wedge game is where it's at , then its putting and the skill you can easily see when a good putter becomes great. Putting is tough cause some days your hands and eyes are on point and others they are off lol So when somebody learns to get through that to putt well everyday it is easily noticeable.
