You guys don't realize it now but all this content your filming now will be with you forever..... Think about it, 20 years from now you can go back and watch how good you looked/swung the clubs. Besides you never want to take the time you have together for granted, you will always have this with you guys..... Good stuff guys!
Oh how I miss my hometown and Torrey Pines. Lucky you didn't play the South Course from the tips in the morning fog. What a beast! Followed Chi Chi Rodriguez a few times and Seve Ballisteros also back in the 70s and Phil in his Prime before he redesigned the North's greens and lengthened both courses, what a treat, the views are epic along with the Hang Gliders!! Thanks to you all for the awesome video, blessings and continued success from Richard in Cosby, east Tennessee. I pray you enjoyed San Diego, I know I did for 64 of my 68 years. POSITIVE VIBRATIONS!
@@allusiv I found out I had a long lost sister I never knew I had. She had been looking for me for half a century and found me through my son's DNA. So my wife and I moved to east Tennessee to catch up for lost time four years ago two months after she got a hold of me. It is cheaper here than SD to live in my retirement years, SD will always be my HOMETOWN. Blessings to you for asking brother! POSITIVE VIBRATIONS!
@@lisacateyes53 there is no praying involved with enjoying San Diego, God made it perfect in every way. I pray you have another great 68 years here on this rock.
Such great commentary by two kids who have genuine love for the game. awesome work…we know there’s tons of work behind the scenes to put this string of videos together. You could tell these guys were gassed after the round mentally! Great series guys!
You guys are so much fun to watch. Not only is the golf you play extremely entertaining to watch, but the chemistry you Garrett, Grant and Ryder generate is magic! Thank you for making golf a real enjoyment.
Played there 30 years. Only 2 holes on the ocean and 6 hour rounds. Trump National is 100 times the course for the same price. There's a reason the USGA said it will never return.
That shot by Garrett on the last hole is a good example of why Rick said he's got one of the best short games he's ever played with including tour pros.
@@e.s.4136 Even if they don't, it isn't a tournament, so not worth ruining a club or hurting your wrist. Him moving it back actually looked like it was a tougher lie, more on the downslope. I was just poking fun when I mentioned it.
Garret has such a quick unique vision for shot making …It’s unreal & so much fun to watch !!… Soooo creative!! It’s like his trick shot abilities carry over to the golf course …just so sweet !!!
The way this way edited to show you guys talking into the camera in your hand. So good, break that 4th wall. Shout out to you guys grinding for a full week and still finding ways to make the videos different visually, amazing.
The editing is so good in this entire series. Great golf, even better views. Cant wait for the last leg of the trip to see who you guys filmed with. The content just keeps outdoing itself!
One of my favorite parts I’m watching your matches is sharing us the details of the course you’re playing. And talking about the greens. It makes me feel like I’m there experiencing it with you
Love the life you guys are living. Just a couple of the most down to earth scratch golfers, casually playing some of the coolest tracks in the world. All the best, you guys deserve it!
Really appreciate the consistent episodes G-rat. Have to admit the recent GG upload schedule has me a little concerned, but GM content always hits the spot
Took my Dad to play Torrey for his 60th birthday last year (2021). We drove out from AZ and played the North Course a couple weeks before the US Open. I can for sure say that the conditions play so much harder when they let the rough grow out, it was a treasure hunt to find the ball if you ever landed in anything that wasn't the fairway. Great video guys!
Honestly, all these legendary courses you've been playing has got to be a dream come true. You guys basically just started a RU-vid channel and now you are playing amazing courses people could only dream of and meeting legends.
Following all you Good Good guys in the back of the UK visit with Rick. So many great videos to catch up on. Loving every one of them. You guys are awesome.
Loving the content you guys provide! I hope you played Torrey Pines South as well! In tour conditions being in the rough is one of the last places you want to be on TPN or TPS (it was brutal after the US open). I was blessed enough to work across the street from the clubhouse and got to head to the driving range on lunch breaks on a weekly basis. I know you are probably out of town by now but, Coronado Golf Course is one of the most beautiful places I've played down in SD.
Garrett, my name is also Garrett. I also love in Texas and golf everyday lol, just in San Antonio. The green and white checkered shirt is the best GG shirt. Please hook another fellow Garrett out and let me get one!
This has been awesome! You two have great vibes and it shows through. I can’t wait for the next one. You guys need to do this again. Maybe do another Georgia trip or something.
These matches are so enjoyable to watch. You two seem so affable and good natured and would be so much fun to golf a round with. Then reality sets in and I know I wouldn't be golfing with you as much as I would be 100 yards in front of you off a different tee box and so far off the side of the fairways we would never interact 🤣🤣🤣. Still I can at least imagine how much fun it would be. Keep up the great content and thanks!
You guys need to appreciate how lucky you are to get access to these courses I’ve been playing golf for to years . Played may good pga rated courses . But it’s taken me a life time to due so
garrett been with cutsy for too long, asking the “no?” after the phrases to himself. “that’s gotta roll out no?” “that’s gotta be perfect no?” love to see dynamic youtube duo channels takin after each other
The rough at Torrey, when grown out, is the defense for the course. It is impossible to get good strikes when the rough is grown out for tournament play. I think they cut it for the juniors to keep their scores from getting out of control.
Can confirm. First time I played was right before the farmers and i was fighting for my life out there, didn’t help that 90% of my shots went into the rough tho
@@samjohnson7325 are you me? played it the weekend before the farmers for the first time as well. If I found it in the rough, I'd duff it 5 feet forward and lose it again LOL
Amidst all the prankers, “ig models”, douchebags, there is gm golf. The channel where you can be rest assured to see some wholesome content. Just gotta say that I appreciate the channel garrett. You don’t know how much of an impact you really haver
LOVE this series! I'd love to see you and Grant continue this series in other destinations. Midwest US, East Coast US, Scotland, Europe. Those series would be YT content gold!
That was a great impression of D.J Grant! Thank you both for the videos. You helped me get through losing my dad. I truly love you guys and all of the good good crew.
Great match fellas. I just started watching your channel this week. I have seen some of your stuff on IG but first time on the Tube. Very impressive game from both of you. The length both of these guys have is unreal for how lean they are. The DJ swing was very accurate. Kind of crazy to say "I watched him alot as a kid". Didnt realize the guys were so young. You really need to get back and do the whole Monterey Peninsula golf tour. Huge fan of Bob as well. Salim seems like a pretty cool dude when he is with you guys.
Great golf boys. Hopefully you get a chance to play the famed South course. I haven’t picked up a club in years but your great content is enticing me to especially since Torrey Pines and the OC courses you played are all within and hours drive. I’m kind of a boneheaded not playing golf here if I think about it!
Still watching he video. Hope you guys had a chance to get over the south course. Much harder and better course in my opinion. Love the content and this series! Keep killing it boys!
As much as I enjoyed that, I NEED more Torrey Pines content from you guys. Been playing tons of TP South recently, would love to see how you guys score on that track! You need to come back for a full 18 on TP South AND the TP North back 9 is 9 of the most beautiful holes of golf you can play
Guys you need to do a road trip to Southeast Nevada (Mesquite) (About 100 miles east of Las Vegas) and southern Utah (St. George and Hurricane) another 60 miles northeast of Mesquite. Plenty of amazing properties to stay at and at least 10 courses that will blow you minds... Wolf Creek in Mesquite and Sand Hollow in Hurricane are a "Must" but there are so many amazing courses designed by the best in these desert settings... incredible.
Love Torrey! I played the South Course in May 2021, a month before the US Open and the rough was pretty long. I shot 85 from the green tees, which I was very happy with as an 11 handicap at the time (currently a 9). Would love to go back!
16:31 was such nice camera work. How you went from in focus on the putter to infocus on the hole as it dropped. Plus the angle was nice a low. Who ever filmed that deserves a raise lol.
I've played the South Course a couple of days before they closed it for the US Open. In all honesty they were trying to get so many people on the course before they close that it ended up causing some real damage to it. It looks a lot better now.
