Great video! I bought some OEM Toyota style tow mirrors but the bottom mirror is too narrow to even use so I went and ordered these exact ones a few days ago and can't wait to install them.
Ijust got the mostplus tow mirrors for my 2013 tundra. I also did not wire up the backup lights for the mirrors . Your idea is even better than wiring it to the backup lights on the truck. I am also gonna wire it into the cargo lights ... thats a great idea. That way you got some extra light when pulling into a campground at night. I was actually surprised that the running lights and blinkers worked with the stock plug seeing that the stock mirrors dont have lights in them
@@kccreations5945 just a thought, if you enable the cargo lights while in gear, forward or reverse would the lights come on if wired into the cargo? Or will they not enable unless in park?
@@kyleramynke2710 hey Kyle! I imagine if they are wired into cargo they would work whenever! But I recently installed an auxiliary light control panel and I think I’m going to wire those reverse mirror lights into that so I can turn them on with my Auxpower light switch! Might be a fun project!
Installed my set and they are great! 30 min. install for both. Highly recommend if you tow with your Tundra. Mine is a 2020 and they are a perfect fit. Thanks for the video.

Nice video! I got the same style mirrors also. Mine have a white drl light and amber turn signal switch back. One thing I regret is not getting the power folding addon. Got mine from boost auto
I swapped out the chrome grill and hood parts on the front of my 2016 Tundra. I should have sent them to you...you like chrome. I tossed them, my bad and they were OEM parts too like new.
Did you wire the lights on your mirrors?? I ordered some and would like to have them come on when the truck bed lights are on saw a video on it but it was all kinds of wiring not just the simple 2 wires😂😂

Hey Patrick! Sorry I never saw this comment so I’m getting back to you late. I am really pleased with the mirror quality as they don’t shake it all over bumps and have held up really well since I installed them. No complaints at all!
Good video. I went with the Toyota OEM mirrors. They cost about $500, and took about 30 minutes to install. I do not have Blindspot monitoring, so the tow mirrors significantly improve my visibility.
How are the mirrors holding up? Do the shake to much? Can you see the ugly colored wires under the mirror as other models? I had not seen this video before ordering a set of a different brand that was $50 more otherwise I would have order this ones
Also, no one had them for the 2020 with power folding. They had different tabs that I had to remove in order for them to fit and there was no diagram for the power tie-in so I just had to try one after another till I found it lol
Hey Austin, I just installed my tow mirrors (thanks for you video). My BSM turns on like it works but I haven't seen it work when I'm driving. Is this an issue with these mirrors? I think I have the same mirrors as you.
Just installed similar mirrors on 2015 Platinum and everything functions except the DRL/ BLINKER lights on the front of the mirrors. Trying to figure out what i need to do to get those to work.
Did you have sensors in you're stock mirrors? The dealership said there is lane departure sensor in the 2020 Tundra side mirrors? The stock mirrors suck for towing !! Otherwise I have no complaints with my Tundra. It's set up from the factory to tow, but has no tow mirrors?

Those aren't back up lights. They are wired to the work light that are part the 3rd brake light on GM trucks, so you install it properly. (Other channels haven't.) +1 Sub
How’s the passenger side main mirror on these? On the Toyota tow mirrors it’s like it’s slightly concave instead of convex, so it makes that mirror nearly useless. I was ok with the orange (although the marker light unfortunately doesn’t work with Limited), but that one mirror is so bad on the Toyota tow mirrors I’m tempted to try something else. Nice video!
Nice looking tow mirrors! I was looking at these and ridgeway brand ones too. I noticed the link you had to Amazon that tow mirror has the blindside indicator light, did you order yours without it? And the amber light is plug and play? Looks really good I like it! But yeah same thing you was saying about the reverse lights I don't think I would use them, wonder if they sell those without it? Hello trying to find out how to wire turn signals… i bought same mirrors but my factory mirrors do not have turn signals and when i plug in they dont work so how would i wire from mirror to car turn signals? Also the mirrors i got have power fold going to put switch on that and running lights too need to wire that as well any ideas?
Hey man, mine didn’t have turn signals either and they just worked so I’m not sure why… I think I put a picture of the wiring diagram in the video which may give you a jumping off point for what wire to look for! As for the folding you would just want to look at the wiring diagram and tap into one you can control or see if there is a plug and plug kit out there where you could steal power off the ignition or something. Hope that helps some!

Yes everything works! The lights on the front of the mirror aren’t blinkers (which I thought they were) but they shine Amber and the mirror face has a blinker in it which I think is super cool! The only thing you have to wire separately is for those reverse lights

I wonder if the blindspot indicators works with just the way you installed it or does it needs extra wiring for it? I just have mines installed and wasn’t sure if it will actually works.
@@Aznjordan1 did it work? I have a 2014 SR5 and mind don't, but if you look at the wiring of my truck the plug has it wired. I'm wondering if I need to install a fuse to activate it since it didn't come standard on the 14 SR5s. Do you have an update?
@@Aznjordan1 yes, I confirmed with Boost Auto if your truck didn't come equipped with BSD the feature won't work in the mirrors. All good! They still look much better and I can see much better.
@@kccreations5945 yea they don't turn on. i did some research... those grey and white wires - grey goes to ground which powers the front amber's for me, white is the side reverse lights.

Yeah I did the same install you did. Wiring isn’t my strength and I didn’t want to use the vampire wire connector. If I buy those fuse taps that you have and find the rear bed light fuse would that send power to the lights in mirror or do I need to vampire into the wire?
I put them in mine but I did not like the cheap material of the mirror it seems very poor quality plastic and also that the mirror on the passenger side is not aligned like the one on the driver's side so I returned them !!!
I don’t think Toyota Japan has anything to do with Toyota USA Toyota just sold the name to some car company to build Toyota here in the US because Tundra, Tacoma look like shit and the material they use is cheap. If i was Toyota i wouldn’t affiliate myself with Toyota USA.

I put the "GM" mirrors on my Tundra and not only does it look better, I can actually see cars in what used to be blind spots. I don't get your problem with "cross matching". What we bought isn't a GM product just because it looks like it. It's a serious upgade for us. I think if you really loved the Tundra you'd appreciate that, but like always not everyone will be happy; nor are we trying to. Don't think anyone is going to regret their decission because you have a problem with it. lol
