I have three baby girls and I have not cut any of them, nor have sisters cut their daughters.I am sooo lucky my parents were educated enough to say no for us.
Severe bleeding,period issues,wedding night consummation issues,pregnancy issues,childbirth issues,prolonged labour issues,obstructed labour issues,fistulas,are all consquences of fgm
More understanding is needed so that more women are spared the heartbreaking consquences of fgm so that more and more women and children and young girls and their families are spared the heartache of fgm, fear grief and misery which is what fgm stands for
What can we do from the other side of the world to change this tragedy. My heart goes out to all the little girls and survivors of this male hate crime towards the sacred feminine. 💞
Male oriented crime ????? It's the women....the Grandmother's....aunts...Mother's who keep it going !!!! And if your the other side of the world and it isn't your religion or culture dont get involved It's a very old practice and they need to figure it out for themselves!!!!
I get that they want girls to stay virgins until they get married but these people need to change their mindsets of shes dirty cos shes not cut they need to be educated about how bad fgm is
If they know that type 3 fgm causes soooooooooooooooooooooooooo many problems and has so many consequences then why do they still do it its dumb and it makes no sense

Do you think she had a say in having those kids? In having marital intercourse which causes her so much pain as well? And she is not willing to have her daughters cut, this is why she is giving her testimony…

It is not an islamic tradition but a pre-islam tradition… actually their religious leaders fight it now, stating it is not in the Coran. But it is still deep in the traditions, and in some places an honor thing for the family.
