I don’t know how you find a Second and a third video but I’ve been scrolling and I can’t sit here all day looking for a second and the third video doesn’t come up in a search can’t you just put the links somewhere?
What a well arranged video. Unfortunate you haven’t continued the series as planned. But I get it. RU-vid isn’t your full time gig. Thanks for the introduction though.
I just bought a 2004 Denali xl that has this message on the dash. I would like to repair the system, this a great start for us home diy'ers trying to save money. I look forward to the next part of this series, I am going to go pick up the vehicle soon and check all the fuses you mentioned.
For anyone looking at this comment, I may be wrong but I don't think those videos ever got recorded or released. I will be recording my own set specifically for this vehicle and everything on that chassis. I get its an older vehicle but there is a need. I'll be doing everything that covers Yukon, Silverado, Tahoe, Suburban, and Escalade 2003 -2007.
Hi, I can't seem to find your remaining videos for parts 2,3,4,5 for servicing the ride control issue? Video 1 was great. I have a 2003 Yukon with the same issues. Can you sent a link?
Hi thanks for the info. I purchased a clean 2000 suburban. The compressor is unpluged .will that cause a service ride light? I dont think the front shocks are air only the rear.
Hi there thanks for help. I have 2003 Yukon Denali I check there is compressor not work. So I change the new compressor buy Amazon after install it’s sound on next day no sound. Then I check the both shocks crack so I buy new both shocks it’s air shocks today I change both shocks but also Amazon. But still compressor not on I check you told fuse all is ok so what I do next ?
well i would put power directly to the compressor , once it goes on get a spray bottle with water and soap and go around and spray all your lines and shocks and see if any bubbles form. if you see any fix those areas. if the compressor does not come on your compressor is bad. the next thing is check your levelers.make sure they are set correctly. thats my 2cents.
No, but there is a lot of RU-vid videos on this subject. You just can't disconnect it. You have to install a connecter of some sort on the shock to talk to your computer.
I still have my 03 Yukon Denali XL just shy of 300,000 miles. Needs a paint job now, and she has a few little issues but its a great truck and it has taken our family across the country more times than I can count. Now, i'm stuck with a few small issue I need fixed before my next big move: I have a parasitic electrical drain that I can't figure out. I've watched a few video's on how to troubleshoot but nothing is really working. If I don't drive or start engine for 2 or 3 days, battery is completely dead. all I can do now is physically disconnect the battery until I need to go somewhere which is kind of a pain. Any thoughts?
well the cheap way is to install a kill switch. there are many types. figure out one that you can afford. they cost $5 buck to $100 bucks. ones you can put on your battery or ones that have a fob, and ones that you can use your cell phone. is you have check everything. Try checking your BCM body control modual you may have a bad computor. good luck.
Just bought a used 2005 Yukon XL denali 6.0l yesterday. No Manu so trying to gure out things. I believe it is supposed to have adjustable gas and crate pedal. Where are those located? I also have the service ride control will have to figure that out too.
The Pedal control is on your drivers door panel. you'll see something that looks like a foot. Haven't got to the service ride control yet, but hang in there .
My engine light will not reset. After diagnostics hit on the "purge valve" I replaced the old valve with new. Then took the steps to reset check light. It went away for a couple of months then came back on. I then had another diagnostics and it read the code for purge valve again. Being new I took the valve off cleaned it real good and put back on. Took steps to reset check engine light. Check engine light then wldnt reset. For good measure did another diagnostic test and it codes for purge valve still. The purge valve is too new and clean so I don't know what's going on. I cringe everytime I look down to see my check engine light on
So I had a question I don't know how quickly you'll be able to respond but on the stud 1 for the 40 amp fuse, would it make a difference if there was a different amp fuse there like a 30
My 2006 gmc yukon denali xl shut down and reduced engine power & stability track control reading with a check engine light. It pulled a p1516 code so I cleaned up the throttle body and it worked for couple of days. Thoughts on it or what I should do next to fix it? Thanks
This mechanic shop here quoted 5,000 dollars to fix. Said need 2 shocks for 750.00 for each OEM shock and 2,000 in labor for diagnosis and install and 1,500 for compressor and install. They are dough bags
Actually your info is not completely accurate, What many of you have mist is the front shocks. If you have replaced the front shock at one point or another you may have this issue as well. Reason been that ,majority of mechanics have no clue that the connectors to the front shocks are screwed and are not push or pull to release them. Doing that breaks the connector and then voila you get the service ride control light. I learn this the hard way. The mechanic that replaced mine pulled the crap out of them, and not only now they can no longer be screwed on as they should, he also broke the small cover that protects the actual connector. If they are not screwed properly they get loose and the light comes on, now they need to be replaced with new ones.
I’m loosing my damn mind with my “service ride control” light and I think it’s maybe by ride height control but I can’t find part 2 of this video anywhere?!?! Are you trying to drive us insane? No one can figure out this damn light. HELP
The video is only about 4 months old. I'm pining for more information, too, but the ride control system is not detrimental to the vehicles operation. Let's be patient, hopefully he sees that several of us want him to finish this series and he will do it for us!
At 1:15 you say, "I got this message," but the picture is the exact picture I took of the dash of my truck. Good looking out stealing the thumbnail picture from my video to use in your video and even as your thumbnail with some fancy overlaid words. . .something about imitation and flattery and all of that. . .
