Erik- your no nonsense approach to analyzing GME options market has been super interesting. While I find the tinfoil theories fun, they do get old after a while. I just paper handed my 45C Octobers at a pretty small loss, might have to jump back in on a red day though. The 45s had no liquidity though... Are you playing OTM Leaps? Need to check out your other videos. Cheers and keep it up!

I agree with you that short dated calls are likely lost money. The weird thing about GME is that it pops off out of nowhere on no news. DFV bought short dated calls in May and made a killing. Somehow he has dialed in his timing with precision. A lot of people are speculating and trying figure out how he is nailing his timing. I sure as hell don't know. DFV has probably been intensely watching the stock for longer than anybody. On top of that and he's an incredible trader, very intelligent, and seems to have a knack for these things. For the vast majority of us, these short dated calls will certainly be lost money though.

All of these RU-vid channels analyzing the daily movement of GME and AMC is a ridiculous waste of time, unless you want to trade, based on the ALGO, fractals. 90% of retail’s buys of GME/AMC don’t hit the lit market, and won’t affect price. The shorts sure as hell hit the lit market. The price is NOT REAL! Until Roaring Kitty makes his move to expose them, and light the fuse to MOASS, keep buying, and diamond handing!! Sure, trade a bit to then buy back in!!! The shorts on GME NEVER CLOSED back in 2021! Let that sink in. The KITTY has MOASS in his eyes!!!

buying deep ITM options as a method to acquire shares comes at a cost - so that's why people don't gravitate to acquiring that way.

Bear with me, as this is perhaps the noobiest of noob questions: when a trade is always based on a buyer and a seller, how come trades can be referred to as "a buy"? Doesn't a transaction always include a buyer and a seller, this being both a buy and a sell at the same time?

Indeed but we are able to determine who initiated the trade - BTO or STO. This matters because in the majority of instances the counter party will be a liquidity provider who doesn't necessarily have a view on the trade itself. So understanding who opens them is informative.

From my point of view, not trying to be a dickhead but HF and MM they don't want GME to go below 10$ as you said. If, only if, GME goes below that, a ton of OI will come up, literally will explode. Imagine, big whales like DFV : ''Ohhhh , discount day. BOOM maybe 200k or 300k contracts'' imagine the ton of FTD's will come up + HF needs to hedge those calls right ? + you need a ton of money to bring this stock below 10$ and after a ton to hedge. After 3-4 years of this fuckery, some did catch the mouvement, the puzzle isn't 100% done but 90'ish is a good spot. And maybe RC will blow up with another few millions of $ of insider buy, this will bring more hype, more people will come in. Is just impossible for them to go below a certain number.
