I don't get how Kenny thought he should start over russell Wilson 🤔. Russ had more TDs last year than Kenny had in 2 years. Kenny needs to humble himself and learn if he wants to be great.
Do these guys even pay attention to football? Kenny threw a tantrum last season when Mason got the start over him. That should give you an insight on his personality. In fairness, Mason was more productive then Kenny so I don't blame the Steelers for that. Also, they brought in Russ because they could. They still had Kenny to be our future QB. They must of felt either he wasn't ready or needed a push or simply needed some veteran mentorship. Either way, Kenny threw a tantrum again and demanded a trade. Steelers got Fields because of Kenny's choice. Hopefully, Fields will be our future QB now.
This rubs me all the wrong way. The first sign of competition and he runs and whines like he was entitled to be the starter without earning it. He has done nothing up to this point to even have that sense of entitlement.

I think being drafted in the First round that Kenny thinks he's entitled the job. It doesn't work that way. You must perform on the field. I watched all of his games, and can tell you that he isn't a playmaker.

Kenny's mood got soured. When they decided to start Mason in week 17. However, both QBs played against Cincinnati in the post Canada era. Kenny goes 24-33 for 278 0 TDs. Whereas Mason goes 17-27 for 290 and 2 TDs. The Steelers needed a win in week 17 and went with the hot hand. Now, Kenny & Mitch are playing back-up and Mason could be competing for a starting position. No bad feelings to Kenny, happy he's happy to be in Philly. As for the Steelers, they now have a starter that single-handedly threw for 13 more TDs then Kenny, Mitch & Mason combined and paying him $1.2m That seems like easy math and a free-agent win for the Khan-artist.

It took Kenny three years to figure out D1 college football. I really felt his NFL trajectory would be the same. I was thinking this year he would take a similar leap. At the same time he never really felt genuine to me, I wasn’t surprised by the tantrum, but I still think he’s a good kid at heart trying to find his way.

Hey you think 24 starts was not enough starts? Mason Rudolph only had 10 starts in 6 years until Tomlin was forced to use him in game 15 in 2023. Then he lit it up.

Pickett....13 TDs x 13 INTs. Pickett refused to dress against Seattle when Tomlin said Rudolph was the starting. Pickett threw 8 INTs in his first 4 games. Pickett threw lots of dump passes and rarely tried a deep pass, Which is why he did. Not throw many INTs, but he also did not throw TDs either.
I can see this from Kenny's point of view! Kenny did not want to be the next Rudolph! The Steelers Owner made a rare press conference criticizing the way the Steelers have been performing over a seven year span….Tomlin and the general manger decided with all that pressure and decided to make dumb quarterback decisions…Tpmlin lied to Pickett at the end of the season that he was QB 1….after acquiring Wilson all that changed and Wilson was QB 1……Pickett didn’t want to fight for his job and decided to fold like a cheap tent and ask for a trade……you probably won’t be hearing the name Pickett…he will be buried behind Jalen Hurts for many years…wrong team to be traded to Kenny…..it’s not always Sunny in Philadelphia …
1. Kenny only had like 1 1/2 games with the new oc cant blame him having mutual ocs he only started 2 games with the new ocs and didnt finish the second 2. 17 starts was enough to see ridder was dog shit so yes 24 starts was enough
6 TDs and 4 Ints through 12 or 13 weeks! Yet he still had entitlement ! Yes he had comeback wins but if he could have played better in the first 3 quarters he wouldn’t have had to comeback all the time.

Agreed! Rooney the latest, is not his father's Steelers owner! Not great at all! Kenny will Kill us down the road! We have miss managed every QB since Bradshaw! Honestly, kenny pickett is a true G in all of this. Kept it stitched lipped after the Steelers F.O. created a false narrative about how things went down with Russ and kenny. Mason told kenny how steelers pulled the rug out from under him and kenny with tomlin not man enough to tell kenny what was going to happen. Kenny found out about it through the media and not his own coach. Afterwards, Tomlin finally wants to talk to kenny and says Russ is the starter and is not up for competition.
