• CTA Bus, Old-Look Flxi...
On Saturday, October 1, 2022, the CTA celebrated its 75th anniversary with a display of three 1960's vintage buses: a Flxible New Look bus displayed on Daley Plaza by the Picasso statue, a hybrid Flxible with an old-look body and a new-look front end, and a GM New Look bus. Those last two were taking riders on a circuit around downtown.
It was great to see and hear them again, and hilarious to see young people on the street, staring like they were seeing space aliens, who had no idea what they were looking at.
They also had three vintage trains running around the Loop el tracks -- video to come.
