Interesting stuff. I'm always intrigued when I see those ceramic antennas. I've noticed they are using tiny versions on some of the ESP boards. I'm going to have to do a bit of research and finally learn how they work !
The local school on Walnut Grove Dr. is a good spot to pick up many satellites as shown in my last GPS video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aBVxSyyx8Fw.html

Always ensure the FTDI logo is laser engraved not printed. If you have a fake with serial number A50285B1 and it gets bricked with driver version 2.12, download MPROG.exe ver3.5 and restore the PID to 6001. Windows no longer uses drivers that will brick fakes. If you are still paranoid, stick to CH340 USB to serial chips.
@@0033mer EEVBlog did an extended discussion on the topic. Any company that decides to intentionally ship software that maliciously affects end-user's products has their marbles in the wrong place. Once bitten, twice shy. I fight back in the only way possible for me - steer far away from all their products.
