I got this kit through Ali Express. Only small issue i had while installing was a piece on the calves. Was too tight so I just sanded it down a bit with a small piece of sandpaper. Other than that, it's absolutely perfect. 10/10 love it
Might get this and the DNA and see if I can use the leg and back upgrade on this one. And shoulder joint upgrade from DNA and smoke stack upgrade from this one together.
And with that you have the best SS 102 optimus prime version, the accesories and shoulders from the DNA kit, and the legs, smoke stacks and back from this kit would make it perfect
@@TaterbotShow If you’re talking about the shoulder posability, no. This mainly just helps with the truck mode. You need the DNA Design kit for the shoulder upgrade.
Great upgrade! Kinda wish the new shin parts did more to cover up the thighs in truck mode, but the end results looks still miles better than the original.
I bought both this Kit & DNA. The feet from this kit are better & movie accurate, although a little loose in the ball joint part & for the feet to slide up but stands tall & straight without the awful toe joint from DNA. Additional smoke stack for back suits well but with DNA its better. Finish off with DNA weapons upgrade & BANG! U got yoself a badass SS102 Optimus!
I just installed it onto my SS 102 KO. The inner leg pieces are so tight and need to be filed down. Also the front of the legs can't tab in anymore without flexing the plastic. It took me half an hour to try to get everything where it goes. The feet are a little loose but that is easy to fix. The smoke stacks, panels, and back are pretty good. I already hated SS 102 but this made almost everything worse.
Which KO did you get? I tried out the Black Mamba, and that thing’s left arm broke off its peg the moment I tried transforming it for the first time. They may have given it a nice paint job but they painted the joints as well, which made the posing really tight. When I was able to get my hands on an official SS 102, it was like night and day. The official had some pretty solid plastic, was easier to transform, and had fantastic QC; firm but not stiff. Now granted QC varies but I can’t say I’ve heard many issues with the QC of the official SS 102. Other than the Black Mamba having a better paint job, the official SS 102 is the superior copy compared to it. However seeing as we won’t get an official rerelease of 102 until the start of 2025, I’d suggest to keep your eye on the upcoming BaiWei version of 102. That one actually has an improved leg transformation and I’ve heard more good things about BaiWei’s products compared to Black Mamba.
