I would look at this apartment and say I would probably need to spend $5M just to decorate it the way I would like... meaning it isn't a $50M apartment.. it is probably like a $35-40M, but the final price will be like $29.5M....just because someone is wealthy enough to afford it and spend the money to redecorate it, doesn't they will waste the money in the beginning to nab the apartment...(also you might say well he doesn't have to sell, and well, he doesn't) (He has been trying to sell this apartment for a while) I think he had it for $80M in 2014... meh.. he is dreaming..it is way to distinct to attract the buyers...some individuals I think don't want the headache of a 2-3 year renovation/decorating job, either.. I don't care if you are a billionaire and can afford it.. also it might be more an investment property for a lot of buyers, meaning if the individual who buys it, can't make a profit on it in the future (designing it the way they would like) then they probably won't purchase it..$50M is to high..you are starting to see a lot of the newer apartments from 432 Park and One57 come back onto the market... and some are sitting... crickets.. because people think the market is at its peak and the margin for profits are slimming..

50 million for any home is a stretch. The staircase and structure looks spectacular but it still looks tiny for that price. For that amount, I'd want to be walking half a mile from one end of the house to the other.

It may have cost a fortune but the end result is it still looks a stretch and way overpriced for what it should be.

It would cost hundreds of thousands, if not millions. And despite what they say, he isnt a billionaire.....they have many other homes too, so it makes sense to offload an valuable (and expensive to run) one to concentrate on their others.
