Hi Ryan, You can, but it depends on the clip on the VHF and how easy it is to release the VHF to talk. With the Ninja I may have the radio in the hand warmer pocket attached with a lanyard.

I can't remember! I'm a slender chap so i can get all 3 sizes on, but would prefer to were the LXL so i have a slightly bigger pocket and more foam
