Somi was very clear on the subject. she was looking to make a song in a slightly retro fashion and after talking about it with Teddy and the Black label staff they came to a concept based on techtonic. she made the choice herself, she chose her crew of dancers, she had full creative control over the MV, the outfits, and the lyrics. She knew it was risky and that it wouldn't necessarily please everyone, but she did what she wanted. and if the song is not necessarily a success in the charts it is an undeniable success in nightclubs. Gold Gold Gold is already much more popular and has more speech in Korean. the song has already been nominated for the first place of Mcountdown. and I think she will be successful. we also see the versatility of Somi with more hip hop songs and where she shows that she is also a Rapper. Since SIXTEEN I have detected the potential of Somi and Produce 101 has only confirmed my feeling. Somi is a complete artist and even if Black label won't make her make as many comebacks, if she had stayed with JYP she would at least be able to do what she wants.

Fast forward is a good song and the choreo too. maybe they didn't know about the tectonic if i spell it correctly , But overall her song and choreo are catchy. Also, Alot of people hate this song, Gold gold gold and keep complaining why we got this m/v instead of her other songs. Like, i don't get it why they hate this. All her songs are good and she doesn't have any bad song. she also never dissapoint when it comes to her music, m/v , vocal and choreo.

Really appreciate the insightful commentary, you and Knox Hill are a different class of Reaction. I like Somi, always found her to be cute, funny, and sassy. The number of times obstacles were presented, she has always managed to overcome them to get here, mad respect. I also find it interesting that she has kept all of the friends she made along her career, her comeback timing with Jihyo's solo, and the 2 of the performing each other's challenge!! The one artist I really want Somi to actually work with is Lisa. They are already friends, and the seem to share a fun sense of style. They also work for the same label, let's make it happen YG!!!

I was getting like a Gwen Stefani theme going like rich girl or sweet escape

people doesn’t like this song and kept on calling it trash. i wouldn’t consider it as trash, it’s just it’s not worth the hype. i didn’t like this song at first but they say that because they expect much more for the chorus. i myself expected more for the chorus but after awhile it sounds catchy and it stuck in my head. the choreo is perfect for the song, i like it very much. people shouldn’t overly criticise because it’s not a title, if you get what i mean.
